In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A nice surprise!

Xavier , really ? LOL Wow, Im interested to know which is the best way allthough im doing my best to avoid anything related , at some point ,maybe only for one season , there will be the need .

Should probably start a thread somewhere and get some opinions on that

I have heard the same thing. If you think about it, it's true. When you get a baby, it contains 50% genes from the father and 50% genes from the mother. When you breed back to the father, you now have 75% genes from the father/grandfather and 25% genes from the grandmother. It can get even worse if you have inbreed for several generations. When you breed siblings together they will still have 50% from the grandfather and 50% from the grandmother.

That's why it's so common for line breed traits to go along the parent/offspring route. It's a faster way to see results, but must be outcrossed frequently in my opinion.

Very cool, Shelly! Steve @ Geckos, Etc. hatched a few Snow/Patts just like yours about a month or two ago. It was difficult for him to tell what they were at first, but sure 'nuff they are exactly that! Congratulations!!!

This is fun stuff for sure! Just goes to show you that no matter what you breed there can aways be a surprise right around the corner. I will breed her back to her father next season. And then there are even more choices to make when those babies hatch! Ahhhhh, lucky Steve! To have several to play around with! Steve - if you see this thread it would be great if you could post some update pictures of your pattie, it would be fun to watch the color change progression.

There are a lot of us playing around with these super snows, and trying to make new morphs. It would be great if all of those of us that come up with mack patties, and mack albinos, (or whatever else new) could do baby exchanges in order to introduce fresh blood - and yet keep the new morph dominant.

My Snow Patternless

Here are some photos of my snow patternless. So far I have hatched 2 males and 1 female. These are the two males shortly after they hatched two months ago.

I'll work on some new photos of them. Their juvenile patterns have faded considerably as you would expect, but they do have a a faint white dorsal stripe that you see on super snows.

Updated Mack Snow patternless photos

Here are some updated photos of my snow patternless. If you look closely you can still see the remnants of their juvenile patterning. Here are the two males:

Male #2 - This is the one that had more juvenile head patterning in the earlier photos.

Mack Snow Patternless Female

I also took pictures of the third one, and discovered...she has solid black eyes! All three are the product of breeding my snow male to normal females (I didn't know they were hets). So this snow patt is not a super, it is only expressing one copy of the snow gene. Check out that white dorsal stripe.

I think there are some surprises in store for us when we see the combination morphs that are possible with Mack snows. It is definitely an exciting time to be breeding leopard geckos!

Love the raspberry pic, Steve. Love all the pics, Steve and Shelly. You luckies!

It's all exciting and I can't wait till I start hatching some of my own. Can we please start calling them something besides "mack patties" tho? It makes me thing of (Mc) hamburgers.

Wow those sooo remid me as blizzards but maybe they will change :) This is a very neat project and it will be fun to see the super form of this!

 I have been laughing for about a month now about that......want to breed Trempers giant line into them just so I can advertise my Big Mack Pattie!!! Think how much fun the advertising would be!

Steve - I really appreciate you posting updated pictures of your patties! They do look a lot like Blazing Blizzards, but then what else could they look like? The solid black eye is awesome, I'm really surprised to see that surface outside of the super form. I can't imagine how the super form of a mack pattie would look. It's exiciting to see so many surprises pop up the 1st year these guys are out. The next couple of years will be amazing.

I've been thinking the same thing about the name...lol. Perhaps we call them "Mattie"? Or how about "Pack Snows"? I know....we'll call them "Snottie"!! HEEHEE...lord help us all if I ever create a new morph!

Wow , very interesting that the one has solid eyes !

Thanks for the update Steve, i had wondered how those were looking now.
