I'd like to believe that was an isolated incident but I think that's a stretch. Rather its just another indiscretion by a person who has made so many that he can now be defined by them.

I just wanted to leave a final thought for those that may take the time to read.

The perpetrators, collaborators, bystanders, and victims are all involved in any given action. The bystander, however, is usually the hinge on which reaction swings towards a desired/undesired result. Ok Then, Jay has proved to you all amongst other people have that I worked at DFR. Im asking for a simple apology from nick in person or by phone. When that is done I want this post removed and forgotten! I know that Nick will not be the bigger man and apologize since he has been sending me threats on my phone over the past few days because of everything going on. Jay I really appreciate the kind words and I hope all is well with your collection and with your family, I saw some of the the stuff you got from Jon at (NWE) Sweet!! Hows breeding going?. Look, I did not intend for this post to became an all out war and get people banned because that is something I would never do. I have been talking to Bruce, the owner of tropical world. He has told me some things that Nick has said about me such as that "I am cruel to animals and abused them at his shop" Let me put this straight, I love animals and would never hurt them!! I am appalled that Nick would lie about that, that is not exeptable! I dont want to mean, but I've told you all this before, Ill say it again. When customers came and brought in reptile such as ball pythons and other reptiles, Nick would promise them a good home and then when the customers left, he would feed ball pythons to snapping turtles, which disgusted me! This is not a lie!! Everyone knows that I worked at DFR and I remember when jay and his son justin would come in right before closing and order their food and either me or jay would get the food for him/himself. Whatever, the fact is, is that I was their!!

Did I wear the DFR shirt: YES
DID I work in the back and get people food for their reptiles:YES
Did I work on the floor and sell people reptiles:YES
Did I mop the floors and sweep them in the back and front: YES
Did i sometimes work the register when the manager let me and when he was busy:YES
Did I ever steal from Nick and DFR: NEVER!
Did I do birthday parties for DFR: You bet ya I did!

So everyone please tell me; does is sound like I worked their and put my all in to DFR! I would even bring in products for the shop and lettuce for the tortoises and even run over to the other side of the shopping center to get Pizza for everyone! And all I am asking is for an apology!! So Nick I know your reading this and I know you have the ability to call me or reply to this, So please do so! and do us all a favor, Please do not make anymore videos of people you hate on youtube like you claim to want to do to me and other employees of DFR! I understand how you feel. Unfortunately, what gets posted here STAYS here and nothing gets deleted. It does not matter if the situation is resolved satisfactorily or not...all transactions and the information supporting and the opinions of the "bystanders" are here to stay.

That's one of the reasons for the rules for members using their full names and why it's important that every one tell the truth. Lies have a way of coming back to haunt people.

I am sorry that you had to learn the hard way that some people are down right unethical when it comes to dealing with others that they feel are "powerless." It was suggested that you were a VOLUNTEER. You still have not given any proof that you were supposed to be paid any certain amount.

Can you provide any proof that you were supposed to be paid?

Yes, we know that Nick lied about the fact saying that you never worked there and it doesn't look good for him right now..but, you would still need to show that you were expecting payment (any amount) and that it was agreed upon before hand or during the course of time.

You did not do anything wrong by posting here, you may have saved another teenager from being ripped off.

Your a kid so I'm not trying to be harsh on you. Let me ask you, what do you think you could have done to put a stop to that? If it disgusted you so much, why wouldn't you tell the very next customer bringing in a reptile exactly what was occurring and going to occur the moment they left that shop? Why wouldn't you look at Nick right in the eye and tell him to shove his job up his keester. You had a chance to make a difference and you rode it out for the money - at least that's the way it appears to me.

This happened the week the shop closed and I did share my views to him, that I didn't like it, and I would even take ball pythons that people came in and brought to me when nick wasn't their and set them up! When i told him that i was disgusted about what he did he said. "Please never tell me what I need to Do" Even one time he left a ball python in the tank and left it swimming right infront of the snapper i grabbed it when a customer came in and put it back. Plus Nick wasn't at the shop for the end of days for DFR! I hope you realize that I did try to help for my favorite reptile. Thank You!!

At least this episode may serve as a learning experience for SnakeBoy and any other youths who might find themselves in similar situations ............. before it becomes "shame on me".

Well, my kids have been in a similar situation when they were teens and I know know how they felt. They wanted to resolve the issues themselves (it's hard in that gray area between grown and child) they were also a bit ashamed because they didn't listen to me in the first place, but they finally did come to me.

I do not know what kind of relationship Josh has with his parents, I can only thank him for having the courage to post and brave public opinion and hope he does let his parents handle it. He did say that they were investigating getting a lawyer?

Not optimistic that SnakeBoy will get his apology. It would be my estimate that a lawyer, if one was actually contacted, told his folks that blood could not be gotten out of a turnip, if BFR was in any way incorporated. Or, if BFR was, then SnakeBoy would have to hope to find a way to "pierce the corporate veil" to get at Nick's current assets. That would cost additional money up front, take time, and might be hard to justify pursuing. BFR did go belly up. Employees are often burned when that happens, even with more credible companies. With the less credible ones ...... we have the current example.

Hey Josh it was a pleasure to talk with you privately last night. I must appologize but got to get one thing corrected. I have gotten numerous private emails from concerned individuals and the most upsetting was the character that was documented as being cruel to animals. I personally thought this was you and definitely did not understand this thru any conversations with Nick. It was my own mistaken identity. I am so glad you contacted me. You are an up and coming individual. In the one day that I made comments on here I quickly learned that things get taken out of context and it is a no win situation. I agree with you. I hope you and Nick can sit down, and work your problems out in a civil sensible manner. If I can help please feel free to call on me. Hope we can post a "truce" here before Christmas.

I understand. I was 15yrs old when I got my first job at a bait -n- tackle shop. All the employees were stealing from the owner, big money items, and there was a cop involved in this theft ring. I was told I was in on it or I should find other employment. I knew if I said anything I would be found face down floating in sheepshead bay. I watched as they forged inventory records so they wouldn't be suspected. It weighed heavy on my conscience. Faced with the choices..I left one evening knowing I would not be returning to work the next day. I told my parents why I made the choice and when the owner called my parents they explained the situation. The cop and two employees were setup and eventually caught. It seems the owner knew a few good cops himself. They were both prosecuted and went to jail.

I know my story is slightly different, but its about knowing right from wrong. Its about standing up for what you know is the right thing. I don't hold anything against Josh, he made the best choice he could for himself I guess under the circumstances. I would have done it different, I think he might wish he had the chance to do it over again.
