    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Mike Matson of Mike's Phat Frog is a scammer !!

Here he goes saying what virtually every crook on BOI has threatened: legal action! I am the "Davey" he is speaking of. Jon and Brenda are other members of the same Facebook who have called him out for his terrible treatment of frogs.
It's pretty creepy of him to be so interested in getting my home address. I don't even mention him except for on here anymore, yet he seems to be extremely interested in me.

Yet, for some strange reason he still has followers?

Another one of his signature moves. Has anyone yet to see and/or hear anything from his supposed attorney? Interesting that someone who cannot afford to pay his debts has the money to afford a lawyer...
 
Another thing is that he has been ILLEGALLY selling Colorado River Toads Incilius alvarius in California. This is classified as an endangered species in California and is therefore highly illegal to possess there, much less sell. He claims these are CB but considering it takes about 2 years for this species to reach 4" I am calling BS.

One more thing, I must correct myself on the above account. I cannot find anything concrete saying they are illegal in California, but have heard it many times. They may or may not be.

Just getting in on this thread I my self have never done business with mike I have heard some bad stuff about him that's why I never bought anything now I'm glad I never did nor will good luck Rick I guess you just need to take it as a loss and tread on
 
Okay everybody, this Mike Matson thing has gone too far. In light of recent events, Mike, I am regretful of the actions that were against you, they were intended with the best intentions in mind, and I do apologize for my part in the actions that have upset you in anyway. I care about the wellbeing of frogs everywhere. I have not purchased from you and do not have personal experience with your frogs. I am sure that there are plenty of people on here who would be happy to share their personal opinions with dealing with you and your frogs.

If you feel like you've taken it too far , get off the thread.:shrug01: Don't attempt to derail this thread because it's not going too far. If I can help even people who decide to support this scumbag by buying one frog from him they need to realize that he is a thief and sending out sick animals to some people and just ripping other people off.

Mike is trash and I will continue to update this thread until he grows a pair of :censored: and pays what he owes. If you don't have anything to add then don't , but don't attempt to get people to feel sorry for this trash in our industry.
 
Herpguy11's post is pointless. If you have not dealt with Mike, why bother trying to make people feel sorry for him. Find my posts about dealing with him. I have plenty of old correspondence between Mike, Myself and Mike's old girlfriend that will back up what is being said about Mike being a common criminal. Mike has posted under multiple fake names on Fauna. Every time he does someone sniffs him out. How he is still in the animal business is hard to believe. It is not if Mike will cheat you, but when because it will happen.

Are you saying all this because he threatened to sue you in post 424?

If you do not want to stand behind your words or have reconsidered them for whatever reason that is one thing, but to try to corral everyone else on this thread and make them stand down, it's not gonna happen.

What recent events are you referring to?
Why the reversal?
Clearly, Mike has not shown himself to be an upstanding individual.

I have done a couple purchases from Mike recently. I had some issues with the animals in a shipment that I got this week, but that really does not even manner, I told him repeatedly that I did not even want anything from him but from the go his attitude was just horrible. He was insulting, insisted it had to be my fault and he could not ever be wrong. At this point I laughed it off that I was too stupid to just move on and bought from him against my better judgement. I then told him not to contact me anymore, twice. He just can't help himself. He just kept going. So I blocked him. So then he posts slanderous posts on my business page. This guy is just a train wreck. Avoid him. It is not worth the time, aggravation or garbage to deal with him. He did not send food and animals he promised and when I brought that up he just didn't care. This is just a really terrible guy to deal with.
 
Being the class act that he is Mike is now harrassing me. I had to block him from 3 pages. He has posted over a dozen posts on my business page after I told him 3 times to not contact me again. If he ever contacts me again in any way I am going to be filing harrassment charges against him. This is how great he is at customer service.
 
That's good that you worked things out I guess, but the fact that his online customer service is so bad is only going to hurt him in the long run. Did you see this thread before you decided to buy from him, or after?
 
Evan, if you and Mike are now good friends, maybe you can get back my $500.00 I paid him for a female leopard tortoise. When he sold me the tortoise, he used a fake account, under his then girlfriend's name (Francine) to hide his identity. If you look at my previous posts, When I caught up with him, he ran away like an escaped feeder rat to his waiting getaway car. He is truly a class act.
