In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Please, go ahead and ban me if you'd like. At the end of the day, it's an internet forum, for crying out loud! Go play with your snakes and get off the computer for a while.

This is very typical, predictable behavior at this point. You've been caught, so you'd be happy to 'martyr' yourself. Nice little jab at the end there, too.

At the end of the day, your little charade was an epic fail; no point whatsoever was made and YOU (and your boyfriend?) were the one(s) sitting on the computer at this internet forum wasting time & breaking rules.

Seems like you should be the one to step away.

Point me to instructions on how to close my account and I will gladly do so.

Actually, I didn't do it. My boyfriend did. I thought he made a good point, though, and that it was funny. Please, go ahead and ban me if you'd like. At the end of the day, it's an internet forum, for crying out loud! Go play with your snakes and get off the computer for a while.

This reminds me of the time I had Manti Te'o over, and his girlfriends used my account to order Ugg boots for my dog (yes, 2 pairs!) Imagine me on the phone trying to explain that one to Zappos! Granted, Rugby looked great in those boots.

Surely if you are clever enough to create a bogus account and then brag about how easy it was to do so, then surely you can figure out how to close your account.
After all, it ain't rocket science. :)

Sucks to get busted so quickly, I'm sure.

And as is the policy of this forum, when someone loses control over their registered account here, that account gets banned. The rule here is one account per person, and one person per account. The fact that your boyfriend obviously has access to your account shows that you have without a doubt lost control of your account. Which means that we can no longer be assured that any posts made under this account have actually been made by Paige Betancur.

Rich, was the account made while she was logged in as herself? I ask because I used to have a roommate that shared my computer when I first found faunaclassifieds. While he never had access to my account, there certainly wasn't anything keeping him from registering an account of his own, which would have come back with the same IP as mine.

If my wife were to register a username now, it would come back to my IP as well. If she wanted to post, and she couldn't use my account, and couldn't register another with my IP...are we just limited to one account per household?

I don't believe accounts are restricted to only a single IP per household.

Accounts are restricted to one person/one account. Multiple members of a household may also have accounts as long as they are separate accounts and (in the case of the BOI) factual names are registered. Your wife could certainly create her own separate account.

That is the way Rich's posts sounds though. That is why I asked. He said that it was obvious that the boyfriend had access to Paige's account, but it was 2 accounts with the same IP.

Boyfriend had zip to do with. She quoted me in her first post as Steve Miles. Should have been first clue. She can't stand me. Little does she know, to know me is to love me. I will truly miss her.

I believe I am reasonable about such things. And yes it is not at all unusual for multiple people in the same household to share the same IP. But in this case, it was admitted that the account was fraudulent, and to be perfectly honest, I'm not sold on the claim that it was her boyfriend that did it.

I audit all new registrations unless there is a situation where I just cannot. If a new account appears suspicious, it may be blocked outright, or else flagged to keep a close eye on to see what develops. There is more that goes on in the background here the likely most people realize. And not just by my own efforts.

I think you need to be the head of the DOD, just saying!
