• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

What "should" eggs look and feel like at day 40-ish?

It's been a couple years and several species since I hatched a corn clutch, and the first one of mine personally. I forget what the eggs are supposed to "do" as they develop -- do they stay nice and firm like crestie eggs, or wrinkle like beardie eggs? I have 2 clutches in the incubator, at...

Second clutch, and should I be worried?

My second clutch (the two sunglow mots, het and poss het amel) didn't go quite as smoothly as the first one with my amel. I checked on Crush yesterday morning, because I saw eggs in the lay-box, through the plastic side. I popped open the lid, she slithered out, and... there were eight eggs in...

Good Guy Good guys! 29Snakes / Thomas & Jennifer Manfredi

I just made a local pick up of a gorgeous male pastel ball python from these folks. We chatted a bit while I made up my mind which of 2 males I wanted, and they're really sweet, friendly people, and they've got some NICE animals. Looking forward to dealing with them in the future. Thanks, guys! :)

Is this a weird normal, or what? (white scale "tipping")

This little guy came into the shop where I work, and he doens't look quite like any other corn I've ever seen. He's got white tipped scales in the middle of, and aroudn the edges of, his saddles like some amels have -- but he's darkly pigmented, and the saddles are clearly ringed in black. His...

    Longtime lurker...

Realized I never got around to introducing myself around here. I'm Diana and I live in Silicon Valley. Northern California folks, please answer a survey on pet stores!

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/6GD97R2 I'm in the very early stages of writing a business plan to open my own fish and reptile store. I'm trying to collect some data from local fish and reptile keepers on how the current stores serve, or fail to serve, the hobbyist needs. It's only 10...

Bad Guy Lisa Parks / Christian Cheo - CAMEROON SCAMMER targeting reptile buyers

The very short version: I tried to buy a gonatodes female from one Lisa Parks, and communicated with him for a week via email and phone about the animals. Friday morning, he had me send Western Union payment to him on the day she was to be shipped, I was told she was shipped, then got a “bait...

Good Guy Jen Boeke of JBsCresties.com

Jen is a really fantastic seller. I bought some cresties from her a few months ago, she held them for me until shipping weather, and they arrived two days ago. Jen was my first gecko-by-mail purchase, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. Throughout the process, she was excellent about...
