In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

    Enclosures near windows?

I am moving to a new house and I thought that the back porch, (it is actually an indoor porch, all glass across the back but nicely shaded all day by large trees right off the porch) would be a great place to put my enclosures. Then I was doing some research and come to find that putting...

Head bob and wave between beardies

So I know beardies have some distinct body language but I didn't realize how much so. My little girl started waving for the first time today and the second my big guy saw it from his enclosure the bobbing started. She stops he stops, she starts he starts. Is this a sign of submission for social...

    Rails for sliding glass doors?

I have searched around and everyone keeps saying Lowe's or Home Depot but I have been to several stores and looked online and I can't seem to find what I am looking for, yet I look online (including here) and people seem to have them on their custom enclosures regularly. Where in the world do...

I have searched around and everyone keeps saying Lowe's or Home Depot but I have been to several stores and looked online and I can't seem to find what I am looking for, yet I look online (including here) and people seem to have them regularly. Where in the world do you get the sliding frame...

All of these exotic laws are getting out of hand, your input?

I am sure this is a forum where I don't have to detail how ridiculous some of the laws out there are getting as far as ownership of exotics. I know that asking for your input on exotic laws as a whole is opening a can of worms in a sense, but I do have two things I am hoping to get some input...

    Be careful with your baby(pet)sitters!

I have learned the hard way that, though some reptiles can be hardy, it is still important that the people you leave in their care are not only knowledgeable, but responsible enough to take care of your exotic. I left for three weeks to see my family for Christmas. All I had asked them to do...

Wanted Het pairs or female het tsk axanthic

Alright I have decided to make the breeding leap. I am willing to take time with it because I want my first project to be one that I really get into. I have a male SK axanthic that I would love to breed. Here is my list of what I am looking for (order of priority): Het toffee pair (if you have...

My new baby beardie... help me identify the morph

So I went into Petco today and looked through the reptile section (which I often do without buying). This time something caught my eye. I had no intentions of buying anything, but I had to get this little beauty: I am calling it a her for now, and she is an absolute princess. Total...

Wanted female SK Axanthic (100% het) and other hets a big +

Ok so the deal is, my male TSK axanthic is getting to the point he can breed. A friend of mine that has bred before said he would help me out and I want to try my hand at breeding. I really can't do a 0.1 visual axanthic right now, but a het (especially if other morphs are involved) would be...

Info It is stickied but no one is reading it!

I know this is stickied, and if this thread needs to be deleted for space/rules I completely understand and am sorry for wasting that admins time. I just wanted to get this out there from another user instead of an admin in hopes some people may actually begin to understand. Why do people argue...

Need cypress mulch in Colorado (or another good substrate idea)

I just got my tegu enclosure built and now need 18-21 cubic feet of cypress mulch. Unfortunately, I was unaware since I just moved out from North Carolina, that there is 0 cypress mulch to be found in Colorado. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to find some around Fort Collins or have a...

Want to build a semiaquatic "micro" ecosystem

Let me start by saying that I KNOW exactly what most of you are going to say. Don't mix animals and stick with one. I agree that this can be the case, especially with larger animals and smaller tanks. I, however, want some smaller animals and have a 55 gallon tall tank that I wanted to put ~2"...

    HE ATE F/T!!!

I am sorry for the overly excited thread title, but after 8 months of trial and error I finally got my Axanthic to tag his first F/T! For those of you that are wondering how to get your picky eater to eat (and trust me mine is picky) here is what I recommend that worked for me: 1. Let the rat...

Wanted Monitor/tegu/iguana that grows to 3-4' (maybe more)

Hello and thank you for viewing. I am interested in a monitor. I am the previous owner of a wonderful Bobby Hill black and white tegu that I had to donate to a zoo when I moved from North Carolina to Colorado. I LOVE the look of savannah monitors, but am really interested in any lizard that...

Trade Rare paintball stuff for your reptiles NOW WITH PICS

Hello and thanks for viewing. Due to beating my body up too much over the years, I haven't been able to get back into paintball. About 2 years ago I messed up my ankle and every time I think I will be able to get back into it, something else happens. I have decided to turn my attention to my...
