In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

As you stated, I am experienced. Those pictures of the geckos weren't right out of the box (some were, not all). They were still dull and sickly looking. What about the weights? I'm basing how they look by overall body and not just color. Being cold has nothing to do with how they look in those pictures.

Also, what about the packaging concerns?

You can't blame the BOI for this situation. I'm happy when things are out in the open like this. I did not say that you were selling sick animals on purpose, but more than one person has now shown that they have received animals that were not healthy or as described. You came on getting defensive and trying to pass the blame. That's not ok.

Are you having your animals tested?

I don't like BOI's because she's upset, only because she assumed I used her name as far as telling someone else about her being at fault about receiving ill geckos. Totally false.

I did package the geckos in a box without lining and placed stuffing so that they do not move around too much at all in the box, but they made it just fine. I did forget to put perishable on the box and that was my mistake.

As for the weights. What is your exact question? The weight of the geckos I just posted is what you are asking about?

Lucky that they made the trip without incident.
No matter what, and no matter the time of year, it is wrong to ship without insulation panels.
Not only for insulation but it also adds to the strength of the box.

By weight, I meant that those geckos are way skinnier than they look in your pictures. How did they lose so much so quickly?

The packaging is definitely an issue. Being around this long, you know that. The lining isn't just about keeping the geckos stable, but keeping the temps inside safe. It also provides protection incase the box gets crushed.

I too, have pictures of them right after i took them out of the deli cups. I also have video of the unboxing, and then a follow-up with my obvious concerns. The boxing was minimal. There was paper folded on the top and side as filler, along with the 4 deli cups and the container of that multivitamin.

Request it marked? She may have done that, but again, yours was an accident for not putting the perishable on yours. At this point you are just upset and keep wanting to get more and more people on your side. I gave you a 75% refund on the gecko that is now eating. Also, then and now I had apologized for the fact that your geckos arrived with parasites 30 days after without more than just wanting to see the test first before I gave a refund. So for you to still be arguing this, it seems you just want a following. Yes I messed up, again, I MESSED UP, but again with all my customers I try and fix the issue. The box was packaged securely, even though it may not have been to your liking, but they were packaged very securely. I answered everyones questions, but are you all satisfied? I guess that is for you to decide, but I do know, no one is arguing my validation of me being a "MILITARY VETERAN" now, I guess that means, even though we may have an entire family of veterans, we don't always know what it means to be a veteran. I guess sometimes, we just make mistakes, as I did with the customers that had received geckos with parasites. If the rest of my customers want to continue to argue this, my mailbox is always open on facebook. Ask Nikki, ask Kayla, and whoever else that feels I cheated them if I blocked them, ignored them, or did not try to find a solution to fix the problem. I am just here to help make my customers happy, as well as continue to run a business, but you win some, and you lose some, and I seem to have loss this battle, but thank you. I will now properly revamp, and reorganize my business, as well as the purchasing rules of reptiles. Thank you all for you input. Good night.

Without seeing a test? The worms were visible in her crap. And my irritation on the veteran thing is that it has nothing to do with your reptile care. She said inhumanE, not inhuman. So just because you may have seen some stuff, doesnt make that stuff relevant to your reptiles, and it made me question how youd been selling reptiles for 10 years if you were otherwise occupied.
She requested her box be marked because accident or not, its a safety issue and she wanted to make sure the accident didnt happen again.

Ive learned a lot from this experience as well. And the shit talking i was referring to was not whether i was talking about an unhealthy gecko and not a "healthy" one (that i had to make that way)... i believe you know good and well what im talking about. Im not as "stupid" as you think.
I dont care about a following. Like i said, i wasnt out to destroy anyone, but Im not going to be intimidated or pushed over and talked into the ground either. I really hope you do take care of your issues there and get all of your animals squared away. They deserve that, whether theres 5-10, or hundreds.

