Well, I have to admit that I am amazed at the unintelligence,
Some pretty smart people have responded. Even more to the point, some people who are very experienced with boas have responded. Decades of experience with large and diverse collections spanning multiple subspecies and locales. People who, believe it or not, know what they're talking about.
I'll admit to a certain bias. I don't think that bias is unwarranted though. See, you are a largely unknown quality to me and the few things you have said about yourself leave me to believe that you're a well intentioned- but not particularly experienced- keeper. On the other hand, the guy you're attacking has been in the business for twenty years, has a couple degrees floating around, is a published author in herpetological journals, personally taught me a huge chunk of the things I know about reptiles and I have witnessed his interactions with his customers firsthand. I'm predisposed towards skepticism of your position because I know what a great guy Ken actually is.
and immaturity on this forum.
In the post where you're declaring that you're taking your ball and going home because people didn't necessarily agree with your position, it's a little hypocritical to accuse others of immaturity.
I provide facts/proof and Ken provides his "word" and pictures (the first of which shows the cut off on the tail)
It'd take an overwhelming preponderance of evidence to make me doubt Ken's word because his word is established as being good. Further, the pictures are much better and more conclusive evidence than anything you- or your neighbor- posted about the condition of the animal.
and yet you overlook his wrongs and bash on me for no good reason other than your own assumptions.
Like the assumption that I know how a boa's tail is supposed to look? Or the assumption that I
just might know a little bit more about animal behavior than the person with a small handful of animals and a couple years ownership?
But I'm tired of wasting my time trying to get the point across since it is obviously passing right through
People can read and understand your points, they just disagree because their own knowledge, experience and logic are counter to the conclusions you have drawn.
so, as most of you will probably be very happy with, I believe this will be my last post here.
Well, I'm not happy with that. Regardless of my stance that your bad guy thread is without merit, I know that Fauna is an invaluable resource and think that everyone should use it.
I wish the best for those who were intelligible enough to see who was really at fault here.
I think the word you were going for was "intelligent" rather than "intelligible" but hey... I disagreed with you, so I must be pretty stupid.
