Bad experience with Underground reptiles
Hi Samantha,
Here are the two emails I received from them

Kevin,
Thanks for letting us know. We placed the heat packs under the styro so she
wouldn't overheat in shipping. Spray her down very well and she should eat
for you right off the bat. Remember they are best kept at moderate temps
but moist (don't get her too hot).
Enjoy!

Kevin,
She's probably dehydrated from the shipping and being in that open air cage.
Get a large plastic tub, drill numerous holes in the top of the lid, a few
holes in the bottom of the container. Place a few branches in the container
then place the container under a faucet and let the water run over the
container for at least an hour (room temp water, not warm not cold). That
will help "super" hydrate that animal. They all were eating and drinking
fine when we had them. She should come around with a round or two in the
"rain chamber".
Please keep us posted.

The rest of the communications were via phone line. On the phone I was getting the same type of responses I have seen here from other buyers. Denials, deflecting and trying to blame me, with feeble, meaningless suggestions to make good on the sale.
To answer your question about the money. It is obviously too late now. At the time, being 1300 miles away, I did not believe I had any choice unless I went to Florida and filed a claim against him there. I had been a police officer for 30 years and dealt with plenty of people who never took any responsibility for the actions. They could always convince themselves that it was somebody's else's fault.
SO now he is a pastor?
Here are a couple of Google searches I just did on him:
An interview with Rian Gittman, pastor, brown belt in jiu jitsu, and MMA coach:
“The Bible says that the gates of hell shall not prevail, the righteous taketh by violence. Prayer is violent. Christianity is violent. There’s nothing wrong with subduing your enemy. … Christ himself had to commit violence.” Rian Gittman.
He was interviewed by this guy, Doug Merlino ,who had this quote at the beginning of the article on the interview:
Doug Merlino :
"Win if you can, lose if you must, always cheat, and if you have to leave the ring, leave tearing it down." - Sputnik Monroe
This is the type of guy he associates with?
You have seen the research other members have done regarding his brushes with the law and less than ethical behavior.
If it walk like a duck and talks like a duck...........you can call it a pastor, but it is still a duck.
