    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Randal, dont name names like that in a post on the fauna feedback forum you knucklehead. Its a forum for feedback about fauna, not your personal feelings about other members. Stuff like that can launch a war in here and its exactly what Rich is trying to detract from this site.

Not that your feelings don't count, but my idea is we make a thread Hell where we can all lay out our feelings for one another and what puts each of us off about each other. Maybe we'll understand where we all stand and not do the things that get us clawing at each others throats in other vital areas of the board.

Do issues REALLY get resolved in the HELL forum, or do they just get worse? I ask this seriously...........
 
It would be an interesting exercise, now that personal attacks aren't welcome there. I'm not sure how many people could state their beefs, and/or be receptive to those of others without it getting nasty.

As long as everyone approached the situation from the very beginning with the attitude that "Shrap is always right", there should be no reason for anyone to get nasty.

Now if I could only get that concept to work in my own household.....

Maybe I just didn't notice it as much but there seemed to be less of it being drug around the rest of this place when Hell was uncensored. It would give them a place to do it out of such public eye at least.

More or less the hell forum now to me isn't for issues as much as it is to let loose and drop a few f-bombs and tell some funny jokes or raunchy stories that we cant do in the general forums.

An issue like this I think could get resolved, because its airing our differences out and learning how to deal with each other, and maybe affording us the ability to change some things about ourselves that others may not like.

I think it has the possibility to get personal and violate the rule of no personal attacks, but sometimes things actually need to get worse before they get better.

Of course this also could be handled through a PM between members. But then you cant see whats happening and it doesn't afford you the opportunity to see just how many folks really don't get along with each other, and see how when two or more of those folks are on the same thread it can have the potential to be a real disaster.

Then there is the other option of just letting it all blow up and simply banning anyone that crosses the line. Its a fast and effective way but its also a fast way to lose members and potentially contributing members that would otherwise financially support the site.

Just a thought, maybe not a good one, but my intentions are good.

Given the cause, I'd be willing to give things a little leeway....as long as it is made clear that the thread is for constructive purposes (and if somebody is told to tone it down, it needs to be done).
 
Well, that was kind of the original purpose of the HELL forum. Remember the running battles between Gubitz and Lawson? I basically set it up to be a wrestling rink for them two so they could contain their battles in there instead of all over the site.

But it was getting to the point where people were inviting others to come to the HELL forum so they COULD attack each other freely and use the language so dear to their hearts. It wasn't to try to resolve anything, it was to have free reign of the language they wanted to use to express themselves more fully. So it just got out of hand.

So let's do this. Go ahead and take a stab at that. But I want the GOAL to be to try to work out the differences, and NOT as just an avenue leading towards more animosity caused by the more freedom of expression within the HELL forum that is allowed.

Well, this should be interesting......
