Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anyone getting any odd charges on their credit cards? I had put my CC info into Reptsters site before the shipping portal went down. I got a charge from "ITS AMERICA WASHINGTON DC" for $300.00 on 11-2. I can't for the life of me figure out what that is. It may end up being a legitimate charge, I'd like to think I'd remember that one though. Discover said it will take 30-60 days to get me an answer. Anyone else getting similiar charges?

There are come current hacks going on that are spoofing credit card numbers I believe so it may not be related to repster's site. I got hit last month for 3 foreign charges for internet gaming sites. I am VERY careful about what websites I use that card on so thankfully my bank was able to see that the charges looked suspicious enough to call me at work that day to verify if they were really legit or not. I hate having to replace a CC card that I need for my online payments of legit bills... having to redo all the payment info (& still waiting for the new card to arrive).... but nice to know I ain't gonna be responsible for those fraud charges.
 
Well, A couple of people have come forward on Reptster that they paid for services before FedEx was canceled. That when they went to ship the packages they were rejected because of reptsters account status. They then had to pay for services to ship again on their own. To date, David hasn't contacted them.

I don't know whose fault this whole fedex thing is. I would just like to be able to get my money back for the two shippments that I printed labels out for on the morning that the fedex account was apparently deleted. I went to fedex later that day to drop them off and the packages were refused. One shipment cost me $45.99 and the other was $48.49. Luckily, I have my own reptile approved account through fedex and was able to get my packages to my customers but it does kind of suck to pay to ship the same packages twice. Since then my calls have gone unanswered, and the voice mail is apparently full.

The next one.

I have the same issue and have left unanswered voicemails and sent numerous emails.

Unfortunately when it gets near the 30 day mark from the date of the charge I will have to file a fraudulent claim on my credit card to ensure I get reimbursed.

Can I also please be added to the list of people wanting reimbursed and wanting to be contacted immediately please.

Most credit cards give 30 or 60 days for you to file a fraudulent claim on a charge. My approach and suggestion is that if you do not see a credit on your statement before the 30 or 60 day window (mine is 30 days) then to file a fraud claim. (note, this is even if you have been told by repster that it is in process).

This is the only way to protect the customer 100% from having to pay the charge.

Any and all transactions, agreements, and guarantees are made between you and the shipping provider (UPS). What does that mean? Well, to put it bluntly Reptster.com is not responsible when FedEx or UPS screws up. We will work with you to resolve any problems that may arise when using the shipping services. Refunds will not be available until Reptster.com has received a refund from the shipping provider.

Credit card charges. There has been considerable confusion over credit card charges. Our credit card authorization company is Tekton Web and Tekton uses PayPal. When you use our shipping services, your bill may have one or all of these companies listed.

Please do not chargeback! Credit Card chargebacks threaten our ability to provide this service to the Reptile and Amphibian community. In all cases, the chargebacks we have received could have been avoided had the customer either called or sent us an email. In one case, a (former) customer had to lie to their credit card company in order to get the chargeback issued. If you have a question about a charge or if a mistake has resulted in a duplicate charge, please call us or email us. We have, in the past, and will continue to resolve most issues within 24 hours.

I find this hard to believe....In my case I never scanned in the package. Fed ex does not charge you anything unless the package is scanned in. Any fed ex rep or employee will tell you that and if you have an account with fed ex you can find out first hand. The reptster system is charging you and shouldn't just like the fed ex system doesn't. There is no money for reptster to refund from fed ex in this case....just reptster.

I like that they had time to put this informative update in the last 30 days but not enough time to refund inaccurate charges.

This is ridiculous!
 
Maybe now people will see that Reptster is not worth using since David does not follow thru on ANYTHING and is basically ripping off the people who used the service.

BTW David, WHERE are my refunds for the overcharges on shipments thru Repster!

I paid Repster for 5 pounds but Fed Ex billed you for 2 pounds on several shipments!

Now, what I find interesting in all of this is that this is COMPLETELY OPPOSITE of the stance Reptster took on the FedEx deal...yes, they said that you could always call FedEx to resolve issues if you wanted, but that they stood behind their service 110%, right? Why the sudden change? Why the need for Reptster to back out of their big customer service push? What happens if you DO have an issue with UPS now - does this statement from Reptster basically mean "sorry, you are screwed if you call us?"??? That's how it reads to me at least, and I doubt I am the only one...

Now, as far as the "no chargebacks" comment...why SHOULDN'T customers feel they can do a chargeback if Reptster is not fullfilling it's services? If Mr. Young had bad service, or didn't get what he felt he should have from a company, do you think he would WAIT on the company to fix things for an undetermined amount of time before taking it into his own hands? For some reason, I doubt it. But, he fully expects his customers to do so.

Personally, what I just read can be rephrased in a few simple sentences...

"Hi, we are Reptster.com, a flipper of shipping services has never had a legit complaint. People lie about how bad it is with us, it is all their fault things go bad, never ours, and we only fix things to shut people up. We don't stand behind our service, just sell you service to make ourselves money, and our guarantees mean nothing because we can change them to suit ourselves and our business whenever we please, no matter the result to our customers. We are the Dan Scolaro of the shipping world."

Was that wrong? :D

To date, David hasn't contacted them.
This doesn't suprise me in the least...Again as far as David knows my BP is still rotting away at the FedEx facility. What would've suprised me is if David acted like the businessman he pretends to be and " got going when the going got tough"...
A final note I have shipped FedEx numerous times since my initial problem and not had a single incident!
 
Don't hold your breath.

David does not keep his word, ignores his customers, and leaves his mods to deal with the mess he created.

This makes me laugh. Especially because I have called and emailed him multiple times with no response. His Mod did get back to me and has been helpful, but even he seems to have no contact with him at this point. Regardless, my dispute with my CC company was started on friday. Maybe if David actually returned calls or emails he could have avoided that.
 
Telling people not to chargebacks for what!? So he can waste more time to send back funds owed? Screw him. he should have been prepared for this in the first place. Dont take peoples money if you cant pay it back!
