    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Jeff and Christina Wise (Wise Reptiles) Stole Money from Benefit Auctions for Maggie

Sociopaths are incapable of remorse. These two are nothing more than running scared but they are not smart enough to understand that they can't lie their way out of the situation that they have backed themselves into. If they had any sense or class whatsoever they would be calling me and begging me to take their animals and to please sell them and to get the proceeds to Maggie. But no, these two wanted me to get Maggie and John to sign releases after I am already driving out of my way to meet Jeff for these animals after being advised by someone who is obviously more intellectually challenged then they are.

You are giving them way too much credit. Christina is the brains of the operation and I'd be surprised if she could find her own ass with both hands and if Jeff could find her (Christina's) ass with both hands he'd be twice as smart as I give him credit for and you think they could plan something like that? I'd be amazed to find that they didn't have a difficult time planning what they would be eating for dinner.

While I don't know if one of the mods asked for a tally of the auctions or not but I do know that I asked on more than one occasion and I was told "I am working on it". Prior to that I asked them for a copy of their pay-pal statement to verify that there were indeed payments being sent to Maggie. This was just after they had sent her the second $800 payment.

I have copied all their pay-pal transactions and rest assured I will be getting a total within a few days. I too think the total is higher as I know of at least one person's name that isn't on the list and some of what I donated wasn't counted either.

Well, it has been a mighty long time since I have posted here…the reasons for that being best kept for another thread, another time. But as has been said here many times, the community here is more than many realize, it truly is like family, and however far removed you may become, you don’t stop caring about them…or feeling pain when one is lost or hurt.

Chuck was a man that I respected and felt honored to call a friend, I shed tears when I heard of his passing, and felt such admiration at what this family had done to help ease Maggie’s burden, and now hearing what these….people…have done to his family brought a sense of anger and sadness that I can’t even describe. I suppose I don’t have to, since I am certain those posting here know exactly what I am feeling.

I am not even going to lower myself to address the Wises, as anything I have to say to them would not be suitable for most to read. People like this will, one way or another, pay for the things that they have done.

Maggie – I just felt the need to add myself to the list of those who considered Chuck a wonderful friend and that while I am not in a position right now to do much, I would gladly do anything I am able to help out you and your family. Although I have not been fortunate enough to get to know you personally, I have felt as if I knew you from the wonderful things Chuck had to say about you and your beautiful family. So if there is anything…please don’t hesitate to ask.

Good luck to all of you who are helping to deal with it, this should not be allowed to lie.

To me, one of the worst effects was that Maggie felt uncomfortable to post here because of this. I hope that this new outpouring of family feeling lets you know you should "bring" anything on, the community is behind you all the way.
 
You know-I've felt terrible from Day 1-when I couldn't donate due to me very small fixed income, but I've made it my mission to get the story out so that these pieces of filth GO DOWN.

I'm posting this link everyplace I can think of, and I'll personally make sure that the links/phone numbers to the proper authorities show up at least once on every page of this thread from here on in.

As we come across more info, I'll add it to my list.

I've found it difficult to read page after page, but I wanted to ask...

Does anyone have a brief write up of the situation that would like to submit? More on the side of maintaining our professionalism rather then what we'd all really like to say about them. A sort of short article outlining information about why the donations when taken and what happened to them. I would like to get it up on my blog and I'm sure others would be able to utilize it on their sites or even in flyers at shows.

I'd do one myself, but I'm sure someone closer to the situation would be able to write it up better...
 
This is horrible! So sorry to Maggie and her family. Wises need to eat s*** and die! I don't know what else to say!

C'mon, hupababy. What this individual did was beyond terrible and everybody reading this thread understands that. That being said, I still think it's a bit inappropriate to say that they should die... Let's use a little restraint and know that the Wise's will suffer the consequences of their actions, as they should.
 
Ok ok ok your right! They should atleast have bamboo shoved under their finger nails then. That pain is nothing compaired to what Maggie has been going thru. Let them live but they need to get what they deserve! Not tickles either!
 
I'm sure no one wants to get banned because of the emotional response that the Wise's now trigger with a lot of folks, but threats towards ANYONE on this site are going to definitely get you there in a hurry. :NoNo:

Maggie, I do not feel sorry for you because you have many people here who care about you. I envy you for your courage and the amount of support that is with you. My sincere condolences to you and your family on your loss. If I could help somehow, please PM me.

Wise family, "I am sorry." Sorry that greed got the best of you. People lie.. I've lied.. and those who deny that they never lied is the worst kind.. but this is very despicable. I truly hope that each of you reconcile issues within yourselves and rectify matters soon..

Finally, I've made it to the last post...

First of all, my sincerest condolences to Maggie and the Kimmel family in this time of loss, and I wish you the best of luck in recovering and moving forward.

I haven't been a member of this site for very long, but I have to say that it is impressive how the reptile community, as a whole pulls together to support their own, both on this site and others that I belong to.

Concerning the Wises. Something that I noticed, maybe 50-60 pages back was some screen names and e-mail addresses that were used with religious and other connotations, as well as, something about advice for twins, etc... This had me wondering what other online communities they may have participated in and conducted some type of similar operation, as far as, collecting money, disappearing, and resurfacing later in a different community, that never got reported. So I was kind of wondering if anyone with the awesome computer skills, that I lack, has checked it out, or posted links to this thread in some of those communities to see if any one else comes forward. I just find it hard to believe, with the legnths they went to to cover their tracks, that this is the first incident.

I would also like to say Good Luck to all of those who are taking legal recourse in this situation...

Hi- I am not a retile/exotic breeder, but Christine Wise ended up going to a website I am a member of called "Diaperswappers.com".
She stole images from an old blog where a family was pregnant with triplets, posted it in our "Trying to Conceive" forum and made up a story about how she just found out she was pregnant with triplets so they needed free stuff to help them out. She posted an Ultrasound picture but removed the date off the top (fishy again!).
A few of us thought her posting was fishy, because of her recently joining and then making a post saying she wanted twins.. then a week later saying she was preggers with 3.. "surprise"!! And of course, right after that, asking for handouts.
After a google search, we found the REAL ultrasound pictures stamped 2001, and sadly, the REAL family lost the triplet children at 27 weeks, I believe.
We started searching more and found this forum with more info on her.

Wow. Thank you for posting this! I'm not surprised at all that they have scammed others, or attempted to. They are the lowest of the low!

We just discovered it last night. I'm rather groggy from staying up so late looking for more info on her, but it was so interesting I kept searching until the wee hours of the morning! :reddevil:
I am hoping we caught it before she was actually able to scam anyone, she wrote another post on our forums complaining of people backing out of transactions with her, so maybe they got bad vibes..?
Anyway, she has a lot of explaining to do.. my guess is she won't be back on our board. Ever. I hope!

Thank you for coming forth with this information. This will certainly remove any last shreds of doubt that the Wise duo PLANNED this gyp, it wasn't a last minute decision when faced with the money and "hard times," and it wasn't their first time!:thumbsup:
