In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My name is Eric Radi. I had a positive experience with Victor and Reptiles Plus. He was very accommodating and answered all of my questions and sent along requested (current) photos of the animals I inquired about. He also went as far as to be sure I was familiar with the animals and their needs, which I was. His info on the species was correct too.
I have ordered reptiles online many times in the past so I was VERY specific. The animals I purchased were shipped per my requested method and arrived in good health (3/18). This was MY personal experience with him and felt
obligated to share it since it was positive.

Eric

Uros are very cool. I don't have much experience with them, but I wonder if they are similar to the ones I used to observe in wild when I was deployed to Saudi Arabia.

Just curious...did you check the BOI prior to your transaction with Victor?

See,
I told you guys!!!
Even a blind, deaf, and dumb mouse can find a piece of cheese once in awhile
Good luck on those uros dude. remember 2 doses at least of panacur cuz vicky does not treat his animals. And they are almost guaranteed a few internal parasites.

Just go away already

Thats a great question vic?
Did ya think we all might really want to know or did ya just want to bump your only good guy thread up again? I hope he answers, after a little googling I have learned a thing or 2 about the sudanese uro. I'll credit deer fern farms for this info.
They were imported only briefly into North America and thus remain relatively uncommon.
Technically Sudan is still willing to export them, however the U.S. has Sudan listed as a terrorist nation and will not permit any importations from them to clear customs. One or two groups have made it into North America in recent years by being shipped to Canada with some then re-exported into the U.S. However these groups have consistently arrived in terrible condition with very few specimens being successfully acclimated.
This sounds right up your alley Vic.
If this is really a legit customer and actually got a sudan rather than an ornate disguised as a sudan, One of your specialties... we know. Then I really hope they are in good shape. If they accidentally died from import stress related illness, would you care? Your T.O.S. States live arrival only doesn't it.
I guess he would be out of luck if they died the night after he started this thread.

Wow, I have been reading the posts in BOI forums for a while now, but have never posted until now. I find it kind of sad, and rather obvious that Mr. Rivera would post here simply to keep bumping his only positive thread. I would encourage any newcomer to do a search on this guy and read for yourselves the childish rants and unprofessional behavior of a so called reptile specialist and business man.

The Uros are doing great!
They are good eaters and are definitely a pair of U. Ocellatus. The male has very nice blue/green coloring on his sides, face and chin. The female is more drab and has very small femoral pores. They are not ornates. They have the nice coppery/orange oak leaf pattern on their backs with bright white spots.

As a precautionary measure I took them to my vet and their fecal test
was clean - no parasites.

I realize Victor is not too popular here but he did deliver what he promised. Please don't slam me for being a satisfied customer and getting what I wanted.

Eric

No Bashing here eric

I am glad to hear you got what you paid for and that they are healthy.
I only printed what I had learned about that type of uro because of Victors past. I personally purchased from Victor and defended him on a thread on an
incorrect species shipped. Then all the other reports came in, d.o.a's poor shipping practices, turtles with parasites. Then to top it all off he sends snakes out usps up north 2nd day delivery no hot pack no styro. Then lies and swears at, and criticizes all who think he is wrong.
Then when I, who was so nice to him on an earlier thread, said I thought he should replace the dead snakes, he tries to insult me and says I cannot buy from him anymore? I took my business elsewhere and went to Eric Lago who actually cares about his animals and have purchased around $425 worth of imports from him, and plan to buy more stuff soon. I guess your loss is Eric's gain huh vic.

thanks for the feedback Eric we will be getting more exotic hard to get uromastyx in the future check back with us when you need any more. thank you for your purchase!:)

any positive customers

a while ago i was asked a questions by ken from exotic pets if i had any others customers that had a good experience with Reptiles Plus well here is one of the many the are happy with the service Reptiles Plus gave them. i received this Email from a very happy customer thanks!

Hey hows it going victor
I recently purchased a blue tail monitor from your establishment at reptiles plus, about 2 months ago. At which i was 100% satisfied with my purchase, and glad i choose reptiles plus. Not only was victor very helpful and knowledgeable, but he went out of your way to assist me with any questions i had about his selection of reptiles. Victor was very honest with me, and told me exactly what i was getting. i kept in touch with Victor for about 1 week to assure i was getting a good quality monitor, he told me everything i needed to know about this animal.
He did tell me the truth about the monitor being an imported wild caught animal. He also sent me pictures of the different monitors available for sale and let me choose the exact one i wanted. i was a little skeptical about his shipping methods and was friegthened about receiving a doa animal, due to some threads that were posted on this guy, but not every customer is satisfied at what they get. people do make minor mistakes, and learn from them. so i decided to give this guy a second chance, which i am glad i did.
i saw what i wanted on his website and liked the prices he had listed on them. i decided just to go ahead with the transaction and purchase from him. when i received the monitor, it was properly shipped and packaged in an insulated foam box with some heat pads.
As soon as i put the monitor in his new custom cage that i had built for him, he ate so vigorously which was a good sign. I have been working him him on a daily basis and is showing signs of improvement and is starting to get used to me.
now that i have done business with this guy, i would definitely plan on buying from him again.
Thanks you
AnthonySainz
even after all the bashing i received on this site i am glad to proof some people wrong and i will continue to do so if the future. god bless america! eat your heart out debra harris lol!

Interesting...he wrote that letter TO you...but keeps referencing "Victor" & refers to you as "him" instead of you. If he wanted to post on the BOI, why didn't he just do it himself (it certainly appears that he intended that letter to appear someplace)

To me it reads like he has been soliciting customers for positive feedback, as you say it's not written like an off the cuff email thanking a supplier for a great transaction.

He must be an amazing business man these days to have managed to find 2 whole satisfied customers.

That was pretty much the opinion I just gave to somebody via PM (after receiving a comment about my post...Victor's affairs don't hold that much interest to me that I would just randomly correspond with people about them :shootfoot) The writer of that letter might just as well have started out "Here's the letter you asked for, Victor. Hope it helps"

With no email header and the way it is written, I wouldn't put it pass Victor of typing it himself.

while the spelling is quite bad it's not quite up to..errr, well, down to Vics usual standards, it's posibbly legitimate, but obviously solicited.
