Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A huge part of my life is consumed with this hobby. So when someone continually takes advantage of the specific herp community I belong to, then I become involved.
By the way, if you ever show up at my house or start harassing me via phone (which is what I gathered from your little "threat"), we will have a serious problem.

I actually signed up JUST for this thread.
I was curious about your rescue. How are rocks on top of a heat rock,somehow called aspen? That was a poor set up for a monitor.
How is a glass terrarium or a rodent cage suitable habitat for iguanas?
Did you know that having rocks inside turtle enclosures is bad for them. They will regularily ingest them and it looks like it's not a set of up just large rocks, a lot of little ones that they will eat.
I think your "rescue" needs it's own rescue!

By the way, who's reticulated python image are you using in your banner on your website? I know it is not your snake and you did not take that photo.

lol i think that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.. how the heck do they make it on their own out in the wild? We've had this female the biggest one in our tank for this April 7 2009 for 45 years.. my husband's dad had her as a pet.. Spaz the 2nd oldest is 18 year old this past Aug 18th. if anything would have happened to the turtles i think it would have happened by now..

actually the reason they eat small rocks is because to ground up there food like what a bird does.. Birds don't have teeth nether does a turtle they cant just eat something whole so in order for the food item to digest properly they have to eat rocks..

Just because you can find something on the internet doesn't mean it's 100% correct. All I know is my friend refuses to use gravel in his turtle tanks. All of them are doing very well. Even his own 17 year old one.

No matter what anyone else says about how folks on the BOI are out to "get" someone or attack for no reason or whatever they're accussed of....this particular thread is a TEXTBOOK case of the person in question proving everyone else's points for them.
I don't have to believe a word anyone else in this thread says. Everything Charlet_2007 has said and done convinces me she is someone to stay as far away from as possible.
