    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Victor Rivera at Reptiles Plus is Untrustworthy!

my experience with rep plus

I do not have a "dog in this fight" so to speak but I can tell you about my exp with purchasing a Mata-Mata from rep plus in late jan or early feb. I live in s. Illinois and sent Mr. Rivera the money for my purchase the temp was not very good for about 3-weeks and Mr. Rivera, concerned for both the health of the turtle as well as my investment money waited until the temp rose, then sent me my turtle, overnight and packaged with plenty of styrofoam insulation and a heat pack. My Mata-Mata is still alive and in GREAT shape it ate 2 days after I got it, and hasn't slowed down yet!! real cool, I really love it. as for anyone elses exp I can not comment. Have a good one, CYA'(was also the best price I could find for that type of turtle).

I really had not one problem with the Mata-Mata I purchased, really sorry to bust your bubble, so to speak super turtle, great price etc...and I don't even know the dude...victor rivera...I live right out of st. lou.

That's great you didn't have a problem.
Did you know about his history before ordering from him?
Did it occur to you that maybe the reason you didn't have a problem was because of the effectiveness of the BOI and this thread in particular?
I think the BOI has done an irreplaceable job in cleaning up the behaviors of most borderline bad guys and I think even the some of the real bad guys probably try to do things a little better, of the course the scammer-scumbags will never change...

your are probably right about the thread, makes a little sense to me if you dont have the customer satisfaction you got no biz, ya know. If that is the case then thats great and your right a true scammer will not stop for long....I have a cool turtle...if he would have screwed me....bad things could happen, karma ya know... no fuk Karma, I really like sawed off l'ville sluggers!! Just a heads up... I did a little snooping..

There is a member here by the name of Gamergod82 (Kenneth Dunn) who had advertised some snakes I was interested in.
I sent an email several days ago and never heard back.. so being the kind of person I am I did a google search on his user name.. came up with some interesting info..

a myspace page for "gamergod82" Reptiles Plus (Kenneth) http://www.myspace.com/Gamergod82 which lists his business as being http://www.reptilesplus.net

So I did a search here on the BOI and found this thread.
After reading some of it I decided to pass on the snakes as well as post the info in the "for sale" ad which started my original search http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132288
 
Nice catch there mister fox, interesting reads there, both From Victor's and his boytoy...ooops I mean partner's Myspace pages. God bless the B.O.I. and the enlightenment it provides. I am going to go now and laugh my a-- off till I puke. This information should put the final nail in the "Reptiles Plus" coffin.

well good for you! you can buy your snakes some where else! we are not asking you or anyone to buy from reptiles plus! trust me we have customers who will buy snakes and other things from our store and online. have nice day! btw snoop all you want we have nothing to hide from you or anybody!

from reading all the crap on here this BIO thread is nothing but a witch hunt! with a select group of people with no lives,haters and people with nothing better to do then spread lies and deceive the public with there one sided stories. yes i think i put it all in a nut shell! For the record the BIO does not and will not keep me in line with there threats! i choose to do the right thing for my customers because that what i belive in. :yesnod: so cut the bull!

Wow.. for someone who has nothing to hide you certainly do seem to be very defensive.
Just so you know, it sent up a few red flags when Kenneth didn't bother to answer my email. So I figured that if he couldn't be bothered to reply then what would he do if I had placed an order and there was a problem? Ignoring a potential customer is not good business. He lost mine when he ignored my inquiry which prompted me to "snoop". Now I'm glad I did. How a business treats a customer (or a potential customer) says a lot about the business.. both of you have failed on that account. So I will happily take my business elsewhere. There are a lot of people out there selling snakes. So I see no need to give my money to someone who ignores me or worse yet comes off as defensive, rude and arrogant.

its is not his intention to ignore you or any potential customer he could not get back to you because he had to check with me to see if we still had the snakes available for sale. i could have already sold them. so thats why he could not get back to you yet! also you and anyone here can purchase from us if you choose to also a phone will be ok we are not rude to any one business is business as long as people are not rude to us. and if someone choose not to do business with us we do not take it personal its a free market. good day

And how many days does it take to find out? Do I need to be psychic to do business with Kenneth?

A GOOD businessman would have written back to me right away and said that he would have to check the availablilty. He didn't. He has never given me any indication at all that he needed to check to see if they were available. Victor, I know I am old enough to be your and Kenneth's momma.. so let me try to explain something to you that you may not know. It's basic business 101. When a customer inquires about something it's good business practice to let them know that you received their inquiry. It's good business to let them know what is going on. IF you want to secure the sale you have to pay attention to your customers/potential customers. Not ignore them as if they do not exist. Ignoring a customer only guarantees that they will go elsewhere. I'm proof of that. I asked about some snakes, was ignored, so I went elsewhere. It's just that simple. And you coming on here getting defensive with me only prooves to me that I did the right thing.

No, I would have behaved like a responsible adult. Getting defensive does not solve anything. If a person wants people to respect them as an honest businessman they need to act like one. If they screw up they need to admit it with a calm cool head and do their best to make things right with their customers. I have worked in retail longer than you have been alive. I have had my own business as well as worked for others. I have dealt with good suppliers and bad ones as well as good customers and bad ones. The best a person can do as a businessman is to be fair, honest and responsible for their actions and those of their employees. Yes.. a business owner IS responsible for those who work for him as they are a reflection of his business and it's practices.

To do otherwise only ensures they will lose business. To act like a child only ensures that others will treat them like one.
 
well i apoligize for that. we get new animals weekly they come and go sometimes very quickly. we get a lot of orders and calls a day it over whelms me sometimes. so its my fault for not getting back to him so he can answer your questions. for that i am sorry. however if you ever have any questions about the reptiles post on here or on our website www.reptilesplus.net you are more then welcome to call myself or kenneth.
 
It's kind of sad when one has to refuse to sell to so many people because they are "trying to make him look bad" although they have nothing to gain from it......

No the reason why we would refuse to sell to you again is that you solicited us as vet of the zoo and that you were ordering the red foot on the behalf of the memphis zoo for an exhibit. which is a flat out lie! you purchase the red foot for your own personal use. the zoo never order a red foot for any of its exhibits. so you use the zoo name to get the tortoise from us. that was very dishonist of you. :NoNo: so we live and learn from this. and from now on we require parper work from the zoo in question. not just word of mouth!
 
you REALLY crack me up now. First of all, I have NEVER lived in TN. I live in MS which is just across statelines and has no laws what so ever against owning a redfoot. If you want prove, ask Kevin Cantrell at Passport Herps he has shipped to my home address. So even if I hadn't worked at the zoo, YOU still would've sold me a worm infested wild caught tortoise that I couldn've gotten cheaper had I Purchased it AS a wild caught!
Next, I don't know what paper work you think you will require, when you are the one shipping animals across statelines NATIONWIDE without health certificates...explain THAT ONE to me victor!
