I have a big normal male. I used him this year to produce my normal x orange sandfire babies, and I just bred him to my citrus female to produce some more cross babies. I've been very pleased with the size and health of his babies. I held back his daughter last year (she is 1 year old now), who I will be breeding next spring. She is normal x orange sandfire/red. I also have 6 normal x orange sandfire holdbacks that I plan to keep as future breeders. They don't show great color - but I think their health more than makes up for their lack of "flashiness."

Great. The normals are georgeous. Color is beautiful of course, but sometimes we have gone too far to get color when it really is not necessary. I agree, the health is way more important.

Denise has said her dragons have tested negative at this time. A whole lot of information on the status of her colony has been posted more than any other breeder in the community.

So why are the other breeders not saying how there colony has tested? At this time? Is it because they are positive and know it?

Why not say hey my dragons have tested positive for Adeno Virus and at this time, they appear to be healthy? I would like to stay in touch with each of my known positive dragons owners as to the health and life of said dragon.

There are quite a few posts on this subject, so I just picked one to respond to so I didn't have to try to respond to all of them.
First, no one is dragging their feet on this, not everyone in the world is a beardie person, and the person who has my results wasn't even aware that this conversation was happening until just recently.
Second, its not so easy to get someone involved with this sort of thread as you might think particularly since for some reason people keep pushing the notion that I have never had a positive test come back. I have never claimed to test 100% negative, and anyone who has sat this conversation since the beginning knows that.
Third, contrary to what some people seem to think happens, most vets will not give out personal information about their clients and my vet has more reason than most to be suspicious of people calling her office asking about my test results.
Fourth, no way I will ever post a hard copy of my results to this forum. Unless you know how much harassment has taken place you might not understand this, but I'm not going to do anything that might make my vet or any other INNOCENT party the subject of another round of phone calls.
Last, since it took me a while to get in touch with the person who has my results, and since my vet will only verify them one of two ways, a) a signed release where she physically mails a copy of my results to the address I specify, and B) a phone call where I am present, its made getting the results verified difficult, particularly since we're working with 3 busy peoples schedules and one of them is not in the same time zone. It will happen though.
When it does, I can already tell you that since it is well known that I have had positive results, we already know how the next attack will come. How can I prove that the dragons that tested positive no longer live with me or even that the positive tests came from the dragons I say they did? How can I even prove that I have tested all of my dragons? As the kind man who has my results has pointed out to me, he hasn't be to my home, he can't truly verify anything except that the results he has say the same thing I have claimed for a long time, including how many positive tests I have had, and once he speaks to my vet he will be able to say that she says the same thing his copy of the results say.
At some point, people are going to have to figure out the obvious. I really have no reason to lie. I don't breed Beardies for a living, I just love them. I didn't know Vickie or have an axe to grind with her way back when this conversation first started, nor have I ever used my results to promote or sell my animals. With my clutches sold last year and the babies I have now that are already sold, ONLY one person has ever even ASKED about my results, and they were provided everything they asked for.
Sometimes I wonder why people don't ask themselves the obvious, why would I lie? What could my agenda possibly be that I would stick my name and reputation so far out for something not true? All the jokes about my trying to corner some market aside, what have I done that would indicate that I have any agenda other than I've already claimed?
Believe it or not, there has been a way for people to verify my results all on their own on another thread for quite some time. I didn't put the information out there, someone else did, but its there. Now, you're figure that anyone THAT interested in knowing what my results are would have followed up on it, but last I heard that hasn't happened.
I've said for a while now that this has never been about my results, and its still not about them. It wouldn't matter if GOD himself verified my results, it'll just change the direction of the attack. That's what happened on the BOI, that's what will happen here. If it can't be the tests themselves, then it'll be about my vets honesty, the tests reliability, how many dragons I have in my colony and how I prove that, who has the positive dragons and how I go about proving that. Its ridiculous, but true.

Except that if you READ the responses you can see that she only has 11 of them ( at that point in time) at breeding age. Certainly dosnt sound like shes LIVING off of those 11 animals. I think it was more or less just a saying for her hobby. I definitely dont think she meant it in the literal sense of things.

Besides, havent you ever heard to take things you read online with a grain of salt? Leave room for a little human error... cause somtimes, people just type what comes into their heads at that moment in time.

ROFLMAO! Thanks for proving my point about how far the stalking on this issue has gone. That blog site is a COMMUNITY site and most of the people on that site KNOW me. The blog started out as a JOKE because so many people have asked me what a bearded dragon is, but unless you're familiar with the site you wouldn't have any reason to know that right?
If you actually read it, you would have seen that I also talk about the 11 dragons I own there, and admit freely that it isn't actually what I do for a "living" , but yes, as anyone who knows me will tell you, I do pay my taxes on every dime of income they generate.
Just to save you stalkers some time and energy, I've also talked about my beardies on Myspace and on the bearded dragon forum there. You won't find the blog on the community website any longer, I deleted it to keep my friends and neighbors from being harassed.
