In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I did a quick search on him in the BOI and on google and nothing popped up.

He has a snake labeled as a 2010 Sharp Dream Pastel Sunglow that he recieved directly from BoaBasement, and while I have no reason to doubt this (I have not directly contacted Doug to confirm, but will be doing so), it is still an incredibly low price compared to what I have seen these animals go for. Suspiciously low.

He is just BARELY out of my range to physically see the animal before deciding to purchase, so I am turning to you all to see if I can gather any information on this gentleman to make sure that this is a safe deal to pursue, and not just another scam.

Thank you!

WARNING!!!

James Cline has been CONFIRMED AS A POSSIBLE SCAMMER!

Emails have been exchanged with Doug, and after checking his records, he has informed me that not only is there no record of the transaction, but, in fact, there couldnt possibly be a record because he held back every single Dreamglow for his own projects and did not sell any to anyone.

Beyond Dougs word, I have no further evidence that he is truly a scammer, but to all of those who read this post: Please be aware of the situation, and take precautions with this individual.

I will be notifying James of this thread, he does deserve a chance to defend himself, although Doug's word is more than enough for my personal descion on the matter.

Hi Zach,
that ad is a complete lie. I still have all my Sun Dreams aka pastel sharp sunglows in my possession. This person is out to steal peoples money by using my name.
If you want to see the real Sun Dreams go to my YouTube page and watch “boa intro-part 1 and especially part 2 at the end of that video. My user name on YouTube is boabasement with no break in between.

Good afternoon,

I am emailing you with an inquiry regarding the authenticity of a 2010 Dreamglow boa.

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=395692

If the records still exist, can you please send me confirmation of this animals existence (is it truly a Dreamglow?) as well as proof that a transaction took place between you and the individual that has posted the advertisment.

Thank You,

Zach Maras

Said pastel dream in ad as I havent seen Doug use any other pastel lines but can not claim it is a Dreamglow . So it is listed as a pastel dream sunglow

The add definitely says pastel dream.

I asked Doug not only about the boa itself, but about any transaction between you and himself. Even if there is some tricky play on words here that all of us are just not aware of, Doug has denied the entire transaction with you. He has also been informed about this thread. It is his own discretion to participate in this thread or ignore it, he has already made his claim in writing and I have posted it for all to see.

IT DOES NOT SAY DREAMGLOW
It doesn't say platypus, either. What's your point? I don't think that trying to get creative with the nomenclature is going to fool anyone.

You say this:
I never said it was a sun dream. It is a pastel sharp sunglow produced by Doug.
Doug says this:

Seems pretty clear to me.

Will ad changed it isnt not a Pastel dream . Was sold to me as such by Gary Rose (Doug's vendor) .Spoke to Doug an got it all straight.

Ad will be changed sorry type (O) in anger over being ripped off by Gary Rose you can call an confirm with Doug just got off the phone with him. He did confirm it is his animal. Thanks for helping me get this straight never intended to rip anyone off.

Spoke to Doug an got it all straight.

The PM you just sent me (which I can post publicly if anyone would like, so I don't get accused of making a false claim) clearly suggests that you don't care enough to prove your claims, but I'm probably not alone when I say that I would love to see proof of your conversation with Doug.

SPOKE to hmm meaning a phone call. You called him once call him again.

Post what you like . It was sold to me as a pastel dream sunglow produced by Doug BY HIS VENDOR. So yea its not a pastel dream sunglow after speaking with Doug (ON THE PHONE).
I have been corrected. An will relist when I can . Have made correction in the listing best I can do by phone at this time. Yes I was ripped off by Gary Rose nothing i can do about that so nothing to clean up about it. Doug has no way to reach him an I doubt I can either.

If you are serious about your reputation, it would not be an issue to pursue proof of innocence. I have no reason to contact Doug, he has already told me you are a con. If you are not a con, then have your name cleared up in writing. The path is an easy one.

Adding a third party into the mix like this is only muddying the water. I don't think it would be unfair to request an invoice or similar to show that you were honestly misled, and are not simply trying to misdirect the accusations.

On a side note to others, I was not aware that Doug used third-parties to sell his stock. Can anyone confirm or deni this without having to bother Doug any more than I already have?

Just received another email from Doug. He has informed me that James did call.

He said, paraphrased, that it has been cleared up, and that James will not be misrepresenting the animal anymore. He made no comment on whether the misrepresentation was accidental or intended, made no comment on whether the animal is truly in James' possession, and, lastly, suggested that an eye be keep out for any other "accidental" misrepresentations. I will post a copy of the email shortly, for the sake of a good record.
