In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Amanda & Mike Webb of The Pet Gecko

Because it's all about the money to some ppl. Anyone who tries to get out of a simple refund proves it's the only thing they care about. I've heard other stories of other breeders that refuse replacement or refund on DOA shipments and so forth and it just tells me who not to ever buy from cuz it's all about the money to them.

It's a real shame. A friend of mine bought from them a few years back -no crypto- and they were wonderful and pleasant. The gecko himself is fine and dandy. I wonder if something happened for their business etiquette to go down so badly like this.

There has been a lot of talk about them in the past. They've obviously had good transactions or they wouldn't be around still. But they've also had bad stuff that they just ignore.

I had a short encounter with Amanda Webb today.

She posted animals for sale in a Facebook group (West Texas Herps), which I am an administrator in. I replied, also providing a link to this thread. I do have to say, I was quite amused by the speed in which she blocked me. I did manage to get a screenshot of the incident before she removed it though.

Another administrator is engaging her in conversation through another post in that group. I'll also include a screenshot of her response.

For those who aren't aware, even when a fecal sample is sent off for testing by a vet 99.9% of the time that sample is collected AT HOME, brought to the vet, and then shipped to a testing facility. The only difference in how the OP tested was that she skipped going to the vet's office with the sample and shipped it to a reputable facility herself (the same one I use for my rescue and the same one that Dr. Adamski at the New England Wildlife Center approved of me using when I tested one of my rescues for Crypto). So, Amanda's argument that because the OP didn't go to a vet's office to send the sample out is just absurd.

I agree that Amanda is in denial and really, really stretching to try to justify her and her husband's horrific handling of this entire ordeal.

Amanda Webb does in fact seem like the type of person to try to lie her way out of anything, so does her husband.

It's so sad. these are the type of people that should consider another hobby, business in their case. that way the reptiles wont suffer in their care.:(

I think it's almost funny that Amanda says "what if there was a mix up". Since that gecko was the only one showing any symptoms and all the other geckos are still healthy, how can she even think that's possible. Also, Angela retested. Avian also tested the crypto positive one twice to be sure.

No vet that I know of actually does the testing there. They send the same samples the same way to a lab to do them. These samples are taken with a clean swab and then sealed in a labeled bag. Each sample has a number on it and you write in the animals name and species. Then you copy that info to an order form. So each number with name is in two separate places.

Hey Amanda, what about the other one (at least) crypto positive animal you sold. Was that one a mix up, too?

Seriously LOL you are amusing.

Why would you even bother posting something off topic. This has nothing to do with Ed and his post was true. Amanda and her husband both lie and take crappy care of their animals. Whatever Ed has or hasn't done in the past has nothing to do with this thread.

Amanda, I'm still waiting to hear about the other crypto positive gecko you sold around that same time. Was that a mix up, too?

I'm going to have to disagree with you.

These are the type of people that should not be in ANY sort of business.

Wow. I was just poking around the BOI and came across this thread. I have purchased two animals from the Webbs, a hedgehog and a crested gecko. Both were healthy and I've since sold the crestie as he didn't fit into my projects. I've never purchased a leopard gecko from them.

I had met them a couple of times in Oklahoma before they moved up to Colorado.

The vindictive side they've displayed here was something I hadn't seen before. I do know that they deal in several different species of exotic animals -- birds, mammals, and reptiles -- not just leopard geckos.

After those name-calling responses from Mike and other unprofessional behavior displayed here, I will never consider buying any animal from them again.

It's been over 8 months since this started, almost 9. I have had no contact from the Webbs or anyone representing The Pet Gecko since I last posted here. (Fortunately, that means no defamation lawsuit, as was originally threatened.)

Since then, there has been no resolution. I have received no apologies for Mike's horrific customer service. There has been no follow-through (by either Mike or Amanda) when it comes to providing solid proof of their supposedly clean test results. Nothing. *That*, folks, is the value of their word.

They may think this has just gone away, and for some people, maybe it has. But *I* will not.

I reiterate that I would never recommend anyone do business with Amanda Webb or Mike Webb of The Pet Gecko.

I appreciate the update Angela. I try to share this on my page from time to time just to make sure it gets notice. I'm sure I'll be doing that again soon.

You will not see any follow up from Mike or Amanda with test results. they have clearly shown how they deal with problems.

It has not gone away, this thread is here for all to view forever.

I think most of us agree that doing business with Mike or Amanda Webb is a bad idea.

Wow this was a lot to read.. but thank you Angela for postensibly this.. it ho espy makes me want to test my whole collection just to be safe. The fact that they are still in all the leopard gecko groups I frequent scares me. This situation needs to be posted everywhere for everyone to see so people stop buying from them.. maybe that would open their eyes to how urgent this really is. No one who cares about their reputation and the animals would not sweep this under the carpet the way Mike and Amanda have. I have unlike their page and added them to my never do business with list. Has anyone sent a link to this to the admins of all the animal related groups they are in? If not I think someone should.
