In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Fire and Ice Dragons

I just wanted to say that I probably shouldn't have said so much about the price, sense thats not really the issue here. But after looking closer it looks like it might be leatherback, and possibly hypo. Which all helps make them more expensive. I just went by the color and the description (white/yellow with no mention of morphs). I still think its WAY over priced, but not as bad as I made it sound. I wouldn't sell a hypo leatherback for $20.

It's left side in sunken in and it has no color and it's completely neurotic to boot! Thanks Fire and Ice Dragons! I'm not sure I'll breed it with that asymmetrical deformity. I'll keep it because it has a better chance of surviving with me. Breeders like Terri are the reason dogs get Prozac nowadays. But you're right VISA should refund me for the animal that just hatched as there is no way in hell I want another from her. I've got a letter from my vet suggesting the instructions Terri gave are crazy.

Maybe you are not standing the appropriate distance (to the foot) when you launch the crickets into the back of the cage and stun them. I would ask for a clarification on that. You might also be inadvertently looking at the eyes of the dragon during this whole process. I say the problem probably lies in the throwing technique ;)

If the Beardie has all of these problems (above listed and more), I think that Terri should consider herself very lucky that you are only seeking a full refund for the baby (egg/baby) that you do not, yet, have. Rather than seeking, at the least end, a partial refund, for the one that you do have, as well.

Honistly I would presue getting money back for the animal that you have also. Either all of it or some of it. In her mind even if she does not get to keep the 500 for the egg/animal she still got to keep he 500 from the animal that you recieved and thats a win for her. She will keep pulling this crap till some one stands and fights. Once it becomes to much work for her, she should stop or atleast start caring about her animals and costumers. Just my though though.

Shipping a 4.5" beardie is an issue to start with. When i was breeding them, the standard was 6" min i believe. It seems like some of these breeders dont want to pay for upkeep and feeding .Just get top $$ over health.
Good luck with the **** ****

Why do people keep spending money on eggs?i bet half of dragons if not 95 percent really don't come out like a collector quality dragon, from my own personal experience i tried to deal with fire and ice they never ever showed me pics of the babies and all they wanted was payment for something i can't see,i even was willing to pay more to see the baby first before purchasing.

take your business else where to someone like CCD,JOSH D,PHANTOM etc etc, cause you will see the babies/parents and get top quality at that and better communication with the seller.

I have had previous dealings with Terri. I will say that she did resolve my issue in the end. Getting to that point was a long tough road. She is not an easy person to work with and does not care about your concerns.

Much like others here have said, I would talk to your credit card company ASAP and go about getting your money back that way. Holding out hope for having Terri do the right thing may work out in the end but it took many hours on here and the phone to get my issue resolved. Save yourself the headache.

Not only are the instructions crazy, some of her "instructions" in my opinion, could actually harm the dragon.

If you haven't already, raise the temp to 110 in the basking area. Some babies need higher heat to eat & digest. For the lights follow the natural daylight cycle.

what's wrong with that?100-115 max temp is what i leave my dragons to,and natural day light cycle is fine as well unless time changes then i change clock back etc.

don't see anything wrong with that personally

I hope you get your refund for both dragons..The one you have is not a 500 dragon and being that you have to go through a lot of trouble just trying to get it to eat is ridiculous. It could have ling term health issues and live a shortened life.I'm sure there are plenty of small time breeders with the same if not better quality...

Hi all,

Thanks for the support and suggestions. Chase Visa has come through and refunded me my money! I guess Terri will have to return her flat screen to Wal-Mart. The little dragon is doing great now. Under the advice of our vet, we began caring for it like a regular dragon and it's eating everything in its path including formula. She's going to be just fine. Can anyone advise as to where we might be able to find a reputable breeder for a yellow male dragon? Thanks again for all of your help guys!

-Eric

might not want to spend that money right away.chase gave you a temporary credit which fire and ice can show proof of the reptile being shipped and they reverse the charge, which then you have to still go to terry for help,u can lose that money i believe up to 60-80 days if they dont respond you are fine

and yes i know i have chase also and know how there refund policy works.

My wife's an attorney and I'm a business efficiency consultant... we're not hurting for money. This is a matter of principle.

It is a temporary credit, but our attorney who handles such matters, has written a convincing letter and I'm sure Teri is not going to want to answer for the costs associated with additional poor decisions. She's subject to Colorado's commerce laws and I'm sure that's a can of worms that she's not going to want to open. I let her keep the $50 shipping and the $500 for the first animal. She screwed me on one animal (Terri sent me a poor quality animal) and I was refunded by Visa for the animal that was never shipped. Seems unlikely she's going to talk Visa into charging me for an animal she never shipped, especially given the notes from our vet suggesting we don't get any more animals from her. Terri actually made out like a bandit as it is. She's not a rocket scientist, but I'm sure she's smart enough to quit while she's ahead.

All I can say is, I have had a similar experience with Terri of Fire and Ice dragons. Fortunately for me it only cost me $200 that I was bilked out of. I blame myself for lack of experience and overall stupidity in 2012 for putting a deposit down on an dragon that wasnt even layed yet, much less hatched.

I had the same issues when asking for a pictures of it when it was allegedly hatched, I was roadblocked with responses such as " I cant take a picture while its in shed"..and "I dont have the time to take pictures, I spend 16 hours per day taking care of them.". The short story was I placed a $150 deposit on a collector quality "super citrus" that she assured me would be the pick of the clutch, and look as good it not better than the "alleged" pictures of the parents on her website. A week later I decided to back out, for reasons both of personal nature, and advice of others, I asked for my deposit back. I didnt see this as an issue because the egges were not even laid yet, but she adamantly refused, citing her "no refunds policy" that I wasnt even aware existed, as its buried in her webpage somewhere, and took a bit of searching to find. That and the fact that when she took my money she never evn informed me that she had a no refund policy.

I thought this was highly unreasonable since it not like she had to hold anything for me, because the eggs werent even laid yet. In the end, after a few weeks of back and forth emails arguing over why I should get my money back and that her behavior was just poor business practice, I decided not to seek legal action because I was preoccupied with a recent personal tragedy in my life. We settled on her instead selling me a "holdback quality" Red dragon which she claimed was priced at $350, but would sell to me for the $150 deposit she already had from me plus shipping.

I recieved this supposedly holdback quality red, its a slow grower, almost dwarfish, though a good eater, with the barest tint of orange. Definitely not what I would consider a holdback in any sense of the word. The entire incedent left a really bad taste in my mouth, and I can say with the utmost certitude that I will never do business with her again. I'm sorry to hear that she is still scamming others, its really a blight upon this great hobby.
