    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Rob Hutchinson - laterob

We've all made mistakes in our life. We've all hurt others, intentionally or unintentionally. How we deal with what we have done says a lot about us.
I think Thomas hurt Rob with his unfounded accusations. Looking over what was written, I believe Thomas hurt the snake. And by his continued actions here, he is hurting himself in ways he cannot possibly realize at the moment.

I see the snake, Yellow, is doing well back in Rob's care. Rob himself has shown exceptional patience and courtesy throughout the ordeal forced upon him.
I believe that if Thomas were to apologize and move on, he might be able to move past this unfortunate chapter of his life.
But the two threads 'starring' him (this thread has Rob's name on it, but to me it is actually is about Thomas) will be here forever and Thomas' continued insistence that he was right and everyone else was wrong does not bode well for his future.

I think Thomas does not realize that in the future, almost every potential employer will do an internet search on potential employees. Just as potential buyers and sellers read the BOI and then draw their own conclusions as to whether they wish to deal with a vendor or buyer, employers too will read what has been written here and draw their conclusions as to how they see a particular person.

Would you hire Thomas Dorn?
 
You're absolutely right about that, Lucille; and I've gotten several requests to remove old threads because they have come up in interviews (and the people felt that they have lost opportunities because of them). These threads are permanent, and too few people consider what the impact of their actions/words might have 3+ yrs down the road. They might leave the hobby behind, but pay the price for years after.

It seems there has been some misunderstanding as to my intentions on this form. It seems to me that the consensus in this community is that I am either 1) Justifying the actions and comments of Thomas Dorn or that 2) I am in fact Tomas Dorn himself or an affiliate. Let me make myself perfectly clear neither of the said statements are true. As for the accusations concerning my email address, I must admit there does seem to be some coincidental similarities in my email address to the the name of Mr. Dorn. I assure you that this is mere coincidence. The initials of my fiance are TDO and she is a practicing registered nurse. We used her title in the email address. Finally to answer the the last question posted... No I personally would not hire Thomas Dorn based on the demeanor he demonstrated on this forum. Now that we have gotten ostracizing Mr. Dorn out of the way, I'd like to ask... are there any other sellers on hear that I should be weary of other than Thomas and Rob? Are there any sellers that you highly recommend based on buying experience?

All night to think up something good...and that's the best he could come up with. Assuming that it is Thomas, it's a sad commentary on the intellect of a supposed Ph.D candidate. I'm not entirely sure that this person is Thomas Dorn, but the strongly implied compulsive need for attention seems to support the idea that it is him. Either way, it's pretty obvious that even if it's not Thomas, they're in league. The email address appears to be a pretty blatant red herring. He knew it'd be discovered and speculated upon. Not only does he get to have his pathetic and cowardly little joke, but he also gets to run the post count up in a thread that doesn't have "Thomas Dorn" in the title line.
 
Thomas, your vet misspelled neurological, as well as the name of his own hospital. Please let him know he works at Westgate, not Westagate.

Since this has been resurrected, I will state here that I have done business with Rob and everything went great. I would also buy from Rob again.

I would love to be able to write a good word about Rob and his critters, but seeing that I have to do business with him first makes me want to speed up that process!

My friend told me about this thread about the time it was at 114 pages or so. I charged up my Ipad and took over 5 hours to read it all AND the negative thread Mr. Dorn started about you"

When someone goes to such great lengths to smear someone, especially when they haven't done anything wrong except finding out that after the fact they sold to a complete loon, I have some sympathy for that person...they didn't deserve to deal with (now closing in on 120 pages) worth of crap from just ONE person.
 
I will look back tomorrow and see if I posted a GG for Rob. If I did not, I will. :)

Rob, I kept several of the boas I bought from you & like their mom, 2 girls have quite an attitude. :D
 
I just watched the video of the "defective" snake, and I do not understand how Thomas though that snake needed life support. I saw nothing wrong with the snakes mobility. She looked very alert and active which is surprising after being in his "care". I'm glad you have her back Rob, now she can enjoy being taken care of properly and she won't have to worry about more tubes being shoved down her neck. Good luck with her :)
