Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Andy Jones, The Pied Python BEWARE

Interestingly, he is still actively posting animlas for sale. Yesterday he posted some $CHEAP$ carpet pythons on kingsnake.

If there is a reasonable explanation for all of this, there is no reason why he should not be selling.
I hope that he posts here, I am interested in his viewpoint.

Knox have you called his wifes place of employment and asked to speak to her? You keep reposting the same address... Can you post a pic of the address you put on the box you were sending.
Has anyone else tried to contact Andy Jones to tell him about the boi, I find it odd he hasn't responded on this forum or has he contacted you again?

The most important question is this: did your snakes arrive back to you this morning, and did they make the trip??

He posted a picture of the shipping receipt, which would contain the same information as the shipping label -- and it matches the info from the email.

I don't really understand why everyone is so on the OP's case about calling to confirm the address; he shipped to the right location, both the shipping company and the third-party label seller confirmed that the package was undeliverable. Looks to me he did everything correctly and got some really mite-ridden snakes in terrible condition for his troubles.

I just had a long conversation with Andy. He verified the address and told me that he has been doing business in reptiles for 30 years, and that he has had many shipments successfully sent to that address.
I have encouraged him to read this thread, it will be a little bit as he was on the road when we spoke.

because I think OP jumped the gun and is posting his side only. Also not that I know if it makes any difference but the label says delivery residence, clearly Andy said it is his wifes work. That may mean nothing just throwing it out there.

They did arrive back this morning and the Ivory is fine per my wife, the pastel female is "off" per my wife and seems to have some disorientation. I have not seen them and will check on them after I get home. They are resting in their old cages, clean and mite free.
I did call TMS this morning and found out their address had a different zip code than the one he sent me, it is 75707 instead of 75605. His mistake likely led to the non delivery. I posted the e-mail where he sent me the address to ship to. I also posted a copy of my invoice from Reptiles Express. I did not take a photo of the shipping label because I do not normally do that. I cannot seem to be able to pull if up again on my account. I did not ask to speak to his wife because i do not want to seem harassing. I would be mad if someone that I sent a package to called my work and feel this is inappropriate. I did ask if they had another location at zip 75605 and they stated they did not. I also asked if an Andy Jones worked there and they said he did. There is no way that I would ever send snakes on a two day journey to Texas where the heat is right at the shipping threshold just for fun. The TMS website lists a Susan as the accountant so I assume that is her.
I have e-mailed Andy and have not received a response numerous times. I emailed him the pics of the mites after the soaking last night- no response. I let him know that my pastel may have damage from the trip and if she does he is responsible for that. I also e-mailed him this afternoon letting him know that I think the animals need to see a vet before they are shipped back because I do not think they can make another tri. I don't want to be the one at fault if they arrive dead and I do not want to see them die. I also have offered to take the animals to my vet in Knoxville and call him with the amount it will take to treat them before anything is done. This is not a money thing with me, I just don't want these snakes to die and they NEED to see a vet.
I want these guys to make it and I fear they may not be able to hold out much longer. I am waiting for a response from him on this and hoping it is prompt.

SusanG,
I am sorry that you think I jumped the gun on this, please tell me what you would have done in this situation. Andy tried to ship me a couple of wild caught snakes that were in poor health when I specifically asked him about their origin and their health status before the trade. In my book that is lying. He ignored my e-mail yesterday morning about the arrival of the Timor pythons and only contacted me when he figured out the snakes were being shipped back to me- because of HIS mistake. I did try and talk it thru with Andy but we were both mad and I felt he would come on here and post about me. The last thing I want is to get screwed in a deal and then have a liar come on here and try and cover up what he did. The fact remains is that he KNOWINGLY lied to me, sent me a couple of snakes in VERY bad shape, ignored my e-mails about that situation, and then was too ignorant to give me the correct address to ship my snakes too. He even accused me of PUTTING MITES on his snakes yesterday. I feel like I have backed up everything I have stated so if you still think I am the one who is lying about this, please tell me why you think this?

Daryl,
And confirmed the address with me but we did not compare zip codes. It is plausible that the package might have been misdelivered because of the incorrect codes.
Why not give Andy another call and come to an understanding? Yesterday you were both upset, today might be a better day to discuss the matter and how to resolve it.

