In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

yes, I think that is what you said. Although I'm not sure why the confusion of shipping, since the only senario in which I would return the snake is if it was not the one I had originally ordered?

that was my fault, lol, I made the statement
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to arrive, but if it does (and it is as advertised) you are obligated to send payment promptly or return the snake
. The returning of the snake is certainly a viable option because by stopping payment you have essentially said that you don't want it anymore (even though the reason may have been that you were afraid of losing your money and not getting the snake). Once you cancel the sale, regardless of your rationale, it is reasonable to expect that you might return it. I didn't mean to rile things up.

You didn't rile things up at all. I did cancel the purchase and am still very glad I was able to. But if she is on the up and up, and was planning on sending the snake but couldn't due to a family emergency, I would still purchase it. I would send another money order overnight at my expense. It's the least I could do.

I guess a part of me is hoping that she is not a bad person and that maybe something did happen, and not so much because of the snake, but because it would be nice to not have been taken advantage of. I hate to think the worst of people all of the time. Although I'm not thinking this is the case.

Nope, she's rotten.
She completed ignored your question about the snakes being sold already.

I would point out in all the other cases the snakes were eventually sent. All of them were recent imports and male.

When she wrote this below to Sam on the 14th, your Money Order was already on the way to her.

Sam,
Yes these are your two females, just took the ad down cause you confirmed you were purchasesing them.
Please let me know when you mail it.
Thanks,Emily

She now has sold the snakes to three people. Regardless of anything else, this person is unethical and a proven Liar by the emails to Sam.

Lee,
A family emergency has just came up and I will get back to you on a shipping date shorlty.
Sorry,
Emily

Bull

Someone backed out of a deal due to a family emergency so I only .........
Thanks,Mandy

They just keep recycling the same lines over and over again.

No doubt stalling for time.

In this case it seems she was trying to scam you, plain and simple. Keep in mind though that some people will never consider a snake sold until the money shows up. They thus keep encouraging prospective buyers into sending them money until one does. They may then receive more than one payment, honor the first one to arrive and return the rest. Although this has happened in the past, some will just keep all the money, and disappear only to resurface under a different name later.

so THAT'S what I've been doing wrong...I shoulda been keeping the extra money. I knew there was a reason I wasn't getting rich in this hobby.

I would just like to add something.

Everyone seems to think she has not cashed the MO yet, but she more then likely has. I'm not sure how it is where she is or where you are, but here any check cashing store will cash a MO. I would think if she is still saying she will ship, she went to ace or amsott, or some place like that and cashed it.

Just something to think about.

Don't get me wrong, I very much think she is scamming me, and if she were to ship me a snake it most certainly would not be the one I ordered. Curious though, if she has or does cash that MO at one of those check cashing places, and it's bad, what happens then? I am not worried about myself, as my bank assured me that once I stop payment, if she cashes it, it will come back on her.

Lee,
I have never worked with a "check-cashing place", but have to believe with the exponential increase in fraudulent M.O.'s in the past decade that they have certain safeguards built in as well. Whether its an ability to run the routing numbers etc to be sure it is still a valid M.O., or a credit check etc on the cashing individual, or lock-in some other form of collateral, I doubt very highly that anyone with a D.L. can cash the instrument otherwise. But as you note, it is not on you or your bank.

Not too sure about that, but I would think if you went to the bank and put a stop payment, or what ever they call it your fine. I guess the place she cashed it at would have to go after her to get there money back, maybe get the cops into it, I really don't know how that would work. I don't think you would have anything to worry about though.

If you have allready gotten your money back, I would just e-mail her, tell her you got it, and not to cash the MO(if she said she already did, then let her know it was no good ) and tell her to keep the snake.

I don't think you have done anything wrong, but, and I could be wrong, If she were to still ship you the snake, before you tell her about the stop payment, she could then go to the law, and say you ripped her off. Bad check kind of thing, I know someone who had to put a stop payment on a check, but the other place had allready put it in there acct. He got charged with obtaining property with a worthless check. Not a big deal, he went to court, said his side, he was not put in jail or anything but he did have to pay court cost, fine, bounce fees, and make the check good. He also had to bail out the night he got arrested.

That is why I would e-mail her and let her know you put a stop payment, and why. That way if she does try anything you will have proof you told her BEFORE she shipped.

Dennise, Thanks for your help.......Sorry new on here full name Craig McMurtrie..........And yes she took me for the same Ball python add for $375 I have filed a local police report and a IFCC Complaint. After talking to the police yesterday it looks like she may get her day in jail soon looks like im not the first one she scammed. I will keep all updaited on this scum.
Thanks Craig McMurtrie

I had a fellow email me shortly after this thread and said that he lives several houses away from this address and that this house has been vacant for several years. Interesting. I still have never heard back from her.

Lee, That may be her boyfriend that emailed you. There is a phone # for that address in C Gajera's name........678-714-0040 when you ask for Emily Fegin they hang up and will not pick up again??? I did put this address on the western union check so i would hope they had ID with that address at time of chashing it.................Lee file a IFCC complant the more they get on her the more they will do. They can track her by her screename. :uzi:
Craig McMurtrie

The UPS tracking number does show that she signed Emily Fegin at that address.

If the scammers don't live at that address, they would have had to be watching the house closely for the delivery.
