Bad Guy Jared ohsman reptile mogul exotics FRAUD!

Hi, Jared, I am sorry, I did not mean to to belittle you or make you look bad. I was just very upset about all the Grape vine I bought from you last year that had worms in them that I did not know about. They have just started to show the big damamge they are making. That explained when I originally bought them dust was coming out of them. I talked to your employees and they told me to soak them in the pool for a few days. I tried this and this did not work. They survived. The logs that were originally in the cage shaped the contour of it. My pectinatas have been in their cages with no grape vine, not able to climb around for a month, while I am trying to fix this situation. I had to take the logs out also because they were comming out of the logs and were all over my house. If you would like to contact me, my email is [email protected] Thankyou for your concern.
Sean

So this is about stuff that you have had for a year? Or was it a recent purchase

Fresh in brand new was dropped off end of last week. . Our grapevine sells great we get new orders every 2 - 4 weeks
What gets me is his post was at 817 he left my store @10 min b4 that. He seemed happy when he left and was very appreceative of the discount I gave him. I think but am not sure he may have gotten some used stuff a while back at a discount but all used stuff is as is wether its a tank, filter, light or grapevine. But everything we sell used is clean and working when its put up for sale..

You're complaining about something you've had for a year, and just started having a problem with? And calling him a crooked crook, after right after you made another purchase? Why did you not address the issue when you were there, face to face?

so you bought these wood things over a year ago from the store.
You also routinely buy super worms from the store.
Now these wood things have super worms in them.

You do know that 1+1 usually equals 2 right.

Still not sure what you are mad at
Are you mad at yourself for getting super worms into the wood things?
are you mad at yourself that now you probably wont have to buy as many super worms from the store anymore?
Are you mad because you have really no reason to complain about anything?

Tell you what. This thread told me that I DO want to make purchases from Jared.

Grapevine

Complaning about something you bought last year is just plain ridiculous
From the time you bought them to a year later who knows what bugs could have gotten into the wood.

On a side note: Does anyone know about these worms, what are we talking about?

For your situation if they will fit, bake them in the oven as that should take care of any worms in the wood.

I mean I feed the live worms by hand to my pectinatas. To give them a break I will serve them in a deep dish porcelain bowl sold and recommended by Jared and his employees. I follow everything they told me and it does not add up. So it can not be me. They were already infested when I got the last year and i was never told about it, because I was knew to the reptile hobby and did not know. I already talked to Jared's employees about them replacing the logs for me with good ones. They told me they could not do it. How does his employees know that later on this year the vine I wanted was bad, infested with worms, so they told me to wait for their next shipment. When Jared rang me up he told me he never heard of their logs being infested with worms. Isn't that weird that all his employees know but he doesn't. A few months ago, i came in One day and there were bugs, allover the floor crickets, and super worms. This happened because they spilled them, but it only takes A few to escape to start a colony When that happened I was sure that the logs were bad when I bought them. I have good reasons to complain about this. I have tried everything possible.

You must be mistaken. We have never had 1 log with a superworm infestation. I spoke to both employees and they both told me they have never seen this either. S uperworms pupate within 9 days of being separated and then turn into a beatle a week or two after tgey are then a beetle, beetles do not feed or chew they breed lay eggs and die. The eggs then need dpecial conditions to hatch. And they do not feed on grape vine. The grape vine you bought was new to me as well I had just got it last week. If you got some used stuff in the past that is why we couldnt replace it. Anything used is purchaced as is. You and your dad told me when you were in that the supers escaprd in your cage and that they did not come from when you got them. Im a little confused...
I have had reptiles for 24 years and used grape vine in my displays and fed supers and never once have I had this problem. Nor have any of my customers to my knowledge. Damon said you told him that some worms escaped in your cage and got into the wood and you asked if soaking in the pool would help and he agreed it sounded like a good idea if there were worms in the wood. I dont know how I am a crocked croock here or in any way! I volonteered a discount on your last purchase just to b nice because you are a regular customer and I try to take care of those who are regulars. I am sorry you are upset about this and dont kno what I can or should do to make you happy. You call me a crook on a public forum, how dare you! I have never stolen a thing from anyone nor would I take advantage of a kid! I only wish to instill the love I have for reptiles in kids like yourself and this is the thanks I get! I say it again, you didnt buy a single piece of wood from me that was infested with super worms. If you can prove me wrong I will be glad to swap you out and offer a great big apology. I value and appreciate your and everyone elses business why would I do you or anyone else like that? And just a heads up all the grape vine in the pet trade nation wide is supplied by the same guy... I talked to him and he also has never heard of this happening. There are all kinds of bugs in the wild that feed on grape vine but wverything is sandblasted and kilned to clean and remove any bugs. They come in clean and are kept clean we dont just let superworms roam the store... they cost too much to let em go lol anyone who has been in my store can attest to how clean it is. Far from having any form of infestation. The only infrstation we have is great customers and killer herps! :)
Sean I welcome you to call or come in to talk this over. A public forum isnt the place for this....

Do you have or can you get any pictures of the bugs inside the wood? Are you positive they are superworm beetles and not a wood-boring species like powder post beetles? If it's a wood borer, it could have come from the original supplier or it could have come from your home environment. So much time has passed it seems unlikely to find the source now.

You're complaining about something you bought a year ago? You also cannot blame you not "knowing" anything on them. YOU should have done research before buying something. As for superworms being in wood...That doesn't add up. Worms don't bore into wood. Beetles do, and it sounds like you have wood beetles, not superworm beetles. You're sounding like an impudent little child by being demanding a year later. If it was infested in the beginning then you should have addressed it then, NOT a year later. Geesh!

This sounds to me like someone got a bit carried away by the idea of contributing to a bad guy thread (which ended as a good guy thread in most ways if you read it through).

From this, Jared in no way deserves the description "Crooked crook", and you need to understand that this is a serious accusation to make.

I agree that as Jared has publicly, and several times now, offered to help you with whatever it is that happened, you should stop discussing this on the forum and go back to the shop and let Jared do what he can for you - he is being more than understanding.

This happened because they spilled them, but it only takes A few to escape to start a colony When that happened I was sure that the logs were bad when I bought them. I have good reasons to complain about this. I have tried everything possible.

If you were sure the logs were bad when you bought them why did you buy them?

Or I could be confused, you saw that this happened recently so you came to the conclusion that your purchase over a year ago must be related to a recent event?

I have no reason to believe this superworms in grape vine wood story for even a moment. The product was purchased a year ago. It would not take long to see a problem that came with the purchase. Beetles would be manifesting. If this observation is even partially genuine as it has been described/claimed, it would probably have come from its current location.

If you want to take care of this, wrap the wood in aluminum foil and sit it in the exposed sunlight for a few days. The first day should cook everything, but give it a few to knock yourself out with redundancy if you like. You could also use an oven, but I think you might want to take baby steps on your heat sources. Then the infestation, assuming it even exists as claimed in the first place, will have been eliminated.

If you still believe there is an infestation present after the cooking process, look into the possibility of some kind of delusional parasitosis variant.

If the wood is in with an animal you're feeding superworrms to, what's the complaint? Free superworms!

...an infestation present after the cooking process, look into the possibility of some kind of delusional parasitosis variant.

Do they make a spray for that???

I think I'll stop by Jared's shop the next time I'm in AZ. This fantastical farce of a BOI thread is no deterrent.
