No no I had apologized that i had gotten kellys words mixed up. She said she was treating it which was the back scars and I thought mouth wound. I'm a new breeder and I'm trying to make my name. I'm trying to clear my name as well as kellys.

Do you really feel that you're doing a good job at that? My understanding of the situation is that the peanut gallery's overzealous participation is what pushed him over the edge and precipitated this whole thread's existence. Knowing that, do you truly believe that your continued participation here is helping either you or Kelly?

The vast majority of people posting here don't seem to be buying what your side is selling. You guys keep insisting on posting so that this stays at the top of the BOI list. In that, you're not doing yourself or any of your friends any favors. Tom seems content to let this situation fizzle out of it's own accord, so who's the one that needs to leave who alone and put an end to this "circle"?

Well, since you seemingly jumped in half-cocked, before you and Kelly managed to get your stories straight, it certainly seems to me that the fact that you claimed she was treating the mouth wound, is more than enough to cast some serious doubt on her. I think the FB proof is all he really needs, though. She conceded that it may have happened in her care and didn't contest it in any way. I know, I know, it's the drugs talking.



Assuming that your portrayal of the time line is accurate, these statements might almost have a little merit if not for my previous paragraph.

Unfortunately, you lack either the attention to detail to have noticed, or general mental capacity to understand, that she offered Tom a refund or an exchange. Which he subsequently refused. A remorseful buyer would have taken her up on that offer.

Terms of Service don't even remotely come into play in this situation. Unless, of course, one were dim-witted enough to think that somehow he'd be obligated by TOS to return the snake to her.

Now we're really concerned. Tom just threw her on the scale, she is 197 grams, and looks the same as she does in the second picture. We will post a picture of her progress tomorrow. She is doing 100% better.

Kelly, please tell me her birth date? Tom, and quite a few others, routinely get their females to 900-1200 grams in a fiscal year. Does anybody else agree?

I saw the other female, I was there that day, that snake appeared light weighted by a couple hundred grams. If this Granite, at roughly 200 grams is a year old plus, and eats the way I have seen it, I am in fear for what ever is at your house right now.

Seems like an awful lot of chat for an animal that was personally checked out before taking. Was offered a refund or replacement and never posted the vet's diagnoses. I have to believe this is just a bad blood post. KY Reptiles seemed to want to do the right thing. I just have a hard time believing an experienced herper would miss that injury. I would never try and damage some ones rep when they tried hard to fix a problem.

We got drug through the mud for noticing this 3-4 days after purchase. This is an INFO THREAD, take what you want.

Tom's opinion was all I needed, but he did reach out to a friend of his, he knows three qualified parties that save all types of lives everyday, all day. Reptiles included. These guys take it serious if they lose just one, they are my hero's.

I don't think anything posted on a public forum can really be considered harassment, as you have the capability to ignore it very easily.

Now if Tom is blowing up your phone or knocking on your door, that's another story.

Please tell me how he has shown proof. The only proof he has is that facebook post saying the holes may have occured that day he bought her. You all say people make mistakes and that's a strange spot to look a snake over. So if it's okay Tom missed it as a buyer (who looked the snake over in the parking lot), how is Kelly supposed to see it?

So he "found" it the 12th.

This appears to be another case of buyers remorse. Whenever you buy an animal in person you have to inspect for any visible flaws.

I also think the seller should have disclosed the holes on the bottom lip of the snake.

Why does my age matter? You husband clearly isn't acting his. I mean who calls people names and doesn't handle these things in a professional mannerism under the age of 14. As for the pastel. I STATED MY OPINION! I said it's his snake, if he wants he can sell it for a $1000 I DO NOT CARE. I just personally wouldn't spend $400 on a pastel under 1000 grams unless they resembled a friends pastel that I know. So get off my back about that. There is no reason to obsess over such a small little comment. I'm selling mine because he didn't turn out the way I wanted and I don't have plans for him. All I ask is that you leave me alone get over your OCD and get on with you life I'm living mine. I don't usually say anything on fauna BOIs because it is a pointless run around system on the BOI like it is right now. I have my opinion you have yours get on with your life why don't you? I'm fine with my life, going to college, studying how to open 5 star hotels and restaurants in one of the top Hotel and Restaurant management schools in the country.

I might agree that a lot of people routinely do it...but I don't generally feed my animals that heavily. The fact that a lot of breeders achieve those growth rates doesn't make them "normal".
That said, 200g at a year makes me think the animal is either a problem feeder or has been underfed.
