    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy LLL Reptile-Beware!

He definitely called within three days of the animal arriving. It arrived on a Friday, he called your shop on Sunday.
 
Couple of things I am seeing. You should NOT need a police order to get a copy of YOUR OWN phone bill. I have a hard time believing this. Even if you pay your bill online... there should be a record that you can access. It shouldn't just say.... "pay this much"

LLL is now saying that if you will show document proof of the call they will refund everything... including shipping. What have you got to loose if your correct on your time frame.

David.. you say your friend paid with a MO.... OK, whats the problem. Sure LLL cant refund a card... but I bet they could cut a check and put it in the mail.

Show the proof and get your money back and be done with this.
 
Seeing as how I never make long distance calls on my home phone and have never had a need to request my own phone records, I have absolutely zero idea about what "should" be possible.

This is why when I am conducting business for myself, I prefer to do it via e-mail, that way there is tangible evidence should the need for it arise.
 
Ok...the fact is that I have never had anyone that I do business with just flat out lie like Scott. During this whole ordeal I did not think to save a copy of my freaking phone records so I could prove to the world that the owner is a lair. I was expecting this whole thing to end nicely. Hey Scotty...why dont you call insight cable/phone and see for yourself if you need a subpoena? www.insightbb.com I do not have the actual paper copy because it was trashed...like I said, I never thought I would need that to defend myself from a Liar! And now he wants to offer all my money back knowing I dont have a copy...lol But its cool...you just cost yourself alot of business Scott....and a whole hell of a lot more than $40.
 
I have the same phone company as Eric, so I called and inquired about the phone records myself. They said the same thing.....that unless I have a subpoena from the local PO or other law enforcement they cannot give out phone records.

I can however access detailed phone records on my AT&T cell phone account. Just for future reference, thats good to know.

Hes not reasonable because he refuses to Acknowledge that his "staff" made a mistake and didnt document this situation like theyre paid to do! Or hes just flat out lying about it and knows that I contacted them!

what do you mean? a more than fair business willing to fully refund a customer including shipping as long as they show proof they called w/in 72hours!! yup that's horrible :rolleyes::rofl:
wow he offered to refund you 100% COMPLETELY and still all you can do is complain. Theres only one reason i can think of you wouldn't just prove you called w/in 72hours and get a refund :rolleyes: . I know if i could get my $200 back in cash or starbucks giftcards by posting my phone bill as prove i wouldn't have even wasted time posting on here again untill i had the proof, well unless there was no proof. or maybe your gonna wait untill he offers to pay you back $200 in nickels, dimes, quatars, or oh yeah all pennies!! that'll teach lll a lesson, make them pay $40 in shipping to mail you a bunch of change, i mean that was one of the main concerns u didn't think it was fair to pay shipping again! i think scott is being waaaay more than fair by offering to pay you a full refund HOWEVER YOU WANR IT including shipping, is it REALLY that unfair to give the man a little proof and post your phone bill? maybe you should stop with the name calling to lll and people just asking for proof and start yelling at your phone company for not giving you access to YOUR phone bill. well i'm off to the grocery store, and after i buy groceries i'm gonna demand they pay my gas money for me having to drive up there to pick a few things up :rolleyes:

First of all, he never excluded that as a possibility. Because of that possibility, he's given you the opportunity to provide documentation proving you tried contacting them within 72 hours. Seems reasonable to me.

I hate to say it, but given his willingness to bend to accommodate you, and given your inability to prove that you did call him within the time frame that you stated...you are showing up more as a bad buyer (at this point) than Scott is showing up as a liar or bad guy.
 
Because im already out $200...and half of what the animal cost is $80 not $40 there is a point to make here. Yall still dont get it...all yall are perfectly content with these people knowingly selling mite infested animals. During one phone conversation I asked If they knew that theyre animals had mites and I was told yes for the most part...and they dont treat the animals, they just sell them! I cant believe yall act like they dont know what theyre doing. They screw people on a professional level...its quite deceiving.

Right... half of what THE ANIMAL cost. If you had agreed upon half the TOTAL cost, your credit would've been $100, not $80. That implicitly states shipping will not be covered. End of story.
 
just to let you know this store is open seven days a week so i don't understand why you didn't call them. I live in San Diego and i don't live to far from lll reptile. they have really nice animals. and Ive bought tons of stuff from them. i also bought tons of reptile supplies. Im going to have to be on lll reptile side. I never had a single bad animal from them. If you called them they would of gave your money back or send you a new one in the mail.
 
I'll say this....sometimes, there is a huge difference between being able to go to a place and pick out the exact animal you want as opposed to having them ship you an animal....you're at their mercy and have to trust that they will send you an honestly represented healthy animal.
 
When you place an animal order online, someone will contact you via phone or email within 24 hours to schedule a shipping day for with you to receive your animal box.

Ive had red mites on a gecko for over a month before it died. I don't think you knew what you were doing. from what you keep saying.
 
i well post every day and tell everyone how good a guy Scotty ive ment him and talked to him in person. hes a good friend of mine. i well defined him any day. Just because I can see the animals in person doesn't make it better. You can e-mail then and ask for a picture of the animal your going to get. Did you even ask them for a pic. Your just mad because you miss up. next time read up on the animal before you buy it.

So, you decide that after MANY many pages, to repeat what 50 others have said and come at this guy in another attempt to provoke him. I don't know why you speak honestly, but that's my opinion.

I've read every single post, it's at the point where there is a solution : Scott@LLL offering a FULL refund INCLUDING shipping which sounds like it's coming straight out of this honest guys pocket almost for what??? A phone bill CONFIRMING his accusation. All Eric needs to do is get this which I don't think should be that hard, onus is on him to get something that is so easily provided. Apparently it is hard to make a phone call and explain the situation which I'm sure they would happily comply. Scott@LLL has gone far above what he should've done and he should recieve a big kudos for doing something that Eric doesn't deserve.

This thread should be concluded and LLL found to be a GOOD GUY whether or not Eric gets a refund or not because Scott has done everything and more.

Jeez....I really wish people would read the thread in its entirety before offering silly commentary such as this. Nobody said the gecko died as a result of the mites directly....it was likely stress due to having to treat it FOR the mites. Understood? I have personally treated dozens of geckos with Reptile Relief and had ZERO issues.

Kel, learn some proper spelling and grammar before you come on here tossing accusations at people....it makes you look like a fool when you open your mouth without having the facts straight.
