    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Andrew Hermes of Arizona Tortoise Compound

It's not his fault. This guy failed to pick his tortoise up on the day of delivery. He waited til the second day and then let it ride in a truck all day. It's not the sellers responsibly to replace an animal when the buyer fails to get his animal on time. And I paid full price for my animal. And this dude was in good shape. As for all the others this guy has shipped.

Cuz. I met you a couple years ago and right off the bat . You had a bad attitude and a loud mouth. I sell high end reptiles my self and I've dealt with guys like Erik. They don't wanna take responsibility for their neglect. Well bring the amount owed. If this guy was in the right. Why hasn't it been to court. And for the simple fact that he wanted to be lazy n not pick his package up on time he's not due a refund. And he requested the packing as it was. That's his fault. Not the sellars.

Sir obviously you don't know nor have ever done business with me I have been disabled for over 10 years and rarely make it outside of my house due to mobility. I have made a single purchase of reptiles in 12 years sir, and it was not through you. That being said sir you obviously are mistaken regarding me. Also for your information the few people who know me know I ended up disabled saving the lives of other's, and sir I can assure you I have never met nor attempted to do business with you.

Right now if you're a intelligent man which you appear to be you should feel pretty stupid about now. Simply sir don't think you know someone because the name seems familiar. The comments about I had a loud mouth and bad attitude are unjustified. As you, and I have had no prior communication with each other ever prior to this thread.

The tortoise was to be delivered to the op, not picked up by the op. Not everyone can take off work to go pick up an animal. This was neither person's fault but a good seller/trader would take care of it.

As far as I have a bad rep.I don't do business any longer have never been in the business of buying nor selling animals. The business I was in had nothing at all to do with animals. Simply sir you're accusations are that accusations without a shred of evidence. The fact is still the same I have never had any communication with you prior to this thread. You're attempts at slandering me is ignorance sir.
 
True Bobby. The thing is he offered to settle it. Even though it wasn't his fault . It was the mail carriers fault for repackaging the animal with out contactING the seller about the incident. But the buyer should not have requested the box packaging instead of the rubbermaid container. Plus. The buyer did not pick his animal up on the first try. That's on him bro
 
It's been almost a year since I read the thread but I believe the original shipping delay was the fault of the courier. This alone relieves ATC from responsibility as per their TOS. As a result of the delay the package began to leak from the tort releasing bowels. The leak caused UPS to put the package into an air tight plastic bag thus sealing the tortoise's fate.

If the tort was packaged properly there should never have been a leak which would have prevented the death-in-a-bag outcome. Maybe ATC can get out of responsibility because of their TOS but that doesn't excuse their packaging practices which are the reason the tortoise died.
