This following few paragraphs will be posted in both threads, as it goes to both issues. This aspect goes to the heart of the matter. It has been mentioned earlier as well, but is buried, and worthy of reminding:

The issue of escapes began as a thread that I posted on Chameleon Central US (CC), a FB forum, a little over a month ago. It was put there as there was much info to share, and discuss, that went right to the natural husbandry of panther chameleons, in the wilds of Central Florida, even if only a temporary existence. It was very much new info, as our climate etc. varies significanlty from their range in Madagascar, and yet we were loaded with observations.

Many people were positively engaged in the discussion. Over 100 members put "likes" on the introduction. But a group of about six folks, mostly CGW members, continually interjected every effort to foul and hijack the thread. Led by Joshua Illincek. Robert Nichols is banned from CC. The thread was deleted due to their nonsense. They were not there to learn, or even engage concerns responsibly.

After a warning, the thread was started again. Same result. Same folks. Thread deleted. Unable to restrain themselves, their angst to trash others spilled into other threads at CC. Some CGW folks were banned from CC.
Josh and his ilk could have registered their complaints with FWC, which they did, if that was their true concern. But it was not, as demonstrated by their actions in flash-mobbing the discussions. More than twice.

What we observed will get a full airing soon, when I have time again, in other chameleon venues. For those who enjoy the hobby, and can engage in adult discussion.

To anyone reading, refer to posts 369 to 388. A new administrator, Shauna Garcia, has been appointed and has demonstrated her ability to keep her composure while dealing with insulting malcontents.

I'd say that's significant proof right there CGW is headed in the right direction.

I'd say that's significant proof right there CGW is headed in the right direction.

Meanwhile, the evidence offered by Shauna is that Robert Nichols was told to "tone it down" in April. While a month after that the very Admin at CGW were making posts that were not "toned down". And a few of Rob's post-April posts are already displayed earlier in this thread.

Folks, this thread was bombed by sock-puppets early on, and the other thread has been too. Look up the term if you do not understand. This is representative of the CGW Admin and other folks as we have pointed out from the beginning. Pretenders. Phonies.

We will be assembling a list of those specific miscreants. Who are documented to lack the character worthy of the trust of anyone looking for reliable folks in the hobby.

I will be dedicating a page in my website to such. I have noted the dirt-bags in the business there before. See the bottom of my home page. Time to do it again. I will link it all to here for those with the time to look themselves.

Meanwhile, I have guests in for the weekend, so won't be posting. Lots to post next week. Peeling back the curtain on these entities. Thanks to all who have provided support. Couldn't expose all this without your help.

Whoever he is, he has managed to hack my account. Those screenshots obviously came in logged in as me, but I am certain that I have not taken those screenshots let alone sent them to another individual.

Whoever has hacked my account has gone great lengths in an attempt to make Robert Nichols look bad.

Can you explain the dichotomy between two statements? If you don't support Rob, then why did you make the statement that someone has attempted to make Rob look bad when he was doing a good job of it himself (not that Jim has made himself look good)?

I think one of the greatest take-aways from the posts that "Jack of Hearts" in posts 273-275 made is that there can be significant enough variation within a locality of panther chameleons that claims of being able to be 100% on a visual identification have to be looked at as very questionable.

I have no connection to any of the people involved in this thread, but IMO, Mr Nichols needs some help..How many accounts did you create just to try and make yourself look good in this thread? I counted 4. Any reputable, trustworthy, innocent person would only need their own words and actions to do so. Making fake accounts only makes you look worse.

Mr Flaherty, I understand your passion and emotion in this thread, as you are trying to stop Mr. Nichols's actions and behaviors from happening to you and others, but reading through this thread and seeing your posts, I feel as though you are taking this too far. Just because someone might not agree with you does not mean you can cram your evidence down their throat.

This is a very easy and simple problem to solve. It is in no way rocket science.
Jim, post your evidence and thoughts, along with anyone else that has had the same experience with Robert Nichols. People are going to have and make their own opinions on the situation, and you can not control that. And the more you try to make them believe you the more you are going to seem like Mr Nichols.

We have already seen what he will do when you call him out. As I mentioned before, creating the fake accounts is all I needed to see to make a decision. He will wreck his own train when you post factual evidence against him. And that is all the BOI is for. Just post facts and evidence that you can provide visually for all to see and decide on their own.

As for the other admin on the FB group that are involved or are enabling the behavior, I believe they are already informed of this thread, but if not send them a link and tell them their input is appreciated. If they come over and talk good, if not you have your answer. You already said in one of your posts that "their silence is deafening"

So, all that you can do has been done. There is really nothing more to do. Inform the members of the FB group about this thread, they will make their own decision and life will go on. If you have a personal beef with each other, then that is between the two you. The BOI doesn't need to know about your dirty laundry drying out.

Being in business as long as you have, you should know by now that trying to argue with a customer or potential customer about why they should not buy from a big box pet store or fellow breeder for reasons x, y, and z is a pointless argument and only makes you look bad, so why are you doing that here with this FB group?

This is just my opinion though, and I may be the only one that feels this way about it. So do what you must but to save your own self Jim, just let it go. There is already a massive amount of evidence in your favor, along with the actions of Mr Nichols in this thread, so my advice to you is to just focus the energy you are putting into this thread into your chams and not worry about this thread anymore.

Well, can you prove that Jim is "mentally ill" and "wears depends diapers"? If you can't prove beyond reasonable doubt that he does, and your statements thereby can be construed as being untruthful with intent to harm his reputation and business, then that is a pretty clear cut case of libel. And if he is so inclined, yes, in my opinion you can get into some serious trouble over your statements via a defamation of character lawsuit.

Yes, I do think hacking an account is excessive, especially when any member of CGW can look up the same post WITHOUT going through all that trouble.

And yes, I am also assuming that same person was looking for information like private messages that suggests what I have presented and stated here is false.

Yeah, ya got me, mr. technical wizard renaissance man. I'm all jealous of your technical accomplishments and ease of manipulation of all the latest high tech at your fingertips. Oh wait, tell me, what exactly HAVE you done on the internet with this "4k" claims you name drop comparing this site to something? I'd like to see this 4k capable website you are apparently touting. As best I can tell, you can't even type with more than two fingers, so I'll bet website programming is a real tedious and painful experience for you. And with the number of words spelled incorrectly in your posts and garbled sentence structure, programming syntax errors probably really keep you busy debugging your coding.
