Actually, I just ran across this VERY rough draft of the Share the Beach Doc. I didn't even know this had survived. It will be much better when it gets to the dvd, but tell me that Mike Reynolds isn't your hero when you watch this! ...not to mention Mrs. Randal's class. the future of conservation!

Honestly Dan, this is where your post should have started and ended because that is what it is really about. Instead, you and Justin make long, drawn out post that have nothing to do with anything. Pointing out what you do "good" does not take away from the crappy stuff you did and continue to do.

The long drawn out smoke screen you and Justin have compiled is scammer defense 101. Your "educational" videos and you "helping the children" has nothing to do with what is going on here. Justins dealings with other breeders has nothing to do with me, you, alterna rush, or you selling his snakes.

Lets stick to the facts. And that is your shady behavior. Stop with the smoke screen tactics and trying to burry your response with crap that is neither here nor there.

This whole thread is exhausting..

I started and run one of the most successful hognose related pages on Facebook.
The page was growing so rapidly that it was hard keeping it up by myself so I enlisted Dan Krull to be an admin.

The minute I did this Gregg Madden and a few of his buddies started harassing Dan. Swearing, slandering, Dan and disrupting the peaceful environment I created and the members were enjoying.

I repeatedly asked him to edit and adhere to the rules and he did not So I deleted it all, and banned he and his troublemaker buddies. I don't know Greg but since I removed him, the page has grown by thousands. And has never again had an issue with infighting or members being disrespectful to each-other.

We have almost 2800 members all learning and sharing info about hognose snakes with each-other, all without incident since Greg and his friends were banned.

This is sad when someone that hasn't done any business with someone and comes here to stir the pot and start a flame war. I'll just give people my experience with Dan Krull. Last year I was looking to get back into the hobby and decided I wanted to get back to the hogs I love. I found a breeder that had some for sale I don't remember his last name but his first was David. Unfortunately he sold what I was looking for and told me Dan might still have some available and vouch for Dan. I contacted Dan and noticed where he lived and since I was going to a vacation in MO I asked him if my fiance and I could come look at them. He didn't have a prob with that and told me about another breeder in the area that might have a few hogs I would want as well which is Court Gaverth. So we started to talk and all decided to meet and since Court lived closer to Columbia were we were he offered to let us all meet at his house. We meet up with Dan and Court and Dan showed me some Lemon Ghost Hognose he told me Mark McMullen produced them. He was upfront right away that he did not produce them. We wound up purchasing a 1.2 Lemon Ghost from Dan and a 1.1 Cascade Greens from Court. They all were very healthy and thriving today. I've had numerous conversations with Dan since and he has always been very straight forward and upfront with me with every question I have ask. I have since purchase a very nice Red Female conda from him as well.

Gregg I think It's obvious that you have run out of credibility.. you ask Dan all these questions and when He takes time to answer every question thrown his way.. instead of offering an intelligent reply you dismiss the entirety of it all. That's very low brow.

I can definitely see that Chris... so many customers of mine are sick to death of the fights started on the forums and the way he and his friends.. especially Joe treat others. They live in a tiny little bubble unaware of the silent majority... But hey I'm not going to complain too much.. lots of free advertising I get from those guys!!

Chris, I'm surprised that you would outright lie about this. The real truth about Gregg and several other people getting banned was that once Dan Krull became an admin on your group, he started hijacking threads by posting highly questionable things on specific threads and when all of the garbage he was spouting off was ultimately debunked, he systematically started deleting entire threads to save face and then turned around and lied about it saying that he didn't delete anything but then later admitting that he did in fact delete threads and wouldn't do it again but did anyways. But after 4 or 5 threads were deleted one after another, this caused a huge rift with a certain amount of people who became understandably angry and voiced their concerns over Dan's censorship, coverups and lies in the group. Dan replied by banning dozens of people he perceived as threats to his credibility within the group and blocking many others from even seeing his posts. As you very well know, the group was entirely peaceful and informative before Dan became an admin there and only after he became an admin and abused his power in the group did things become heated and people started getting banned and blocked.

I was even one of the people that Dan preemptively blocked even though I hadn't addressed any of his nonsense that he ultimately deleted, but he obviously perceived me as a potential future threat and blocked me anyways which no longer allowed me to view anything that we was saying within the group which is very shady for any admin to do if there is to be honest transparency. I even wrote to you my concerns before I voluntarily left and you chose to completely ignore anything I had written to you which shows to me, coupled with your lying here about what really happened, the true character and nature of some of the people that are only now rallying around Dan after he is once again being exposed for questionable, if not fraudulent, behavior.

