In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Due to moving into an apartment that won't allow them, I'm offering a pair of unsexed adult smooth-sided toads (Rhaebo guttatus). These guys are available for pickup in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They're about a year and a half old, and the smaller of the two is missing several toes on his...

    Pink Lemonade Horned Frog?

Has anyone bought one of these so-called "pink lemonade" horned frogs from Underground Reptiles? They look really interesting, but I'm hesitant considering there are no other photos out there that I can find. Did anyone else take a chance on these?

lacertas, beef heart, and dog food

So the other day I fed my jeweled lacerta a small piece of frozen beef heart fish food out of curiosity, and I woke up the next morning to him following me back and forth in his tank waiting for more. I love him to death but unfortunately he's not super great at figuring out food is food until...

    Good Guy Jason Yanofsky

I bought an adult male jeweled lacerta from Jason a few months ago, and he went above and beyond shipping to me even though he had little experience shipping a reptile of that size. I super appreciated his communication as well as the fact he took a lot of personal time and trouble to hunt down...

    Jeweled Lacerta Breeding Pair Housing?

I understand it's possible to house a pair of jeweled lacerta in a large enough enclosure, but is this advisable? I've only found a line or two in various guides, but not a lot of detail on how this works if you actually do it. Is there a safe way to introduce an unrelated adult pair before...

Good Guy snakes at sunset, Michael Barrera

Just bought a yearling Samurai Blue pacman frog from Snakes at Sunset, and it's an absolute beauty. Arrived packed well and the animal looked clean and alert. Not really much to report, this was a very uneventful transaction which is how I like it.

Good Guy "Snared99" aka Pat Kline

I recently ordered a CB Cornuta and a High Red Ornate Pacman frog from Pat Kline. Babies are gorgeous and healthy with clear eyes, and were well packed with foam insulation, a heating pack and newspaper, in size-appropriate cups. He also delayed shipping until the weather on his end was...

    55 gallon suggestions

Hey all, I have an empty 55 gallon aquarium that I was thinking of converting into a planted tank. I thought it would be cool to put some kind of reptile in there as well, but I'm not sure what would be best suited. I figured I would mention it here, since it's fun to think about. Mostly I...

    stuck shed fatality

What's the likelihood of a young crested gecko dying from a stuck shed in less than a week? The breeder of my gecko claimed that it's abrupt death could be attributed to this, but I would like a second opinion. The image in which the reptile looks brown is the first picture, and the image in...
