• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Amanda Thomas--has my gecko and money, no response

That "I am going to Mexico for 7 Months" thing was a silly thing that went around on Facebook for a while. The country and the length of time are determined by the person's birthdate. Sort of like the colored bra thing that went around.

Agreed. She's not going anywhere.

Like Samantha stated, she's announcing that her birthday is January 7th. Why?

It's supposed to be a super secret important message for breast cancer awareness but I can't see where there is any "awareness" passed along in a misleading statement nor where any breast cancer patient /treatment center /research center or organization benefits. :shrug01:

Several weeks ago I called the police department in Falkville, and explained the situation to an officer there and sent him links to all the information on this web site. I also sent him a link to her web site, since it had a picture of her on it and he wanted that.

He went to see her, and she is just fine, living in an apartment with a lot of geckos. He told her if she had some business regarding those geckos he recommends she take care of it. He also told her he was reporting the situation to the health department since she has a lot of them in there and is breeding and selling without a license. She took down her web site after this.

I can’t say any more because of pending litigation against her. Seri, if you would like to know more about legal forms, you’re welcome to e-mail me.

I should probably add that eve though I contacted the officer several weeks back, I wasn't able to get in contact with him again until just an hour or so ago.

lol i highly doubt this is true, why because they don't send officers over to some ones house with out legal documents

also a license to breed and sell geckos?lol.some one needs to tell this officer to get his facts right.

Varies state to state, but most states DO require you have a valid seller's permit to regularly sell *anything*, including geckos. So get YOUR facts straight.

in her state she don't need a license, fact is no one is getting there money back so why is this thread on and going thread when obviously the seller isn't responding?

it is your fault for not doing pp claim or cc claim in x time to get your money back

Blame the victims. SUPER classy.

not at all but common sense will tell some one if they are not getting any response/help or see no package from a buyer in x amount of time or close to 45 days file a paypal claim asap!

There are often times that a buyer may have to wait for two+ months for the weather to be good enough for shipping. You can't always count on being able to file a paypal claim.

which i understand but at the same time tho it offers no protection to the buyer at all and all the benefits to the seller, people really need to find a new way to protect a seller if they are holding there reptiles for x amount of time, because they can royally be screwed at the end.

i have seen it numerous of times on this site because the user did went past the 45 day paypal limit to file a claim

I agree, but there are no foolproof ways to pay that will get your money back 100% of the time (maybe a credit card?). If there were, there wouldn't be tons of people on this website waiting on money they will never see back. I use paypal because it's easy, instant, and I've never had any issues.

even credit card has a cut off time to do a charge back, some times 30-60 days depending on who you bank with.

I would go ahead and file on the last day if I did not know the seller. I probably wouldn't buy a critter I had to wait two months to get from someone I did not know, though.
