In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Arizona Exotics --- Payson, Az.

I have followed this thread since it started, but I had no intention of posting, because lets face it, I couldnt live further away if I tried, so I was never going to be a customer of this store.

But, after this thread, I wouldnt step foot in there even if I lived next door. Gabriel said it best, if Shannon had come on here offering solutions instead of excuses, things would have gone differently. Instead he came out of the gate, guns blazing, saying the animal didnt need water.

Sabrina, I dont see a problem with people posting Yelp reviews based on this thread. I dont need to sit on a Westboro church service to know they are bad people.

Tom, I can tell you have a thick skin and that the comments from Shannons friends wont deter you from exposing other substandard shops. Kuddos to you for being the voice of these animals.

For some, they will keep harping on you for only taking one picture and not having more evidence, for the rest of us, one picture was more than enough.

I can't change that you don't see a problem, but it is still against Yelp's guidelines to write a review that is not from personal experience.

Shannon and his bunch of groupies keep repeating them selves over and over about how clean the store is.

Lets not forget the uncared for dehydrated and dying collard lizard displayed in the store.

Yes indeed a picture says a thousand words.

Tom and his groupies keep repeating a single picture... ;)

Sabrina, I am remaining neutral trying to not take sides here.but that pic of a collard on deaths doorstep is all I needed to see to make me never want to do business with that pet store.

I believe it was euthanized only after the pic was posted and it became a liability.

I think the "Shannon and his groupies" comment seems to disprove that, but...

I apologize for assuming if you truly do mean that, though the post still has merit.

From what I have read, it seems the original plan was to euthanize the collard the day it was received. I believe, in good faith, that they did not euthanize it solely because it was a liability. To each his own.

1,000 words vs 12,000 words
Simplified
1 vs 12
One side seems to have much more proof to back up their claims.
:shrug01:

Ed, no one is arguing about the shape of the collard, it is bad, was bad, was bad when it was dropped off. the animal was already in renal failure.

again liquids were attempted to be administered, carnivore care was also given, both of these did not stay down. at which point the lizard had only been in the stores care for a few days by the time tom came in. had food been added i.e typically crickets , the lizard would have become food.

you should know just as well that an animal in that state will not drink from standing water, will not eat. everything has to be done by hand.

again something that tom can't prove was or wasn't being done, rather than speaking to someone about the lizard, snapped a pic and left. fine take the pic, but anyone who genuinely cared, would have at least said something about said animal.

yes it was euthanised on the Thursday after tom made his post, as attempting to hydrate and save the collard were null to begin with.

the biggest problem here is that tom has continually libeled his ass off in this entire thread.

make statements like:
everything in the store is dilapidated and in = shape of the collard, again photos prove this not the case.

enclosures are filhty, again this is not the case was never the case.

he even said there was mites in the store , again not the case.
he claimed that bowls were empty.. 1 picture of 1 bowl does not mean 30.
he claimed the fish tanks for algae covered and filthy, again not the case.
he also accused the store of selling natives which is so far from the truth.
he claimed the store was filthy.
he claimed shannon threatend his life (i don't think the police would allow you to press charges back for a false report if they thought this were the case)

shannon, danielle and Emily acknowledged the lizards shape and said straight up it shouldn't have been out for the public, in fact yes it should have been euthanized they attempted to give the animal a chance , an attempt that probably shouldn't have been made.

you can keep reposting a single image, still doesn't prove the outward condition of the store. or toms statement, it is still one photo and the only thing that it shows is that yes a lizard was being housed in a store in bad shape.

he cannot prove anything else with some additional photos, it's all either hearsay or libel.

that is what has people arguing about, the status of the collard has already been addressed in the 20+ pages of toms trolling.

James, you and Shannon keep assuming that the only thing that has people outraged in this thread is one picture of one lizard. You cant even imagine that it would have anything to do with the arrogant responses from you and Shannon. You are both doing more damage to the shop then that one picture that Tom snapped.

so, keep digging.

My wife and I walked in there about 3 years ago and cages were multiple poops worth of dirty. watering had not happened for most. all of the water bowls had "refill" rings and no one was working on anything. I DID mention the dehydrated conditions of the water bowls.. the woman told my wife and I the owner was on vacation and they were "just baby sitting" the store. At that time they had some "rescued" water dragons that were emaciated and dehydrated.

I think a lot of effort is going into convincing readers that there was never a problem. Politicians and corporations do this routinely when they get caught.
I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to realize that pictures posted after such an incident are going to be true representations... of a cleaned up situation.

You forgot the part where he said, "I passed the poor conditons off as a friend or relative not doing what they were suppose to be doing." Both times someone has quoted Brian, that part was left out.

Lucille, are the cages I shared dirty? In the past few times I have visited they looked just as clean as I saw them Saturday... even when I had visited approximately two years ago. I have been to the store several times in the past and I have always been impressed. Does this mean nothing?

arrogance is what tom did, came in here posted one image with nothing to back up all his other claims.

ran into a crowded building screaming bomb... and all he had was a picture of a digital clock.

he has repeatedly posted what he thinks not ever what was fact, there was a time when fauna would have actually asked for additional proof of toms claims before condeming the person being run though a smear campaign.

that is arrogance on Toms part thinking he could come in here with just that and hope his post count would be enough to get everyone to bandwagon.

I fill the small water dish for the greek tortoises every morning, it still has water in the mornings. This IS outdoor in Mesa,az.

Well, since I'm the owner and have never had a vacation... I know you are lying completely. Sorry, nice try...

Again, you ignore the fact that we have proven there wasn't an issue... You just cannot let go of your assumtions.

What is also going on here is a process made famous by a certain Bad Guy auctioneer thread, where good points and observations are immediately and intentionally (and deeply) buried by the party described in the thread and his supporters, so that they are less likely to be read.

Lucille, honestly this sounds exactly what Tom and his buddies were doing when myself and others posted photos of the store... unless you are referring to them with this post.
