im not claiming to know a whole lot about genetics. in my first post i claimed to be only an enthusiast. all im responding to is what i've seen on this thread and the couple of incidents i've experienced first hand. i'm sorry if it pisses so many people off that i believe the two snakes in question look more alike than the third. no i dont have a woma just a couple spiders and a few clowns but this thread really takes the wind out of an otherwise awesome hobby. not everyone is a big time breeder and if this is what you have to deal with im happy with my little rack of clowns. wish i could find me a couple more though!

Ken, the problem is not with Joe's service or his quality of animals. The problem is when you post in the BOI calling out someone and you say that their snake Granite Hidden Gene Woma has no granite in it, then you need to show the proof. Its not kevins job to show that they are what he says, he knows the genetics of his snakes. If you know granites you would see that his snakes do carry the markers for the gene. If PHR would show their proof right from the beginning this thread would have been done and over with and the heat would be on Nerd, with out the proof it makes him out to be a liar and someone that has an agenda.

Coming from someone who clearly CAN NOT tell the difference in-between a NORMAL WOMA and a HG WOMA I'll take it as a compliment so Thank You. I've came to the conclusion Kevin didn't lie on this situation because the individual ( Joe Capone @ Power House Reptiles ) who posted this bogus thread simply for the publicity and as a sales pitch has avoided posting and providing the proof he states he has the same proof he he based his wild accusations on. He's gone of rambling about this and that he's made more accusations on completely different morphs as well ( Candy balls, Toffee's, Desert's, CORSLGLOWS ) [ Joe by the way you misspelled Coralglow...) and still he hasn't posted one bit of factual proof he's ran circles similar to a chicken with it's head cut off asking for proof from others... Why should someone else have to prove anything to Joe Capone when Joe Capone can not provide any factual proof him self?

To each their own, If someone would like to buy a Cheap Knock Off Misrepresented animal I say go ahead and buy from Power House Reptiles...

1. Yes the pics are posted. The animals are SIMILAR. But definitely DIFFERENT. The color is different. The bordering on one snake is yellow and the other is white.

3. He states he has the sibling. he shows pictures of animals as proof. The only thing he has proved is that when trying to make the same animals as NERD, his looks a wee bit different.

Maybe I can clear things up a bit. If you have seen enough of them it's incredibly easy to distinguish between the two. I saw a difference between the two when first laying eyes on them. If you know what to look for as far as ball python traits in general it's cake.

Normal woma: In general a spiderish look to it in color and some pattern but they can vary greatly...just like spiders can. Womas also have an elongated pattern that connects to back pattern. On the borders of the patterns along the sides they tend to have more of a yellowish hue instead of white...again it varies from animal to animal but in general it's night and day. Womas have darker eyes and more of a head pattern on most animals. Like spiders womas don't have any great amount of blushing in between the pattern on the sides or over the back. When they become adults womas tend to lighten a bit just as older spiders do. Womas also tend to have a monotone color/hue throughout the body and over the back.

Hidden gene woma:
Hidden gene womas tend to have an elongated pattern that is broken up in places and connects to the back pattern like normal womas but there are thicker areas in between the actual pattern and some really tweaked out patterned areas. The side patterns have bright white bordering them as compared to the normal womas that have more of a yellow border. Hidden gene womas have lighter eyes and some even have a steel color to them. As a rule they also are faded on the tops of their heads with no real pattern in the blushed out area. There is much more blushing coming up from the bellies and in between the pattern on hidden gene womas...very easy to spot this. The pattern on the dorasal area of hidden gene womas is pretty much always a bright yellow as babies/juvies and then dulls a bit as the animal ages but it's always brighter than the rest of the pattern color.

Here are some pics for comparison:

Normal woma pattern

Note the pattern is very close together and looks spiderish. No real blushing. There's head pattern. Yellow bordering the pattern on the sides. The overall color is the same on the animal as far as the pattern goes.

Hidden gene woma pattern

The pattern has much bigger gaps in between it and it looks nothing like a spider. No head pattern. Some nice bright blushing showing. Loads of bright white bordering the side pattern. The pattern is three different colors here with the dorsal being bright yellow.

So if you look back and forth at the two it's quite obvious what the differences are. Hope this helps!

in my eyes matt made the differences pretty obvious and now its really easy to tell em apart. the head, the eyes and espacially the bordering.


as far as coral glow and whitesmoke goes- wasnt the whitesmoke just the founder of the coral glows? its the first male that started the cg line. just like the first original champagne female from brian was called mint pearl.


what i absolutely dont like is that even today i can go to ks and find a female soulsucker for sale for 17500$ and in the description stands this is a reaction of two hidden genes combined.

thats simply wrong and misleading and im sure as hell that kevin meanwhile knows that. he even posted in this thread that the soulsucker is a simple 1 in 4 combo like the bee- how can that be when uve 2 normal and 2 hidden genes combine? that would be a 1 in 16 combo.

Joe- Agree 1000%, not only are you correct in the information above, Matt (GHI) also posted that Soul Suckers can be made from Regular Lessers, Butters and Mojaves.

Does it make it right to Lie if you are among the biggest in the industry? Do you have a longer leash if your the biggest. Are sending snakes out with Kinked tails and Mites acceptable if you are the largest breeder in the US? NO, NO and NO.

Last but not Least, Is it a conflict of interest for a super moderator of Fauna Classifieds to come onto this post and expose the OP's personal past, listing information dating back 7+ years none of which where positive in nature?

Anyone can bring that up. In fact a few did before Dennis posted. Should he have not posted in blue? Maybe. But the fact remains that even though he is a mod, he has opinions that can be expressed.

This thread proves that Joe likes to stir the pot, so to speak. Which, given his past, he likes to do. While this isn't a court of law, your past deeds can and will be used to show the likely hood of the falseness of your claims.

I'm sure there ARE things about Kevin that need to be addressed, but Joe went about it ALL WRONG. And now we are all left to fend for ourselves, pick up the pieces and figure it out without taking anything Joe says as fact. Because everything Joe says at this point is a joke.

He keeps quoting his pics of snakes and saying everyone is wrong, even when there is so much proof that his animals are NOT what he thinks they are. He will just keep gorilla thumping his chest, swearing we are all idiots who can't see things for ourselves.

NOPE IT IS NOT. If someone is bad and is proven bad and has not done a thing to change..... then the information needs to be put out there.
