In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Alyy White Spindown Reptiles

When someone asks for a sale price and the other parties agrees to pay that price and says I'll take them, call me for payment. Then leads you around by multiple emails that's no way to do business! She will be made aware

A sale is not a sale unless the seller has been paid.

As frustrating as it is the seller has the right to sell to whoever they want to.

What I'm seeing from the emails is that around 30 minutes after the discussion of shipping (during which she did NOT confirm the sale, only give you a shipping quote) she informed you she was looking at other offers.

Then you got butthurt that she was doing so, protested that you were giving her what she asked money wise (as if that's all that matters), and started this post.

I'm not going to be buying from Tballs if this is how they conduct business, and will tell others not to do so. If they need proof, I'll direct them to this thread. See how starting a Bad Guy thread without anything to back you up harms YOUR business and not Alyy's?

You never asked me what knowledge I had or caging or anything about care! You stated you needed to raise as much money as you could for your special needs animals! As soon as I'm at my computer I will post ALL the emails! You are now trying to act like I was unfit to care for the animals when it was all based on getting more money! Let's not make this out to be what it's not!!

Frustration was what I was trying to avoid, by immediately making him aware I had received another offer. I was still trying to decided which would be the best home.

Maybe it was unwise of me as the seller to make them aware of other offers, but I was trying to be as honest, upfront, and transparent about everything as possible.

She said she was investigating another offer and would keep you updated. It's likely she was looking at this person due to experience. Immediately acting butthurt following her informing you she was looking at another home cut you out of the running.

I don't see anywhere that Alyy states you are an unfit home for her animals. However, it would seem that she received an offer from someone she felt confident WAS a good home for them. The two are not mutually exclusive. I read the emails she posted, and it did not say "raise as much money as she could" - it said simply that she needed money to care for the special needs animals. You are reading WAY too much into a purchase inquiry that did not end the way YOU wanted. :shrug01:

Alyy - as bummed as I would be if I did not get the animals I was interested in, I would respect the honest and quick reply letting me know that you were entertaining another buyer. Maybe I just have thicker skin?

Ok, this is just getting sad! I don't need this drama. Last response to you Tballs, because I have faith anyone who sees this thread will be smart enough to see the truth of what happened. I can't believe this terrible behavior.

I have never said that, or hinted at it. I simply had a better connection to the other buyer. You could have been a great home, say... an 8 or 9...and the other guy was a 10. Both great, but one was more of a better fit for US.

Not once have I had a bad response to my business! Good luck on that!

Tballs - I never even knew of you or your business before this thread, but I would be unlikely to respond to any of your emails or animal inquiries, in the off chance that you felt "let on" by emailing your interest. This post reflects negatively on YOU, not Alyy.

If that was the case, how come no husbandry concerns were ever brought up???? Not one question was asked or expressed about the care of the lizards!!! Because it's about money! Not the care! Which is fine but don't act like you were trying to find the best home! This situation didn't have to be! When I said I would give you the $650 you asked for, you should've stated I'm holding out for higher offers! Bottom line! This was at no point a concern of animal well being, just a bid war! Period

So if it was just about money why did she accept a LOWER OFFER OF MONEY? That argument makes no sense honey.

I can honestly say I have no clue who she chose to make the sale to, but here's a hypothesis of how things happened. She received a message from you, and was planning to TALK TO YOU OVER THE PHONE about the care you could provide the blueys. In the meantime, someone she knew (either in person or through the internet) expressed interest, and it was someone she trusted implicitly. That person WOULD get priority in my book, especially since no contract or agreement had yet been reached with you.

Again, had she taken a deposit, or agreed and taken the full funds, you may have a case.

Because I was talking to several people and it hadn't come up yet! I do not jump to assumptions...and I like to see how people react to me and get a read on THAT before I ask you about husbandry or experience. Clearly my gut was RIGHT!

You mentioned talking on the phone, I was going to ask you those questions then, before we talked about payment methods or anything else. I like to talk to people over the phone instead of in writing because you can't hear their voice.

Not sure why this has ruined *your* night, to the point where you would come here and try and besmirch my name. I certainly wouldn't do that to you! Please move on.

Have a nice night Terry.

To everyone else, please enjoy your popcorn :)

AGAIN NOT AN AUCTION. I don't DO auctions, nor do I participate in them. Not with live animals.

If all I cared about was money, I wouldn't have rescued a geriatric bulldog, a blind 17 year old corn snake, an aggressively bitey kingsnake, a severely neuro-damaged red tail, and more to come over the next two months! What I do is not a rescue...because that entails rehoming. EVERY single one of these animals comes to me FOR LIFE.

Terry, you are getting so excited (and combative) over the seller's right to sell to whomever she wishes

-before a full agreement is reached and money is transferred-

that I might start getting concerned if you so much as asked me what time it was.

I believe she has the right to sell to whom she chooses at what price she chooses! I also believe I should've been notified that she was still taking offers even though I was paying what she asked for!! Then nobody's time is wasted! That was and is my issue!

She does not have any obligation to tell you she is talking to other parties who want them just like you do. You are not owed everything she knows.

You were willing to pay what she asked. She had not yet agreed to accept your payment. She had also not yet received your payment. It takes all three of these aspects in combination to have the sale occur. It then takes delivery of the agreed upon animals in advertised condition (and within a mutually acceptable period of time) for the transaction to be complete and wholly satisfactory.

Not all of the above aspects occurred. You lost out. It happens. We do not win them all. One option is to take the missed opportunity with grace. Another is to make an unwarranted "bad guy" BOI thread about it.

Consider this.

You are upset in essence because you lost the opportunity. Had you won the opportunity, another party would have had to lose out on that very same opportunity. Why you? Why not you?

Valid points were made by Nickolas. I'm wrong for posting this, I should've calmed down before reacting! There was no wrong done by alyy. I wish I would've known about the considering bids, she has no obligation to me. That's not how I conduct business but everyone has a right to their own. Alyy did give a apology, I should've just accepted it and let it go. Sometimes we have bad days, today's mine! I do apologize for making this post I will remove it if I can.

Ah ah. There is NO REMOVING THINGS FROM THE BOI. So your shame is here for all to see....it's shameful the admins had to step in to slap your s**t.
