In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My first clutch of the year is finally on the ground! Laid Apr. 14!

Titanium (CH Axanthic) x Irulan (Normal)

She laid eight good eggs for me two years ago, and here she goes again! Her timing this year was only a handful of days off from last time, too. Methinks this is going to be a trend with all the girls....

Had a pre-lay shed from another female that day, too, and a possible ovulation from another in the last couple days. Things are sure ramping up!

Goodie! Can't wait to see some babies from this guy.

Yep, good ol' Nimbus knows how to please the ladies! :D I can't wait either!

I'm hoping for some Nimbus x Voodoo babies later in the year, though it depends on whether Voodoo ever wants to eat again. Silly snake. :p

Looking good, best of luck on some nice babies!

Thanks a bunch! :)

Congrats on a nice, solid clutch!! Mine tend to lay about the same time, too, no matter how much I try to sweet talk them into laying earlier! lol

Hahaha, yeah, wish I could sweet-talk mine! This girl went 48 days between her pre-lay shed and laying two years ago. I was hoping such a long wait was just a fluke.

Nope. Goofball went 51 days this time. :p

Woo Hoo Eggs!
Congrats!

Mine are all way late this year. My first clutch isn't due to lay until later May... Then the next not until July! I'll be having later season clutches. July, September for 2 or 3 girls, and one possibly in October... (This all judging from follicle size from ultrasound.)

Hope you have awesome odds and healthy babies!

Congrats on the clutch Krystal!!! Show us some pics when they hatch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!! I sure will! :D

Thank you!! Bummer on having to wait so long. I understand, though; my first (and only) clutch last year wasn't laid until June! *shakefist*

Well, I kept waiting to post updates on my clutches since I expected one clutch to hatch and another to be laid this week, but the hatching babies are taking their sweet time coming out of the eggs and the other hasn't been laid yet. Goofballs. So I figured I might as well post what has been going on in the meantime. (I bet after I post this, everything will happen at once.) :p

Clutch #2 was laid on May 22, 2012: Bromine (G-stripe) x Beryllium (het G-stripe). I actually half expected them be infertile given the size of the female, but nope! She gave me five long, thin, beautiful eggs! (I think they look more like brats than BP eggs! Hee hee!)

Irulan's clutch (bred to Titanium, a CH Axanthic) started pipping Tuesday, which surprised me given it was only 52 days into incubation! I don't have any good pictures yet because not only have none of them come out of their eggs yet, but they also apparently don't like to even stick their noses out. So pics of the babies in the next couple days!

One last thing: a question. This CH Axanthic has not been proven genetic yet (I'm working on it). I will, of course, only be selling the babies as "possible" hets of a new line of Axanthic. What I'm wondering, though, is whether to give the Axanthic a name before it's proven (i.e., name the new line a PtP Axanthic or something like that). I would rather not give it a name until it's proven, but if I don't name them now and it proves genetic later, those who have the hets may not know what line of Axanthic they have. I would hope that someone with a possible het of a new line of recessive morph would keep track of whether or not said morph has been proven out (if they don't prove it out themselves), but I'm sure some people don't. Your thoughts? (I'm not even going to bother about whether the line is compatible with any other line, yet...though, given the color and pattern, if it's compatible with any other line, it would likely be the TSKs.)

I'm gonna want in on these lines ;)!

Cool! I'll let ya know when they're available! :-]

Here are some pics of the babies! The last two finally crawled out of their eggs yesterday.

Some of them are really dark and have strange patterns like lots and lots of doughnuts. I'm planning on keeping at least a female, though the one I love the most is a male, so I just might have to keep him, too...though I know I shouldn't. :p

The sex ratio appears to be 3.5, but I'll check again after they shed. I sometimes overestimate the number of females the first time around.

Also, Europium (het Red Axanthic) finally laid her clutch last night! Nine good eggs and one slug. (There goes my no-slug record. Boo.) She was bred to Tungsten, a VPI Axanthic.

At the end of this month or the beginning of next, my most anticipated clutch should be laid: Lesser x Mojave. I've wanted a BEL ever since I first saw a picture of one, and I'm finally getting my chance!!! So excited!

I has a sad.

Well, I can see pattern in some of Beryllium's eggs already, and I know that two are het G-Stripes. I think at least one of the others is a stripe, but I honestly can't tell for sure. :(

The bigger bummer, though, is my Lesser x Mojave clutch. I've been waiting for this ever since I saw my first blue-eyed leucistic. I expected seven or eight eggs from Uranium (Mojave), which would be great odds for getting at least one BEL.

Well, she did lay eight eggs...

...but half were slugs. :( Good kick to the stomach, right there. Ah, well. Four are good, so I could still get a BEL!

Damn, that's a shame about the slugs, but the others look really healthy! And don't think 'one' BEL, think two!

Sorry to hear about the slugs, but you've still got a really good chance at your BEL. Best of luck with all of those nice clutches!

Hee hee, thank you! I should! :-] Who knows what's in these four eggs?

Thank you! Yeah, I do, so I shouldn't complain! ;)