I want to post my videos, but have no clue if I can. There are two. Also, my posting the box photos were to show how mine arrived. The one and only other leopard gecko I had shipped came in a styro lined box, labeled with the species and that there was a live animal IN the box. I think I still have that box somewhere. Its the correct way to ship. Saying its "perishable " means JACK to the shipping company. FedEx isn't as bad as the UPS about the treatment of the boxes. The way this driver handle MY box when she gave it to me was sideways, not upright...she just kinda shoved it at me...I do a lot of shipping. I NEVER just put paper to brace my items. I wrap, line, use packing peanuts... I do everything that is within my power to secure that item IN that box. I KNOW how the boxed are treated.

Is there a way that I can post my vids in here?

Kayla, I wasn't talking about Nikki needing proof, I was talking about you needing proof. Also Nikki, it isn't my fault fedex handed you the box that way. You act like I called up fedex and said, "Hey fedex do you mind handing the box to the customer sideways so I can upset her and have her an unhappy customer" There was a big arrow on yours saying this way up. Well I argued my side of the story. I hope the best to both of you.

Did I SAY anything about that? I said that FedEx handle their boxes better then the other companies. I have had this experience. NOT having items as secure as they NEED to be, OR it labeled the way it SHOULD have been, its what it issue is. I stated my concern before. I asked about how you ship. I pointed out AND sent the photos Kayla had TO YOU. I ASKED. Shall I post what you said to me in screen shot about your shipping methods? Im going to post all of it anyway.

I don't even CARE how you ship. I CARE about my animals. ALL of this stuff...this BS that we have had to deal with AFTER the fact. These ARE SICK geckos...THIS is what I care about. These geckos came to us underweight, and at the least, 2 of the 4 that I GOT, have been worm-treated by me. One has had a crypto test sent out because, at his size, he should be well into the 40+ gram range, AND not skinny and sickly -looking. I have only HAD them just over a week. I couldn't let them settle or even have time to not have me in their faces to relax. Im looking for poop to get tested, or watching to see if they are drinking. For the last week, its all I do to make sure they get healthy, are comfortable, and getting the things they need to got to that point.

I believe she is saying that Fed-Ex didn't have a properly labeled box to know anything was alive in there.

I know you know the proper way to ship. Styrofoam lined box. The outside should be labeled "Eublepharis Macularius" "2 leopard geckos" "Live Harmless Reptile".

On the topic of shipping:

I recently received a crested gecko from a well respected crested gecko breeder. When I picked up the package from the mail room soon after delivery, I saw it was being stored sideways. I felt bad for the poor little thing that I'd not come and gotten it sooner, but then I inspected the box while taking it back home. All four sides of the box, were labelled PERISHABLE, KEEP UPRIGHT. It was printed on the box so there was no way to "forget" to label it. There were also a couple air holes punched on the sides if I'm remembering correctly. When I opened the box I found an inner box of styrofoam, with such a tight fit that to get the top off I ended up sticking the very tip of my knife into the foam to lift it off. The gecko's deli cup was cushioned by packing peanuts. The kid was totally stressed out by the travel, but who wouldn't be after getting shook around and being kept up when it was bedtime?

Crested geckos live at temperatures much lower than leopard geckos. And temps during shipping were perfect for the crested gecko to exist at. But even so, the gecko was sealed in styrofoam. Because it wasn't for warmth alone. They knew the temps would be great here, because they checked them as well. It was also for support. The foam is sturdy, and the interlocking of the pieces of the inner styrofoam box creates sturdy walls to protect the gecko. Regardless of how the package gets turned, the package should be sturdy. Chaz, your lack of use of styrofoam is extremely concerning as even with the PERISHABLE labels on the side, accidents happen and Nikki's geckos could have been crushed or injured. Kayla's box was more likely to have that happen since her box was mislabeled! Styrofoam should have been used on both boxes because even with forgetting the PERISHABLE label, your customer could have still been reassured that the geckos were not in any danger and had that extra layer of protection if something were to happen. In addition to keeping them warm.
