Ok i would like to start off with introducing myself. My name is Aaron. I am Natalie’s husband. No i am not the person in the pictures holding the Burm wrong. I have sat her and watched all the comments the past few days and am tired of it. Before all the comments come in i would like to say a few things. First of all i did not send that email stating i was going to take over this site. I’m not sure where it came from. Call me a liar if you’d like. 2nd. Natalie does nothing but love and care for any animal she takes in. She provides them the best home she can with what money we can put towards them. We do not make any money off of any animals we take in. If we take in an animal that we can’t house we immediately find it a proper home.
Yes we keep several of the tanks/enclosures in a closet in our main bedroom. The main reason for that is we have 2 kids. 2 and 3 they get into things. The only thing that is really wrong with anything in that room is the extension cords. Yes I admit that’s not the best way to go..But it works. And she does not use heat rocks. Only heat pads the 1 tank has the rocks on the lid because it’s an old lid that needs to be replaced. I put the rocks there because the stores locally don’t sale lids for 125 G tanks and shipping for a lid of the internet is more than I paid for that tank. The lid works just to keep anything from getting out I used the rocks. All the snakes are in perfect size enclosures. None of them are dirty. All have clean water and substrate. All have adequate lighting. There is nothing wrong with any of the setups. The big Burm is in a 6ft vision cage with a jewelers lock with proper heat and lighting. The turtles are in a 125gallon tank that is cleaned weekly. Our 200gallon fish tank has a Fluval FX 500 filter cleaning it. So its self efficient. So I really don’t know what all the complaints about the so called improper housing for the animals is all about.
I have never given her the full support she has wanted for the rescue. The reason the site she made is on Free Webs is because I didn’t want to pay for a site. As far as Natalie being 501 C she is not. She has talked with the department in charge of the permits and has the Application but has not submitted it because I did not want to pay the fee due to me not fully supporting the rescue. So call it what you want. It’s my fault she does not have the permit. Her saying she has it is her fault. As far as her copying the ethics page from the other rescue, I can’t comment on that other than the fact I know a friend of hers helped her with that. I know that’s an excuse but it’s the truth. Did her friend copy it? After looking at the two versions I do see it’s almost identical which I why I removed it immediately upon her being asked to do so.
Now comes my part in all this. After watching from the sideline and listing to her get upset about what was going on I got rather irritated. I sent the emails in reply to the removal of the ethics page. I said the sarcastic, childish, immature remarks following that email on the page. I let my feelings get the best of me because I was irritated with everyone running Natalie down.
So I apologize for what I said under her name. It was childish and wrong for me to say what I did which made the situation worse. So I do apologize for anything thing offensive I said to anyone.
I take the blame in that.
Now my reason for all this, I know you guys already have it built in your heads that Natalie is a horrible person. This is not true. She loves these animals. She actually got this love for reptiles from me. I’ve always been a lover of all animals especially reptiles. Reptiles never get the proper respect or treatment. People buy them at stores and realize they can’t take care of them. Natalie takes them in and finds them homes with people who can actually take care of them. I know I can’t say a lot to make what’s happened any better. But it’s my fault she don’t have the permits. That’s all there is to it. Just because she doesn’t have the permits don’t mean she’s not qualified to take care of the animals.
Now the other thing that really irks me is the fact that some people brought up us losing a house in a fire a few years back. Have any of you people ever had that happen to you directly? I mean honestly that’s not something to ever joke about and say anyone deserves it. I don’t know what kinda person wishes that on anyone. We almost lost our daughter in that fire. We lost several animals in that fire. It was the worst thing ive ever went though in my life. For someone to come on here and say we deserve that. That is flat out wrong. No matter what the circumstance.
To top it off others brought up our kids into this. Saying we aren’t fit parents. That IF they survive to adulthood they would be horrible people as well. What kind of people say that? IF they survive? What is wrong with that statement? I’m at a loss of words on that. Natalie is a great mother and a great wife. She does everything in her power to take care of our kids and these animals. That’s why she’s a stay at home mom. I work. I pay the bills and provide. I know there are some people on this site that won’t understand that. But there are others that do.
Also to run a person’s appearance down. That’s another thing to top it off. Words like porker are not called for. Just like what I said was not called for. It’s childish and immature and once again I apologize for what I said.
Last but not least. The emails and the phone calls with threats need to stop. This is the real world and what some of you are doing is illegal. We have contacted local law enforcement and informed them of the situation. We do not wish to get anyone in trouble for anything. But if it comes down to our safety it will be done. It’s just starting to get really ridiculous.
So I’m asking for anyone who is doing it to please stop. Its non sense.

) was antagonistic...but he's not the one the nastiest comments were directed to. And he only got really mean in response to those comments. Let's face it...whoever made those comments did so because someone was caught in a big ol' lie and couldn't figure a way out without actually admitting to the lie. And....I'd lay bets that it wasn't just YOU who made those nasty comments. Looking at the typing styles of those comments...looks to me like one of you started it and the other jumped right in and kept on swinging the bigot-stick alongside.
