    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Carlos Valadez (Animated Geckos)

Cherie I'm happy for your good experience and you have every right to share it. If someone bites you for that, bite back. (You did!)
Besides, it isn't how a seller handles a good sale that defines him, it is what he does when there are issues.

Thanks for that. I agree and I think he is handling it. Sometimes life happens and we forget that we can only stretch ourselves so thin.

Thanks for that.
Keep in mind I have every respect for Kevin because people are in fact sent in sometimes by a party to bolster their side. I hope you understand that happens.

That is true. But good communication is key. Buyers should not have to come here for resolution, a good seller will make arrangements with their buyers when things don't go as planned.
The seller has been asked to bring certain information here rather than link it, he has not done so. He is providing minimal updates and had to be asked for those.
It seems as if, when there is an issue, it is a lot of effort to get him to do anything. I wouldn't want to deal with that, and I personally wouldn't want to deal with him..

What imformatio was i asked to bring? He didnt come here for a resolution he came he came here to "warm" people about me because i am a "scammer" in certain peoples prespctives. If anyone has questions i will answer them it is complicated enough to deal with the forums and facebook and pleading cases for a mistake i made from lack of communication. He didnt even tell me about the BOI nor did he have to but he did contact me through facebook and i did a search and found this. As i said i have the buyers phone number and will receive updates on weather like he asked me to.

One thing that I believe needs to be added in this "I came here voluntaraly" is that Carlos had requested for Cherie to post a good guy review about him on GF and Fauna. If has had requested this, he very well could of requested her to back him up too. She only has 2 post on gecko forums and both were about Carlos. Post #22 on http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=89149 shows where Carlos admitted to requesting for her to post the good guy report.

It took 2 weeks for Carlos to contact the buyer but had the gull to basically complain about Chris not getting back to him in 1 day. From Carlos's FB page, "I am yet to hear a reply from you what happened to trying urgently to contact me?" http://www.facebook.com/pages/Animated-Geckos/235002166561121 He wanted to get resolved before he went to work and left for san diego the next day.

He says he was out of town for a short vacation looking for colleges thus the reason for not contacting the seller for for 2 weeks. The thing is though, he posted pics of his geckos on the 11th, 17th, and 18th. To me, that is saying he was home but felt like he didn't have to comment at the time. I'd say that is the lack of post on FB from the 12th to 16th was his short vacation. One pic he post on the 17th is a gecko which the OP said was the one sold to him. It may not be a scammer but sure it piss poor customer service.

A moderator and myself told you that posting a link to your counter to the accusations wasn't BOI protocol. You will either have to write here in your own words or copy any paste the information you provided on the other forum. Your refusal to do so, reflects on your lack of respect for the rules. Which in turn, reflects badly on your character. IMO

this is what i told "ceemee" if you are satisfied with the animals you bought then could you do me a favor and do a itrader via text message, im not denying i said that, however i didnt asked her to back me up on here, i didnt know the accounts she had we contacted eachother via txt and email.

It was more like around 9 days not two weeks, and yes it took me very long to reply to this client, i did go on a short vacation while still working 35-40 hours at my job, i just had 3days off one week and 1 following in the transition of the next work week so yes 4 days off but i had to make but im still working those 40+ hrs and could not get on my laptop to see messages, I did state and accept that it was unprofessional of me to not keep in contact but I was busy with work/geckos/ and seeing colleges so like i said on the other forum i did get on my phone but could not read messages. That picture was the gecko i sold him i didnt know i wasnt allowed to post pictures. I did not complain i simply stated that i had to go to work and having more absence is bad, and i did say "I am yet to hear a reply from you what happened to trying urgently to contact me?", simply because he threaded me with attorneys and said rude comments as in " you fu^#$& with the wrong guy, though i am not bashing him for it i completely understand his reactions. In short, I did have poor customer service with this ONE client, and I apologize for it but this isnt the my last customer, I have people wanting me to keep them updated with projects because they liked the way we did the transactions, you can believe it or not I cant take a screenshot of their texts for obvious reason, however it seems that this client still wants to go through with this transaction, I can give him a refund anytime he wants to bail out, and as i said before we are contacting eachother via txt message now and he has access to me almost 24/7 now. I certainly learned from my mistakes and will not do deals via "online" when life is this hectic.

Here is a shipping label to prove "ceemee" is a real client and if you need more proof, things are crossed out for obvious reasons.

you mean the geckoforums thread? yeah i didnt know about that one i noticed it when he contacted me via facebook which i replied in hours, and thats when i noticed the thread 3 days after being posted, no one notified me about it. I did not know about he was trying to contact me, (you already heard my side of the story) and he knew my location and weather though contacting me wouldnt change much since its still pretty hot though obviously communication is important, and it was a bad on my part, i already said the reasons why i couldnt communicate with him, Chris did deserve better customer service i understand that but i am not perfect and i cant change the past simply because i dont live there anymore, so if certain people dont want to do business with me over one mistake thats ok by me, this is not a business to me i like the hobby and dont make profit because most money made funds my new animals or to upgrade the equipment.

Justin, I did come here voluntarily to back him up. He did ask for a report if I was happy so I did. I didn't exactly understand how that worked til then. I actually have dealt with a few people that are very upstanding on this forum and am new to all this. I actually have a gecko and a basilisk that I am waiting for because it is to hot to ship. I as well have been on the receiving end of a bad communications so I know it sucks but gave her the benefit of the doubt. I was just trying to say that sometimes people aren't always all bad.

Carlos, you admit you dropped the ball in staying in contact with your customer, which is good.

As both a seller & buyer, I find it completely unacceptable that 7, 9 or 12 days went by without any communication from you. When someone has your money and doesn't stay in contact with you ... yes they are going to think the worst. When you have someones money for an animal that you have not shipped yet, due to weather or other extenuating circumstances, you should be available if they have questions.

I agree. If you are going out of town, let the buyer know or set up an e-mail response saying so. Unless it's an emergency, there is no excuse for not keeping in contact.

You are right i did make that mistake, and it is not a excuse you guys already heard my side of the story, and we are still going through with the transaction, so if you dont want to do business with me over one mistake then so be it, km sure ill get a better rep with future customers anyway.

I actually did it all on my own as I do have my own mind. I am on here every day and hate that I am being condemned for saying something positive. Less negativity would make the world a better place.

Actually I think more honesty would make the world a better place.

Thanks for pointing out the fact that Carlos asked her to post a thread about him at gf.

@op

Could you please post the proof that you have saying you tried to contact him?

@Carlos

A flipper is someone who buy animals just to sell them. It usually has a negative connotation. You mentioned buying 300-500 geckos on gf and was wondering what exactly you meant by that.

Did you ship geckos to CEEMEE during the time you were supposed to ship to the op?

This thread will definitely prove someone a liar.
