I would like to let people out there know, not to purchase any animals from Keith Cantore aka Albinocollector. He does not care about his animals that he sells. Does not back them up, a total rip off. He is a very dishonest person. He will sell you a sick and dying turtle, then say it was healthy when he shipped it. Between the price of the turtle and vet bills, I am out $400.00. And his answer to this is vets lie. I do not want this to happen to any one else. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANY ANIMALS FROM KEITH. I am disappointed in this forum for still letting him advertise animals for sale. Keith hope you feel good about yourself.

What happened between you and Keith Cantore? Do you have any records/evidence such as screenshots, emails, etc and can you post them? Was Keith notified of this thread?

John, if someone posted a bad guy post on you, people would ask for particulars and it is only fair that those bringing complaints against others should be specific.
Tell us more about your turtle and what occurred?

this is Keith speaking ! what we have here People is your typical Freeloader This man bought his Turtle and not only called to thank me and say it was nice but has never Spoke to me Since wich had to have been 2 months ago thats the last time I can remember sending out a single Turtle by itself . JOHN calls me last night and as usuall hides his Phone number/blocked it and is telling me that His turtle is now SOFT SHELLED and will DIE tomorrow . and claims he bought it within the month !! I told him had He called me within a day or two stateing he had a problem with the turtle I wouldve gladly Replaced it free of charge . He says well he/john was just trying to be a good guy and save the turtle with the vet and never contacted Me !! I dont know about all of you readers but if someone sends me a sick animal Im on the phone right as the box is finished opening . He claims he will have the vet show me a papers I then told him You know its been to long and I dont trust your vet I know Vets across this country that will type up paperwork for someone to get paid so that doesnt fly with me . HOWEVER I did tell John last night that if he does send it back even though Im not at fault I will replace the turtle for 1/2 the cost wich he then got grumpy and mumbled words as He hung up . Turtle collectors know that a BABY SNAPPER if its not Healthy and is Soft mooshy shelled and sick like he claimed would be dead within 1 Week it would have never hung on for life after 1 month or 2 months or 3 months . John I suggest you dont slander my name when you do not have the right to or full 100% truth or I will have you in court with a LAWSUIT Im tired of people thinking they can Bully people out of or nickel and dime a Hobbiest/seller for Free animals . I was nice and gave you the chance to get a new turtle very cheap with shiping included just to keep you Happy and possibly coming back in the future and you clearly show now how Ignorant you are to go and slander Me now . If it doesnt stop expect a Legal WAR !!! have a nice day THe offer is still Open also john if you want that Turtle we discussed and to clear it all up I offered teh snapper at 150 shiped I will do it at 125.00 shiped and I will Expect you to also be honest and clear My name here this is ridiculous !!

I was just notified about this By 1 of My exporters !! I replied Below if youd like to read it this sale IM guessing is about 2 months to 3 months old I havent shiped a turtle singally in a while . HE called last night and claimed the SNapping turtles shell is now soft and sick and it was sick when he got it !! HE FORGETS he called Me when he recieved teh Turtle to Thank Me . and somehow 2 months later or how ever long He claims its been sick this hole time !! now I have had thousands of SNAPPING TURTLES if youve owned some you know when you buy a snapper if its sick and mooshy shelled right when you get it like he Lied to me on the phone claiming it does not usually make it even 1 night let alone a few or in this case Months !!! I offered to sell him another at large discount to help him out and he replied Mubling angrily and hung up since he didnt Get his freebee !!

John did you notify your seller in a timely manner that your turtle was ill? I do not know what the seller's TOS says, but if you waited two months to notify, that is too long in my opinion to hold a seller accountable. If you emailed to notify the seller as soon as you received your turtle please post the email.
Where is the paperwork from the vet, please post it.

Your point that your buyer may have waited to long if it was indeed two months before he notified you is well taken, but to then say what you said about vets is insulting to most veterinary professionals. There may in fact be professionals of all kinds who may do something unethical, but you cannot then generalize the poor behavior of a few to vets in general.

well Ididnt imply that All vets do that so a Vet who is legit shouldnt feel insulted !! and reason I SAY THIS is because on the phone last night JOHN tol dme he will go get proof from his VET as in HE DOESNT have proof now !!! Now you see Why I said that ?? because sounds to me as if Hes going to his vet now to try and get Paperwork or make up proof . if you or I took a nimal to the vet after buying it We would have the Receipt and documents right away Correct at least every Vet I know thats how it works !!!. Im not excepting that he doesnt have Valid proof now when he called and doesnt have it to date in hand of when this supposivly happend that doesnt fly

I dont think so IM just pissed that guys like this think they can do this with no legal recourse as in the only other BOI I have from a man who tried scamming me years ago . and he Just happend to stop lieing on Fauna here when I threatened to show the proof to the FEDS cause what he did to me was not only a scam but a federal lacey act on top of it . if anyone has common sense with REASON they can read teh facts and no and understand IM not in 1 bit worried that someone may think Im the bad guy cause I will file a lawsuit thats a joke

TRADER rating ?? haha thats a joke thats the reason Im in negative 2 people like John trying to pull fast ones so cause Im negative 2 and dont have ratings im bad ????? if you know of Me or heard of my animals and Hobbiest ethics You wouldnt even consider Trader ratings !! I have majority of repeat buyers and traders We dont care to do Trader ratings I never once gave anyone a rating not here not Ebay not anywhere . thats for people who cant judge who there dealing with and dont know how to do secure buys . I will drive across country and do deals and sales if need be if i dont feel safe sending $$ . Importers /exporters dont sit and rate people online nor do collectors I dont sell much to public since I cater more to stuff only breeders want thats just ridiculous trader ratings

The reason we have the BOI and trader ratings is because it is hard to judge who one is dealing with. When one sees the prior transactions of buyers/sellers here and whether those who completed the transactions felt they were positive or negative, it gives subsequent readers more information so that they can make an informed choice in their own transactions.

I have a bad rep because 2 people post lies and it stays on here no matter what wich is unfair even after proveing your case . it takes a few people angry that they didnt get there way or free animal as in this case . and in MY case Me and My deals dont care to or have time to sit there and put in good ratings cause we feel its a waste of time . the thousands of ads ive posted over years and people seeing tons of Albinocollector ads yet only see 2 bad guy posts and no good ratings I mean if they cant figure out that either there new to the fauna or probly cant figure out how to handle 1 of my turtles anyways !! Ive had few people over the years even tell me they seen the bad guy posts on here and didnt buy into it and bought from Me they had some sense to them it sounded lie then because guys liek JOHN posting lies Ive had few people call and lock in a deal then say there backing out cause what they read here wich I kindly say I understand . so thats why I dont like guys slandering when its not in there right to do so . and thats why Im not a FAN of BOI or Ratings cause its not exactly accurate its not like EBAY where ebay sends you a message to rate someone cause its a paypal transaction . so if FAUNA doesnt have that or similar its not fair to rate people I didnt know there was a rating till maybe a year ago and ive been on here years .

Keith, whether readers on the BOI feel someone is telling the truth or lying is up to them to decide. They can decide on the information provided, or how well they know those who vouch for one party or the other, or in any number of ways.
I certainly think that it makes good sense to be careful and ask a lot of questions if one sees a seller with a string of negative reviews from different people.
