    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello,

I'm following up on my order from two weeks ago, #1754, which I canceled last Saturday after calling and finding out that you guys were out of one of the items I had ordered. I haven't received my refund yet and I also haven't received any response from previous phone messages and emails. I have started a thread about this at Fauna Classifieds, because I'm feeling rather frustrated about the lack of communication. If there are extenuating circumstances for why no one has been able to respond to me then please let me know.

I ordered from him several years ago, about $120 worth of roaches. It took several months, and many phone calls/emails, but I did EVENTUALLY get my order. It was very frustrating though. Every time I called his shop, I was told he'd "just stepped out", and requests for a return phone call were ignored.

Hopefully posting this thread will get his attention. If I remember correctly, it was only my threat of posting a "bad guy" thread that finally got me a response.
 
Yea, I saw those posts before I placed my order :( There aren't many suppliers of frozen mice/rats on the west coast so I decided to take a chance and see if I had better luck. Obviously it isn't working out so great! I just send a request via PayPal to Matt, so now all he has to do is click the mouse a few times to issue me my refund. I called again today but the phone just kept ringing...
 
If they step up and refund you the money i suggest ordering from the mouse factory. My one and only supplier when i need it on a last whim. You wont be dissapointed
 
I have ordered from the Mouse Factory before I think they're great! Awesome customer service and they process orders quickly, unfortunately because I'm in CA it costs me at least $50 in shipping! I ordered quite a bit from them last time and I paid about $80 in shipping : ( I think I'm going to try Layne Labs and see how they work out, I don't know much about them but I've had a few people recommend them.

I called MB Reptiles again today and the phone rang twice and then went to the answering machine, which is actually the first time the answering machine has picked up in two days. So I left a message stating I was following up on my order/refund and let them know I had requested money from them through PayPal...

Have you tried calling from a restricted number? They might be ignoring your number.
 
I tried calling from work, but it's the same zip code as my cell phone. I don't have access to a phone with a restricted number. I opened up a dispute through PayPal so maybe I'll get a response...
 
I had an experience with Matt Bruner that was unforgettable!!! I only got my $600 Klondike Bar back thanks to a Bank of America and a credit card dispute!!! I bet Matt could tell the story better than I!! lol.. I would never do business with them/him again!!!
 
Well this thread has been enlightening. I had no idea he had been like this with other people. Now I look a bit silly defending him in the start of this thread. :(
I have also tried to contact him directly through email and phone calls to inform him of this thread and failed.
To the op I hope this gets resolved eventually.

You defended him based on your experiences. You are obviously a fair person that can still be objective....we live and learn.

Finally got refund...

I finally got my refund back...via PayPal Claims :thumbsup: I called MB Reptiles last Friday and I actually spoke with someone! I told her I was calling about my refund from my cancelled order to which she immediately applied that she was just the "morning person" and couldn't do anything about that. I then told her to inform Matt that I had issued a claim through PayPal, she immediately said that they couldn't issue a refund at this point because then I would be credited back twice - once by them and once by PayPal. I informed her that I could cancel the PayPal claim at anytime so this wasn't an issued. She didn't say anything so I just asked her to let Matt know and I would appreciate a call or an email from him.

I never heard anything back, luckily I wasn't holding my breath. At least I got my money back, but this was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a seller :angry:
 
This past Monday I went to clean the setup of my bumblebee female that I had bought from Matt back in Feb. I tossed her in with another female while I worked on the tank. Imagine my surprise when I opened the tank later and found my female bumblebee locked up with my normal female! Turns out my female was a male. :(
I called the shop and explained what happened. About an hour later I got a call from Matt and we negotiated a fix. The next day I received a refund for the difference we had settled on. I can't ask for better customer service!

My experience does not negate bad experiences that others may have had, but sometimes people get busy and things happen. It seems like things are running smoothly now with Matt and I would buy from him again.
