• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

One of the Coolest Books Ever

Hey Kids. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that most of you like to read. I'm going to go even further out on that limb and ASSume you like to read about animals. Now, before I totally fall off the poor limb I'm clinging to, I'm going to reckon that you like to and want to and wish...

My wheelchair-bound brothers phone was stolen. Revenge please

My brother is in a wheelchair. He can't walk on his own anymore. Some ...well, some wonderful person saw his phone sitting next to him, walked over and picked it up and then walked away with it. Nothing he could do. Pretty crappy thing to do if yo ask me. He's 200 miles away from me or I'd take...

    New CalKing Morph, the Kubota

I've never seen one like this before. Have you? He's got some siblings out of another mother, well, his grandfather is their father, and they have the same three rows of spots that are fairly circular. They have a bleeding of the black, almost like a wash, not nearly as clean as he is, but the...

    The stubenville fiasco

A friend of mine put this up over at BP.net which, while a fine site, is nowhere near as diversified and Fauna. The link is forever and after it is my response. Proceed as you will. Mods, I am sincere in this but if it's a no no, I understand it being removed...

Established users starting a business, your thoughts on posting ads in business name.

I have a question for you Faithful Fauna Readers. Suppose a couple of people who already have user names here get together and open a business specializing in reptiles. Now, neither of these people have any desire to do anything other than promote their new business by placing ads in the...

Ratamatic, a Brand New Reptile Store in Canoga Park, Ca.

Are you sick and tired of looking for a reputable reptile retailer? Are you bummed out by the sickening sights so often seen in your run of the mill non-reptile specialty type shops? Do you wish you could get a One Dollar Mouse? There is now, as of today, in the city of Canoga Park, a store...

What's the deal with Volleyball uniforms?

I'm not much of an olympics fan. The guys running it are thieves. However, I was trapped at an auto repair place this morning and they had the volleyball competitions on. How come the girls wear dental floss and postage stamps and the guys dress like the just left The Hood, often with baggies...

America! His name is Grant Cotting

I thought I had this here, on Fauna, already but I couldn't find it. I knew this kid, not well, but I did know him. I originally wrote this for another friend of mine who also knew Grant. She knew him well and his death was very hard on her. His death is tragic and sadly one of far too many...

    Don't Swans Mate for Life?

She closed the book, placed it on the table, and finally decided to walk through the door. The instructions had been clear and concise on pages yellowed with age and smudged by countless dirty fingers and thumbs. She wondered how many had made it through to the other side after reading it. 1...

    Hoping for Pirates

    Which Roach to Breed

I keep a few Leos and beardies, as well as a few other not very large lizards. I'm considering raising roaches for them. Crickets are just not what they used to be. The Old Lady and the Fiver

    FWCs doing the nasty

I don't get excited often by snakes breeding. It's too long from copulation to eggs to babies with far too many opportunities for catastrophic failure along the way. However, I did just witness my nicest female Super Hypo copulating with the most unusual male super hypo I've ever produced. When...