Oh, and to claim that "since I removed him, the page has grown by thousands." is another grossly exaggerated lie. If memory serves, when the mass bannings started taking place (which I believe was the end of July or beginning of August), the group was at around 2800 members and then sometime around October had built up to around 3000 members but now it's down to a little more than 2700 members. What you are claiming is that the group was only about 800 members prior to Gregg being banned and then exploded to 2800 members right after. Yeah right! So, what happened to the 300 members that have since left your group within the last month or so? Now I know why you are so closely tied to Dan, you both apparently are prone to confabulation.

My dealings with Dan Krull have been very positive. I find him to have a nature that is helpful and giving. As a certified Master Naturalist Volunteer, I appreciate Dan Krull volunteering his time as an instructor for the Missouri Master Naturalist program. And doing so for no pay. There has simply been countless times Dan has volunteered himself as a speaker and presenter for important non profit conservation programs. You probably won't hear about this because programs like the Master Naturalist and others are low profile. They are important none the less.

He has also spent time, energy, and talent on several video projects. I know he linked a couple, but there are more. A couple he did not mention is when he selflessly produced 2 add type videos to promote products for JKR gear. He never asked to be paid for these.

Now, has Mr. Krull made the best decisions around money? Maybe not when you start looking at all the work he has done for free. If I told him to start charging for some of his work, it would likely fall on deaf ears. But...painting the man as evil simply does not fit his character.

I recently inquired about a hog from Dan. When we spoke he passionately told me a story about who produced the father of the hog I wanted. What I cared about was making sure it was eating frozen thawed, and although I don't remember the story he told...it was fun hearing his excitement about the animal.

Like I said before, the good stuff he may or may not do does not excuse Dans shady business practices. It does not cancel out him being less than honest by misleading people and withholding important information. He did admit to this himself. For that I do respect the man a bit more for owning up to things he has actively denied and swept under the rug. But it is the other junk in his replies that are odd. He dances around the questions and says he may have sold animals and misrepresented them by mistake and so on.

I find it shameful that I have to come to the defense I such a great guy and amazing hognose breeder! I fell in love with a gorgeous lemon ghost x watermelon hognose that I found on Dan's website, I contacted him and he not only told me the full gentic history of the snake as well as it's disposition. During our conversation about te snake Dan told me that it was the product of a breeding collaboration with one of his friends and that he was excited about this particular snake as of the project from which it came! Dan never hid anything from me during the sale and made it perfectly clear that I was purchasing an animal that he and his friend Mark McMullen produced! Since then not only has Dan answered any questions I have had, but has made himself available to me fr help whenever I need it and I he even bought many more snakes from him! Dan is not only trustworthy he is an amazingly honest and had become a great new friend!

Hi Gregg,
I did not include the numerous links in your quote above because they seem irrelevant. Dan (and possibly you and others early in this conversation; I'm late to the party, lol) already provided most of those links.

Dan also did provide an explanation of the projects he was working on in his most recent posts, the links to which you just posted, which is not new nor particularly inflammatory.

What else you got?

Whew, that was exhausting.

I have known Dan as a good friend for a number of years. I only wish I could work with him more, but alas we are limited by distance.
When I first met Dan as a budding scientist and herpetoculturist I was extremely impressed with his knowledge, attitude, and character. I have hung around his tables at previous shows and am always impressed by just how honest and helpful he is. One of the best costumer service individuals I have met, and I have met quite a few in my previous line of work.

Dan has offered me advice and knowledge in genetics, phylogenetics, field herpetology, and species identification. I personally would recommend him for purchasing hognosed snakes in a heartbeat.

Throughout reading every single word on this thread it felt very biased. I have yet to see someone actually negatively affected by Dan's previous financials come forward. All "proof" provided has been very out of context (as well as his quotes). I have never heard a complaint about Dan's business in the past. Sure there are people that don't get along with him, I'm sure, as is true for everyone ever to go on a forum.

I think Dan's extensive post addressing each question in detail indicates his honest character and willingness to try to work with anyone who has questions or concerns - while addressing them professionally and with evidence where applicable. He says "he has screwed up" to indicate he is only human. We all make mistakes and learn from them. Then he continues on to explain how in this case, he, to the best of his knowledge, did everything in his power to make things right and be the best he can be.

If anyone comes forward with business history with Dan that has a concern, I do not doubt for a moment he would attempt to work with them. (He has also stated this previously). All of my business with him has been nothing short of exceptional.

This is the impression that I am, now, getting as well. Not only due to the "one line taken out of context" but also other post/s.
Is there anything substantial/concrete/factual that can be provided, by you, Gregg?
Something that is not subject to individual interpretation, or of partial "evidence", or based on assumptions?
Without concrete facts, and hard proof, it is difficult to not take things with a grain of salt.
