Apparently, a lot of people find it difficult to let Animal Control do their jobs. It would have been easier to report him, and lighter on your purse to report him to the appropriate people.
IMO, that would have done more immediate good/longterm good than taking on another's burden for yourself.
If there are other animals there and you have evidence that will stand that you received these animals from that alleged seller then you can still do some long term good.
Since you negated your right to have a refund (imo) by purchasing the animals after you viewed them (that's implied "AS IS"...again, IMO as I have not researched the legalities), then I, agree with Willow, that
