Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I would like to point out that if Bill is going along with Robert and his wife then he is no better than they are. So far you guys have painted Bill as a liar, spineless and foolish. Yet you claim to admire him! What the heck do you guys say about those you don't like?

Oh! I remember you insinuate their children are bullies and thieves.

Unless there's some sort of coercion involved. Can you say there is not?

I can say that there is something very not right about this.
 
Kevin - usually I agree with your posts, but not here.

What If - the closed-door session we are not privy to involved a lawyer (as was suggested) or another form of "if I lose the Serpentarium, you lose any payback I was giving or going to give you"?

Bill is not as bad as Robert. I believe he has been painted into a corner.
 
I think Robert talking Bill into making that post is a lot more likely than Bill transferring the property to Robert without his knowledge.

At what point during the discussion of sales terms did Robert plan to mention that he was in the midst of a 'BK'? The number $228,000 has been thrown around...surely they had a conversation or two before the transfer occured.
 
Robert and I had our own contract and even notarized but when I transferred the property to Robert later on without notifying him, the State found it and he could not do anything about it. I sent up a red flag unintentionally. My mistake!

Thanks, Bill. All I am trying to say is that he should have told you prior. If you had a contract notarized and everything, how is it NOT shady of Robert to try to buy the place when he was dealing with a bankruptcy?

Even if that is all true I still don't see how that was your fault. Had you been made aware of Roberts bankruptcy prior to writing up a contract would you have still gone through with the deal? Would you still have transferred the property to his name? I think (hope) not.

Why are you holding yourself accountable when Robert is the one who withheld some very relevant and important information from you which could have prevented the whole mess if you were made aware of it from the beginning?
 
Well, that's how it all went down. Robert and I both made mistakes, thanks to his mom to buy it from the State before someone else did.

An excellent post. Bill, there are many questions here that need to be answered.

Most importantly, would you have gone forward with this if you knew Coral was in Chapter 7?
 
Bill, I get what you're saying but whats hard to believe is how can you just transfer anything to anyones name without them knowing? Unless the person has given power of attorney to someone due to a physical or mental disability I dont see it..
 
I would have waited until it was over. Robert was in a rush because several other people were very interested in purchasing the Serpentarium and that was the business he really loved and wanted to do.
 
My wife and I went to a legal document assistant who filed out the necessary papers for the transfer and I went over to the County building in Stockton and filed it.
