Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Dennis... that is the point I was trying to get at. Maybe I went about my wording wrong.

This all spawns from the fact that the OP backed out. I applaud her for keeping the emails professional... but what she did in the threads was not.

I would be right there with Shadera if the OP sent money then requested it back for some bogus reason and reposted her wanted ad... but money never changed hands. There was no transaction.

I also dont feel this BG thread was warrented. Both parties are in the wrong.

Yes... I understand she feels she was lied to..... but there really wasnt a transaction here. Just someone window shopping. It happens unfortunately. Aside from that one sale... nothing was lost because the animal was not up for sale anywhere. Its not like she had to turn another potential customer away because she was waiting for payment.

Jeff, While I understand where you are coming from regarding how the seller looks posting in the OPs threads, I will disagree with you that Shadera deserves a bad guy thread. After all, no deal transpired as the OP backed out. This isnt an inquiry thread, its a straight up bad guy thread. And for what? Shadera took her lumps (infractions) like an adult and most likely will learn from this. The point still remains that she has a bag guy thread about her and that will never go away.

Shadera and I dont always see eye to eye, in fact, sometimes she downright despises me. She knows that she shouldnt do what she did now and it honestly should have been left at that.

Dustin, there is nothing wrong with disagreeing with mods. They are human too and have an opinion as well. I think their logic is one that I respect most of the time as they mainly just mediate the issues at hand.

No worries. Your previous posts were pretty much the same realm as what I posted. I don't see any disagreement. My previous post was just stating what prompted her response, I didn't state it was correct or that I would follow suit. Understanding the reasoning why is different from condoning.
 
I'm not even sure the original response to the add was anything more than trying to warn a seller that she's not a serious buyer. I mean the OP was looking to buy a list of BP's that included a pair of pieds, a pair of albinos, and a few other things that totaled out to be over $3000 at least. In the emails you can see she only has $40-50 to spend right now..? I'm not even sure reading everything that the OP is even an adult?

Since no transaction took place, and this thread exists solely because of what Shadera posted in a wanted thread making the OP look bad, I would guess that this could also fall under retaliatory...couldn't it?
 
well actually im 18 so im an adult. i actually have about $100 right now. i just bought two pastels a male and a female last week

All that said, I actually think that Shadera has come across to me as MORE of my kinda person, and I'm MORE likely to have trades, and buy from her in the future. If someone is willing to lye about the little things, what won't they lie about???

Calm down. Their really is no reason for being hostile. The seller acted like a child by following her around based on her "lying" to her. Mayeb she did, and really who cares. Who hasn't been lied to? I've been in sales, and I've had alot more sales that were in the thousands that just walked away. Like I said I didn't get upset, and followed the person around. You except it, and move on like an adult.

And for the record I don't think she deserved this bad guy thread. I do think she wasn't behaving in a mature, adult way though.

I don't think any of us doubt that you did so, in fact, we've seen as much in writing in the emails that were posted. The fact that you did let Shadera know was actually quite nice of you. Most people that back out just disappear. I think where things went wrong was the in the way you backed out. You led her to believe you'd ALREADY found another deal, yet you still sought out another snake. In the future, just say you're no longer interested. You don't have to give an explanation, especially if it's not a truthful one. Honestly goes a long way in this industry. If you're willing to tell a little white lie about a harmless situation such as this one, people may be a whole heck of a lot less likely to believe you in serious situations

Jeff - I'm seriously sorry if that previous post read as hostile. It would take a lot more than this to make me mad or hostile. It was written with sarcasm and dripping with humor... at least it was meant to be read that way

Believe me Shadera is my kind of person too. I'd love to do business with an upstanding seller like her. Absolutely NOBODY said ANYTHING about boycotting or burning Shadera. Hell if she made me a deal like that I'd literally have the money by her by tomorrow, and trust 100% that I'd be getting a great animal. BUT... She like us all are human, and get frustrated at times, and take harsh actions as she did. She got an infraction for it. It should have been over there. Then the op starts a bad guy thread. I think from that point on the op, and Shadera crucified themselves.
 
And though she was offered a great deal from Shadera, she DID in FACT find a better deal. Maybe not a better price, or who could even say a better animal, but another well respected member of this site who will name herself if she so chooses did come to the op, and offer a deal to the op that was more appealing because they are local.

There is always two sides to the story that very few people will ever see even with so called proof on the boi. Be careful with conclusions.
 
i did find another offer locally but my guy backed out. so i put my ad back up since i had already turned shadera down. ive tried to explain that, i tried to get two pieds to breed with siblings from the better offer it didnt work, i turned down two siblings and decided for one male,and i put the ad back up
 
Elizabeth: If you don't mind I'd just like to say that what's so frustrating to everybody is that when you agree to a sale by pm it feels to the seller like you've made a commitment to buy when actually you're still shopping around.

This can all be avoided by planning your purchases without committing to one verbally until you're sure you're going to purchase.

To some it comes as a great insult when a buyer runs them around, and haggles prices that in this case are well below market value anyway only to back out.

At the same time you're new to this forum, and possibly still new to the hobby/business so I'd expect veterans of this business to be more understanding than they were.
