Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

She wasn't silent on her facebook page when this was happening (her personal page). I unfriended her, so I can no longer see what she posts, but she openly posted negatively about Angela and this situation there.
 
I didnt notice her saying anything on her personal page, but if she did she deleted it because nothing is there now. Does she even have an account here?

This was when it first happened. I don't doubt that she deleted it. But I read it there while I was still "friends" with her.
 
Sam, if you will go back and read post 5 in this thread, Amanda clearly stated that she had tested ALL her gecko's. Mike came later and said he could not afford to test all of them. One of them is clearly lying. Do you condone lying to a customer?

So basically if this was impacting you personally you would be in favor of the testing. Since it's somebody else suffering, you're fine with the sellers indefinitely putting off the testing.

It's been shown that they have sold sick animals in the past, but that doesn't matter because there's no proof it was crypto?

Mike might be a bad guy, but it doesn't matter because his wife is really the owner of the business?

Meow, what i said was that if was effecting me then that would be 1 more person who got a gecko with crypto from the webbs. As it is there has only be 1 confirmed gecko with crypto. I actually posted that I was in favor of random testing and said it should have been done (if it wasnt). It has been shown that Mike has sold sick reptiles in the past, but so far not much has been said at all about Amanda. And she is the person everyone buying geckos from The Pet Gecko is dealing with. If your going to quote me then at least read everything I posted first. And David, I read that too, but it sounds more like there was some misunderstanding about what she said. When she said she tested all the geckos it sounds like she meant the random testing Mike later said. It sounds more like a misunderstanding to me. She said she tested her geckos and if they did the random testing then technically they did test the geckos.

Read it again, She stated that she tested "all" her geckos. How does that equate to random. You are really grasping at straws here. If I agree to sell you all my geckos for ten thousand dollars and than show up at the sale with a random sample of them will you be happy?

I believe i posted directly under that I was excluding this thread and the 1 FB post. And I believe Amanda meant to say she tested her geckos, and just put the word 'all' in there. Im not grasping at straws, but your nitpicking like crazy :). As I said, ill give them about a week to post their evidence before I change my good opinion about them simply because I had a good experience with them. The rest of you have never had any business with them so you really have no room to make any judgments about them. The buyer of this thread does though.

Normally I don't speak up on BOIs that don't directly effect me because I'm a little baby newbie in the reptile world and you learn more by listening (in this case reading) than you do by flapping your gums (flailing your fingers). This uh... isn't the case here. I just gotta open my big mouth.

This couple, who are in business together, clearly sell sick animals. Sam, if you actually had an interaction with them and it went well and you have healthy animals, that's wonderful. I may even believe you're in the majority simply because of the huge mass of animals Mike and Amanda seem to produce and sell.

That doesn't make the sick animals right, it doesn't take care of the fact that Mike is an abominable business person and it doesn't fix the situation that a crypto positive animal was in their collection. Even if a negative report showed up at this point I'd question it's authenticity. Like Lucille said, it takes two seconds to take a picture of a piece of paper with a phone. We are long, long past the days where you have to take a picture to a Kinkos and beg them to scan it to your email. And Photoshop (and similar programs) make it very easy to fake documents.

But beyond the terror of crypto being spread by someone with a quadrillion animals to sell (which should be enough to put anybody off of buying from these people forever), Mike's customer service was an incredible read. My husband would never, ever pull something like that- public or private and on the 0.0000001% chance he so much as phrased something rudely I'd be mortified and leap into the thread to apologize profusely. I don't have any problem with cussing or whatever, but treating a customer and a fellow hobbyist like this is insane.

That all said; Sam, I find it amusing that you type in the same fashion that Mike does. :)

We have every right to make judgments based on their customer service, their care for their animals, the way they conduct themselves when being politely questioned about an accusation and the way they've shown their :censored: on here and elsewhere. Just because you aren't in a landfill doesn't mean you can't smell the stank a mile away.
 
I dont think I type in the same fashion, I tend not to curse :). The negative threads on Mike should have no place here since this is a thread on The Pet Gecko and Amanda Webb. The buyer bought nothing from Mike Webb and did not deal with Mike Webb. Now if you find something negative about Amanda Webb id love to read it and adjust my opinions accordingly. And im not sure what tracing my IP would prove but have at it if you think im a fake person or whatever it is you believe :)
 
Sam, I really appreciated your first few posts but it now seems almost like you are trolling.

They said they had negative tests in February. It's April. I am as qualified as you are to interpret that information. I believe, based on the information the Webbs have posted, that they lack integrity and are lying. I don't have to have purchased an animal from them to make my own decision and share my opinions.
