In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sold me a high price GTP stated it was eating regularly. After keeping the snake for 2 months it barley took 2 very small meals so i notified him and he said this

I sure can replace it if you want it, just had another clutch from the same parents, red news like him. It would just take a little time because as you know, they don't eat right away. Don't worry, I'm here to help and make sure you are successful
If comes to, I will replace it, you have my word.
So i returned snake and now he says this

You can show your attorney that my offer to replace the snake was if it didn't eat. By your own admission it did more than once and you did not follow my instructions, making the offer null and void.
Don not buy a snake from him. He has the snake he sold me back and my 2000. Refusing to exchange or refund

Andre Mondin beware of him

Can you post copies of the correspondence between the two of you?

Also how did you pay?

I paid through paypal. Notified him about the snake not eating which he said at sale.
His direct responses

Russell,

Andre is a well respected member of the California herp scene.

He reached out for assistance on how best to handle the situation with you to a few people here when it first began.

It's been crystal clear from the gates that you are that once in a blue moon nightmare customer who has no business owning animals, and is accustomed to tantruming their way through life.

I will make a few statements on what I know.

1.) Trying to get a snake (particularly a chondro)to eat the day of arrival and every subsequent day is going to stress an animal.

2.) This was a well started animal not a neonate. It had a history of eating in other words.

3.) The snake fed for you.

4.) You ignored all of Andres advice, failed to follow even the most basic instructions and were belligerent and rude throughout the entire process.

Full screen shots of the entire dialogue would be great to see, because they do not paint you in a good light.

Well i have about 8 chondros all eating well and accustomed to my collection any where from 4 years ago to the last 6 months. As for tantruming my way through i have worked very hard for the money i earn and nobody has the right to keep it. So to better under stand the situation this was my post on forum on facebook. As you can imagine very different from his story. Also are you advocating taking a customers money and snake in return therefore stiffing the customer

There was a post about me this morning by Andre Mondin stating beware of buyer. I know people on this forum that notified me it was made. I did purchase a blue line gtp advertised on kingsnake by him in Sep 2017. I asked him upfront if the snake was eating well and he said it was. Over the next 2 months the snake was not eating well and i did notify him many times. His responses were as follows
I sure can replace it if you want it, just had another clutch from the same parents, red news like him. It would just take a little time because as you know, they don't eat right away. Don't worry, I'm here to help and make sure you are successful

Those are his DIRECT responses. He gave me his address and stopped communicating. I finally sent the snake back in the same container with cyprus mulch and moss. He acknowledges in better shape then sent. I emailed him tracking info so it was no surprise. It was not a good eater as indicated by him before the sale. I was thinking he would keep his word as he stated. Instead he hid behind his emails and i was forced to message his work partner and called him at his job because now he has the snake and the money and not communicating. I finally got this response
You can show your attorney that my offer to replace the snake was if it didn't eat. By your own admission it did more than once and you did not follow my instructions, making the offer null and void
It really is beware of seller not buyer. He writes a post about me while he has the snake in admitted better condition and my $2000.
Please let him know that is not right.

Look at posts on morelia viridis facebook forum. His then mine and if you feel as if he has the right to take a snake back keep the money for it then God Bless you

Please post actual texts/emails on the BOI, as well as proof of payment. And if you have it, the original ad.
There must quite a bit going on, for you to have no snake and no refund.

Yeah, same here, the first 4 month was a full time job. I hatched at the same time GTP, hognose and stimson's python, it drove me nuts, all problem eaters. The good thing about them is, once they have a first meal, they will never refuse again. As ball pythons for example, eat great at first, and then, go off food for a year. This guy is doing great, eats F/T fuzzy.

Hey Russell, honestly, I think you should give it 2 weeks. You have been trying too hard to get him to eat. Adding to the stress of being shipped, shedding and acclamation, it could be a little too much to ask.
I would just leave him alone for 2 weeks before trying again. He is a healthy snake. GTPs, ball pythons, rosy boas, hognose among others, all go through this. Sometimes they go for month without food, not because their sick, but because its what they do. He won't die because of a few weeks.
In 2 weeks, offer him a F/T fuzzy, start by rubbing on his tail to get his attention, then rub on his neck, right behind the jaw line, and under his chin. Do it for a couple of minutes. If he doesn't take, go away and come back few hours later(since they are nocturnal, do it at night)
Sometimes it takes some extra time for them to acclimate.
If comes to, I will replace it, you have my word, but you have to give him a chance

Sorry to hear that, like I said, he always ate well here, otherwise I wouldn't sell it. I never fed live, always F/T rubbing on the side of his neck, and just like your first time, he would either grab it or wrap around it. Usually I wait 2 to 3 days after they shed to feed, every time I tried the very next day, they refused it. I wouldn't spend it 3 hours trying. The few times he gave me a hard time I offered, he didn't take it, I would just try later again and he would take it.
I sure can replace it if you want it, just had another clutch from the same parents, red news like him. It would just take a little time because as you know, they don't eat right away. Don't worry, I'm here to help and make sure you are successful
One more thing, i don't what your schedule is exactly, but from your emails, it seems to me you are pushing to hard, try to give him a couple of days between the feedings.
If you want to try live, i would put the fuzzy inside a deli cup, so is contained instead of running around and most likely going under the paper towel.
He is a healthy snake, is taking a little time to settle down on his new environment
Let me know

Russell, can you post screen shots of the emails, all of them. If you do not, I am thinking the seller may go ahead and post them himself. Have you notified him of this thread?

Hi Russell, I take paypal and your terms works just fine. You can send the deposit now and rest later.
My paypal is: [email protected]
Please choose the option "friends and family" so neither of us pays any extra fee
Thanks
Andre

Interested in the blue line red neo you have listed on kingsnake. Do you have a pic of the parents?
Russell

I have notified Andre of this thread using the email in your posts.

Never ever use Friends and Family for PayPal as you have no recourse if the deal goes south as yours did. Also YOU do not pay the fees, the seller does.

If you backed your payment up with a credit card as opposed to your checking account or deposited PayPal funds you can try disputing the charge with your credit card company if you have proof that the snake was shipped back.

It would be helpful if you would post screen shots of the communication.

It sounds as though you had the snake for two months and it ate twice? You weren't satisfied with that so you sent it back, without the seller agreeing to that. It's not really right that the seller would keep the $2000 and the snake, I agree. However, if he didn't agree to a return and refund then you created that situation by sending the snake back. I'm not sure what the solution is if a seller says no, but a buyer sends the snake back anyway.

I do agree that the friends and family is not right and I don't think he should have asked you to send it that way to cheat PP of their fee.

We obviously are not aware of the complete facts in this case as of yet but it seems there is a lot more to it.
HOWEVER there is no way any seller can expect to keep 2000 AND the snake, personally I would already be on a plane to sort this one out!
If the returned snake is the same one he sent and is alive , healthy and eating then the only right thing to do is send a full refund instantly or despite the circumstances he could very well end up owning that bad guy title indeed!
