In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Ripped off by Lisa Apramian in San Diego

Yikes! That is not how to conduct business.
After viewing her Linkedin, she sounds like a total fraud. I wonder how many other people she has scammed over the years?

Being called "Dr." and having her license revoked are two separate things. The doctorate is an educational achievement that really can't be taken away although a school MIGHT be able to revoke it in extreme circumstance, but really doubtful. She can be a doctor of psychology while not having licensure. Licensure is something that many professions have to go through, just like a contractor's license or a teaching license. You have to pay some fees, pass a test, and undergo a couple yrs of supervision to become fully licensed as a therapist. If you screw up, they very much can and will yank that out from under you.

If I were to guess, based on her writing ability and seriously odd beliefs about her reptiles, she probably was a therapist and got her "doctorate" from some bs new age school if she has one at all.

Looks like she is taking down all her webpages and trying to hide her info.

Very true, I totally forgot that you can have a doctorate and not actually practice whatever your degree is in.

I think you're pretty spot on as far as the last point, lol.

Now when you just simply google her name this pops up on the front page. Wonder how she feels about it.

Probably would have been worth giving the OP his $300 back to avoid all this!

If these alternative treatments help people, I guess that's great. Whatever floats your boat, right? But all the healing is kind of at odds with taking somebody's money and the things she posted in this thread. Maybe she should channel that holistic spirit into gaining empathy with the guy she took $300 from.

Guys, her snake is her teacher and she lost her license because of a sexual relationship with an inmate. I've worked as a therapist in the prison system. I've seen the phenomenon of professional women entering into relationships with current inmates. It's not something healthy undamaged people do. I suggest that you take any legal measures necessary but don't expect a lot of rational adult responses from your seller.

In post 6 Lisa says there might be 5-10 mites on the snake. By post 25, that had morphed into moth eggs in the lights. Not even a plausible lie, but if she is still trying to sell snakes she might not want potential customers to hear about a mite problem.

Check out posts 25 and 30. See how easily she denigrates the people involved. I think she has had plenty of experience.

Maybe the snake whisper biz isn't doing so well, and maybe she doesn't have $300 to refund Robert Seib, or even have the $ to send the snake. Or maybe the little mites took her sex coaching lessons to heart and have multiplied to the point where she can't send the snake out. All speculation, but her given excuses are not plausible.

Kathy, I am just finding this now. Are you kidding me??? You never had to cancel your check. I tore it up as promised. NO ONE RIPPED YOU OFF. So why are you making a big deal out of this. I gave you my word the check was tore up and you went ahead anyway and paid $28. And the snake did not have mites. I said it may be mites when we spoke by phone. I saw something in the cage and wasn't sure. We were changing out the old florescent lights and inside there, there were what we now know are moth eggs in the lighting. I was being extra cautious. Please stop acting like a victim and creating hysteria for nothing.

Reverse "psychology" doesn't work here. I see two victims here. You are not one of them. No "hysteria" was created here. Just awareness. Successful people in your field don't exhibit melodramatic behavior. Just sayin'.

Lisa Apramian

It might be her ad. After she stole the $300 from me I did a web search of her, but I learned that she is into all sorts of weird sexual things and I became really repulsed and disgusted, so I just quit and tried to put her out of my mind.

So, Lisa says she'll do what she wants, bye, and that's somehow supposed to be her defense.

Shame on this businesswoman.

Robert, I'm sorry if this was already asked, but have you notified your bank? I had one bank who could help in cases with check fraud as long as it was reported within three months, and another bank told me once the check clears, there's nothing they could do. Maybe see what your bank can do to help you, if anything.

Have you considered showing up at her place of business with a court marshal? Rules vary by state but you might want to look into your options here as far as physical limitations go.

Curtis,
Thanks for posting your transaction with Lisa!

If you would please, post proof of the shipment received today, example, photo of the box with the shipping document, and any texts or emails between you and her, in regards to your transaction.....

This would be proof positive, you're not just a friend giving her kudos, in this other wise, black mark on her "reputation"? (this thread)

Thanks!

In such a situation, that's generally where my mind goes, also. There is, however, some contextual support in the good doctor's profile visitor messages. So, assuming that this wasn't entirely premeditated for them to throw out there if/when the OP brought this situation to the public, we're left with the likelihood that the transaction actually happened.

It's one thing to chime in and report your own positive experience, but comments like the following always seem to find a way under my skin:

Knowing that someone else is getting screwed apparently means squat to certain kinds of people - as long as they get theirs. As many times as I see it on here, it still manages to piss me off a little.

You should check that snake real carefully for mites, hunny.

Robert,
Seeing how Lisa departed this thread, in a huff, stating the situation, with you, is a private matter ...
Has Lisa attempted any private contact, with you, in order to resolve the matter of the $300 or snake?

....

Thanks. I will check with my bank tomorrow. Tomorrow marks 3 months since she cashed my check!

San Diego is 600 miles away, so I won't be able to show up at her door.

Thank you for your ideas,
robert
