In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The Super Champagne shed today and here's an updated picture. She is pretty neat, kind of translucent, if you look closely you can see veins, etc. I think that's giving her the pinkish look. It's difficult to get a good picture as some came out more yellow, or too pink. I think this picture shows her look the best.

She is very shy and constantly tucking her head in. Definitely not 100% but she seems much stronger now.

She's a stunner Dave...is it just me, or does she seem to have a very feint, busy pattern?

Love it Dave. Excellent job, I am praying she stays nice and strong for you.

I think the busy pattern look we are seeing are the veins he was talking about :shrug01:

Unfortunately, the Super Champ didn't make it, she was weak from the beginning and passed on Thursday.

Out of curiosity Dave, other than being weak from the start, did anything else seem "off" about her?

That is too bad. Considering what happens with champ-spider/woma combos I figured as much, but, was hoping for you! So sorry. :(

Thanks everyone!

She wasn't 100%, it wasn't like a spider wobble but something neuro was going on. When she was weak she seemed somewhat normal (besides the weakness). As she got stronger she seemed overly stressed once distubed. She was very flighty or she would tuck her head almost in a panic mode.

I wonder if incubating a clutch like that at a lower temp would possibly increase the odds of the snake surviving... like... 86...

My reasoning for this line of thinking is that perhaps, if it was a developmental issue, incubation at a lower temperature would result in longer incubation overall, and slower development... This COULD (in theory) allow for more time for neuronal development to occur, possibly resulting in a stronger snake...

Granted, my hypothesis may be WAY off... but it was a thought that had crossed my mind while reading the thread...

Not sure if you mentioned it already, but will this be something you pursue again? Possibly seeing if it has a different outcome next time?

What connection is there between incubation/development time and neurological problems? Why would slower development decrease chances for problems? Logically, I don't see any sort of connection between the two. Is there evidence of a correlation elsewhere?
