Due to divorce, I have an Alligator Snapper and a Common Snapper for sale, and a 200 gallon acrylic aquarium.
The Alligator Snapper is a 7 inch carapace length female now 4 years old purchased from John Richards and Loggerhead Farms. I would like to get $200 for her and have her go to a good home. She exhibits no ill health and is active and typical for the species. She shares a split 200 gallon tank.
My Common was set to be released in May 2020 here in Iowa and will be 7 years old. He is about 7-8 inches, super fat and desirable orange pattern Common that was a highway rescue at quarter length size. I would like $50 for him, and same conditions - need to go to a good solid herpetologist collector.
The tank is not likely to get much traction but was purchased precisely for my Alligator Snappers growth. I have a total of 5 filters, 2 of the German expensive heaters and at least 250 pounds of sand and rock in there.
I have $1500 in the tank and am getting no interest on Craigs List. Comes with a serious 2 x 6 framed oak base - set up for fish with the middle for filter but would be fine for up to a 30 to 35 pound Alligator Snapper with shell length in the 20 to 25 inch range. Alligator Snappers take a lot less water than Commons.
My Common is a beautiful orange pattern turtle and easily worth what I am asking. I just need to get these turtles new homes so I can sell, give away or dismantle / cut up the $3500 original price aquarium and $500 custom fit oak stand and all accessories. Call Bryan with interest at 515-201-8490 or email at [email protected]
