• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Steve Doss - SnakeFX Caging

I got this email on Wednesday and have been trying to come up with a response.

I'm a bit unsure as to how I should proceed as I need the cages still, but I also don't think it's fair for me to still end up paying the originally agreed upon price after having to wait this long without any communication whatsoever; I was thinking that a partial refund of some sort should still be in order to compensate for the lateness, lack of communication, & time lost.

Ideas?

one way that has worked for me in the past of protecting my buys.....come here to the BOI and run the name or names of person or company. Or yeah google it. This dude deserves to refund you. Taking care of this quicker then paypal...your gonna need a louiseville wood bat but would prefer aluminum. Good luck with that. And for the John guy. Do mosquitos refuse to bite you purely out of respect? When you drive a brand new car off the lot....does it increase in value? Does your business card simply say "Ill call you"? Then yes my dear Sir. You are the most interesting man in the world. Dos Equis for you. (I just HAD to do that. Reading what you wrote only made me think of that commercial and that mans face. And i agree with Harold).

Ryan need to get that money bank...and honestly the only way to get that back quicker then paypal is a louiseville bat and a plane ticket. And John...i gotta ask...HAve you won the Lifetime acheivement awards TWICE? Have you taught a German shepard how to bark....in RUSSIAN? If you were to punch me in the face....would i have the urge to THANK YOU? Do roses stop and smell...YOU? (im sorry i had to do that...as i read your posts i just imagined you thinking you were the most interesting man in the world and i agree with harold. Your resume means nothing in this post)

Ryan you should ask for your money back. Put that money away and move on to another. Take the money. Then look around for another supplier.

I do not think that physical confrontation is an appropriate way to get a refund.
The confronter could end up in jail facing charges, or be met at the door with someone holding a far more lethal weapon than a baseball bat.

His intentions could be pure, however, you could also be in for another 4 months of being jerked around. If he were sincere I think he would have just refunded the money without having to ask. I would personally request a refund and start looking elsewhere, not that I think you'll actually get it.

After having you wait months and sending you to expos when he knew he wouldn't be there, I would be royally ticked off at this "trying to make it right" email. He's had plenty of opportunities to make it right by giving you the refund you asked for. Personal problems are unavoidable and I don't want to be insensitive to that, but you shouldn't keep a person waiting so long when you already took their money.

I agree that he should've offer you the cages AND a partial or full refund to make all this worth your time and aggravation but that seems to have not occurred to him. Small claims court would probably accomplish the same thing that he's offering, either the cages or the money. So you just need to decide if you think he'll still send you on a wild goose chase to get these cages or if you'd rather spend your money elsewhere.

I just sent this email in reply to his most recent one; hopefully I'll finally get my refund.

It many not be appropriate. But it is one of many option. I see he has taken the correct way. Get your money brotha and look elsewhere. This website is full of good people who can help you out. But let me say this. Nothing really comes for cheap. If you think.the deal is to good to be true. It just may be. Hope you got your money back.

I haven't received my refund yet, and it's been over two weeks since I sent that email.

It's really too bad that he's squandered his chance for some redemption.

He was also at Columbus, Ohio last month too. He was also listing several bps for sale on various Ohio reptile groups on Facebook.
