• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Buying to resell. Your thoughts?

I know there are going to be mixed opinions on this, and I can definitely see things from both sides. I'm just curious what people think and why. Do you think it's wrong to buy wholesale lots of snakes and resell them? Or just buy a couple snakes cheap to resell for market price? Assume that...

    Good Guy David Keller

Just wanted to give this guy a thumbs up, we purchased three females and a male from him a couple weeks ago and are very happy with all of them. He was super nice throughout the transaction and kept me posted along the way. All of the snakes look great, are eating without issues, and were...

    Caring for Brazilian Rainbow Boas?

I only recently found out about these and they're absolutely beautiful...I looked up some info on making the habitats and it seems pretty easy, just wondering how easy it is in practice. We deal solely with ball pythons at the moment which are very simple to maintain, I'm just wondering how...

Anyone seen a pastel like this?

I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures, but this guy is orange. I've seen really nice bright yellow pastels, I've seen pastels that are browned out on top but still have a nice yellow on the sides, but this boy is something different. He has a brown top and then a very noticeable...

    Cuddle Buddies

Saw these two last night and just had to take a picture. Turns out he's one of the good guys who will stay and cuddle after doing the dirty. Enjoy :)

    Orange Dream?

I saw someone yesterday offering to trade an orange dream for a banana/coral glow. I hadn't really taken time before to look into the orange dreams (because I hadn't seen it do anything amazing), so I started looking into them more today. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to me an orange dream...

Make a separate "TRADE" sub forum

Maybe this already exists and I just didn't see it, but I'm not sure why there isn't a sub forum for random trading of items for reptiles. I don't know if it's just the ball python forums, but lately I've seen 4 or 5 different people offering laptops, phones, and now even household appliances...

    Blister on ball python

We bought two little specter females (a little over 200g) a couple of weeks ago, and upon arrival both seemed very healthy. A few days after having them, we noticed that one had a small lump on the side of her neck that appeared to be just like a blister. We decided to monitor it for a few...

    Hey :)

While not technically new to the Fauna forums, I decided to stop looking over my girlfriend's shoulder and finally create my own account :P. My name is Nick Burgener and I'm originally from WI. After living in the miserably cold winters and nothing but cows and corn in the summer, I decided I...