I'm glad you have your snakes back.
The zip you gave 75605 mathces the compnay his wife works for the first address you posted so does 75707 when you put it in google they both come up. So OK a bit confusing. I think you jumped the gun because you were on here posting in 3 hours. If my snakes were floating around in TX and I was worried about them dying in the heat I would have called the business (his wifes) or was the phone number wrong too.
Maybe you were both wrong lack of good communication. Saying he answered when they were for sale instantly, may have been a flook. Maybe on another day he would have answered about wrong address.
I think you said you were taking the Timors to the vet, good that would be the humane thing. To ignore them or not treat 'mites' is not the best thing. You seem to think these snakes are dying are you doing anything, because lack of communication on Andy's not should not reflect on the snakes, in my opinion.

I called Andy twice this morning, there was no problem getting him to answer me the first time. He missed my second call and called back within five minutes.

I tried calling Andy to no avail

Andy said he did not receive a call at that time.
He also says the Fedex hub is only a few miles from TMS.
I don't have a dog in this fight but events here are strange indeed.

Daryl, have you called Andy yet?

I can appreciate that there might be more to the story, but the number of mites on those snakes is disgusting. I'm not at all inclined to give Andy the benefit of the doubt after seeing all those dead mites in the water. :ack2:

Knox just another question five months ago you were liquidating, you changed your mind????
I would feel better if we could actually see a picture more in focus of those 'mites' they look kind of like well anything.
I have no dog in the fight, but this all seems kind of odd, just not matching up.
Knox you already posted pictures of your snakes before shipment I hope you will post pics when you get home of their condition.

I'm not sure anything overly positive would come from discussing the situation over the phone. If tempers are bound to flare up, I'd prefer to communicate in writing, where I can at least be sure to get all my thoughts across. Not to mention the greatly diminished possibility of it turning into even more of a "he said, she said" thing, when none of the conversation can be verified.

Resolution

I think the situation is now resolved. I did receive an e-mail from Andy with an apology and an offer for me to keep and treat the snakes. I accepted that and after reading the e-mail can see his side of this a little more. I am glad that what is best for the snakes is going to happen and I have an appointment tomorrow with my vet.

SusanG, I do not think you really are understanding what happened and I think you may have some problem with me anyway. I can accept that and wish you well. To answer your question I did have a situation 5 months ago where I broke my knee and was unable to care for my reptiles and tried to sell them. Thankfully, my wife (who does not like snakes) stepped it up and took care of my collection, even the rats.

Anyway, here is the e-mail from Andy and my response:

Scott,
I have seen the pics and like you I am sickened by them. These animals have been in a quarantine building since their arrival, supposedly under the care of some folks who worked for up until yesterday that is!
First of all, they should have never been shipped. Second of all, they were supposed to have been treated upon arrival for any parasites!
I apologize for any and all trouble involved with this transaction. My fault for allowing unsupervised employees to handle things in my absence.
The zip code was an error on our part also.
I apologize for my rudeness on the phone, but I had no idea what had actually transpired. I hope you can accept that.
As for the Tmors. They came from Ben Cooper @ Cooper's Exotics. He said they were CB. I didn't produce them.
Please feel free to keep the snakes. I'm sorry for the problems. It has been rectified by employee dismissal.

I hope this will satisfy your grievance .
Respectfully,
Andy

Andy,
Thank you for the reply. I can understand how this happened more
clearly because I did not know you had a large enough operation with
employees. I appreciate you getting back to me because the snakes
need to see a vet.
I will accept your offer of the snakes and promise that I will get the
snakes in to see a vet as soon as Dr. Hilla has an opening. As a
courtesy, I will send you a copy of the receipt showing that I am
being true to my word.
I also appreciate the apology and can accept that as well. It sounds
like we both want what is best for the snakes and I will do my best to
make sure that happens.
Sincerely,
Scott Bryan

I think the situation is now resolved.

I think that is a good resolution. He did sound like a nice person when I spoke with him on the phone.
I hope the mite situation resolves soon as well, and that your pair that went to Texas and came back are not adversely affected in the next few days and that they rest and recuperate.

I guess I'll be the unreasonable one in the crowd. Since this wasn't really a relatively minor issue, I have to ask if anyone can confirm that there even is a quarantine building, and that his operation is big enough to have his own employees?

If there was always the possibility that it could have been blamed on "unsupervised (now former) employees", it seems a bit odd that that wouldn't have been a possibility that he could have initially conceded to. This scenario isn't exactly about a slight misrepresentation, and I think that the severity of their condition may make it worth taking a closer look at.
