Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone purchased any geckos of any type from Tara Reed, Traverse City, Michigan.?

Looking for any info good or bad.

I just got some carpet pythons from her. They came in great shape. Packaged well and when she said they would be here. Can't comment on her geckos but if the pythons are an indication I would give her a big thumbs up.

YES, I have got some geckos from Tara Reed or doll mouth I put up a post for some amel fat tails a few weeks ago and she replyed she said that she had a pair of them one amel female and a het amel male avaible . So I responded and ask for pics and weights on the geckos she told me the female was 50 grams and the male was about the same from the first pic of her she dose look like she is close to 50 grams so we agreed on a price and she shipped Then I got the shippment and they are in bad shape you can tell from the pics they are in bad shape not at all what was represented in the pics she had sent me I dont know why she chose me on this one and I am not saying she is a bad person or any thing she just took me on them . I have since contacted a vet and set a appt. to have them checked out I look at it as a adoption for some pets in serious need on a new home with some one who cares and wont treat them in this manner .Now this is my opinon if you saw a dog like tis what would you think what would happen ??? This is animal abuse and opinon .N ow that might be a little harsh but these arent just lizards to me I have over 200 geckos and none look even remotely like these this person did not care for her pets and them sold them after she got her use out of them and decided not to take them to a vat for 35 buck but instead sell them and dump the problem on some else . But thats ok they will have a good home now as PETS not a breeding pair of fattails THANK YOU looking at this post all I want to do is warn others of this person this is not fatals or right no matter what kind of pet it is I dont remember who said this I think it was Paul sage BUT I MIGHT BE WRONG ( IF YOU CANT AFFORD THE VET DONT BUY THE PET) THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TIME TO TAKE A LOOK AT THIS

I hope Tara Reed gives you a full refund for this fattail, it never should have been shipped in this condition.

It actually pains me to see something in such poor health! :(
 
I sent Ms Reed a PM about this thread as I felt that she should be aware of this, if it stands as it is right now, I wouldn't buy from her. Perhaps she will come up with good reasoning or fix this situation.

I can't believe that Ms Reed has not responded to this thread. I find that in quite poor standards. These are some serious accusations that Ms Reed is not responding to.

Sean, have you heard from Ms Reed yet? If you have and it is resolved, you should post it here so that everyone knows.
 
I notified her when the original thread started via pm, and discreetly notified her last night of the pm on one of her gecko threads. Hopefully she gets an e-mail notification and comes here to resolve this.

I went ahead and sent her an email via fauna to make sure she got something. I figured that perhaps a PM could be overlooked and I think she should have an opportunity to respond to this.
 
It has been two days, I have sent Ms Reed a PM and an email. With no response. This is unfortunate.

This should be bumped to a bad guy thread.
 
In all fairness, if you check Tara's activity, she hasn't been on here since Friday morning before your PM. I agree it looks bad (and I also sent her a PM before you I think), but let's at least let her log back on before she is accused of ignoring this. There's been quite a few weekends I didn't even get a chance to check my e-mail....not lately, but it happens.
